Lost in the musseques of Luanda, Angola ????????
My couch-surfing friend Marcus showed me around Angola's capital city, Luanda. First stop was a walk through the musseques (informal settlements), where we had some nice conversations with kids and had a hard time finding our way out. Then we visited Fortaleza de São Miguel for some education and history. And to finish off the day we had a few quiet drinks at some nice coastal spots.

Luanda, is located in Northern Angola on the West Coast of Southern Africa. The city of Luanda, is the capital of Angola and was formerly known as São Paulo de Luanda.

Luanda International Airport IATA: LAD, is located just 40 Kilometers (25 Miles) Southeast of the capital city.

The Ilha do Cabo in Luanda, is where you can find many different types of restaurants and bars.
Fortress of São Miguel:
One of the iconic landmarks in Luanda, is the Fortress of São Miguel. The Fortaleza de São Miguel or Saint Michael Fortress, as it is also known was originally 1575 and is now a popular tourist attraction in the city.

COQUEIROS, CIDADE ALTA E BAIRRO DO REALOJAMENTO DO PRENDA – Luanda, Angola ❤ ????????
Em mais este vídeo dedicado a cidade de Luanda em Angola começamos na Praia do Bispo para percorrermos a mítica Rua D. Francisco de Soveral e falarmos um pouco sobre ela e falando também do Observatório Meteorológico de Luanda, com o nome de João Capelo ou do balão como era popularmente chamado.
Quando chegamos já junto dos Coqueiros foi tempo de rumarmos para a Cidade Alta e mostrar algumas coisas que ficaram por mostrar no vídeo dedicado a ela. Percorremos a Rua e o Beco do Casuno para vermos um vídeo das fortes chuvas que caíram sobre Luanda no dia 19 de Abril de 2021, vimos um pouco melhor aonde era o Liceu Paulo Dias de Novais, percorremos onde antigamente ficava o Largo D. Pedro V, falamos sobre a igreja e colégio dos Jesuítas e depois descemos a antiga calçada de Santo António actual Domingos Tehakahanga.
Da Cidade Alta partimos para a Av. Ho Chi Minh, porá depois percorrermos a Rua do Laboratório de Engenharia que faz a separação entre o Bairro Cassenda e o Prenda, depois percorremos a Rua da Sagrada Esperança até à Samba e vimos aí a Igreja de São Pedro Apostolo e o Bairro do Realojamento do Prenda.
