Our Gear:
We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.

We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

Want to grab some great gear? We have used Osprey Packs for years & swear by them. Check them out here

Need some clothing for your next adventure? Patagonia has some pretty good stuff for all kinds of travelers.

Amish & Mennonite Community in Belize! ????????

Today was an adventure day as we drove 90 minutes from Belize City to Barton Creek, then onwards to Spanish Lookout searching for Amish and Mennonite communities.

I’ll be honest, it was tough to find residents who would talk with me on camera. But I did enjoy the challenge, and the whole day was impactful and I gained a very good look into the lives of the Mennonites and Amish community here in Belize.

The Amish way of life | FULL DOCUMENTARY

The Amish are one of the most surprising communities in the United States. Living as they did in the 17th century, they have no electricity or running water and travel by horse-drawn carriage. Mostly farmers, they lead an austere existence in near autarky. For them, only the word of the Lord counts, and they follow the biblical principles to the letter, inspired by their founder, Jacob Amman.

How can they live between an ancestral ideology and a civilization of consumption pushed to the extreme? What does it mean, in the 21st century, to live according to 400-year-old rules?

Belize: History & Culture

Belize. It’s a place where life slows down.
Find out more at:

Walking through this Central American country is like walking through time. From its glittering shores to its dense rainforests, people have lived here for thousands of years.

The earliest people to settle in Belize were the Mayans, in around 1500BC. Their two thousand year-old temples still stand today, waiting for you explore them Indiana-Jones style.

Today, Belize is a vibrant and exciting mix of backgrounds and cultures.

These English-speaking towns are relaxed and friendly, but there’s no urgency or stress here. It’s a diverse explosion of colour and joy. A place where just going to the market can bring a smile to your face.

This diversity is reflected in the country’s cuisine that bursts with taste and flavour. With Mayan, Caribbean and Mexican influences, food is a way of life here, and wandering the streets can be a culinary adventure.

In the more rural parts of Belize, you can experience the food of the Mayas, and learn how to make the best chocolate you will ever eat.

Organic chocolate and bananas are all part of a blossoming food economy and travel experience.

Belize is changing quickly. Its economy and accessibility is growing, and it’s becoming a dream destination for visitors looking for reef, rainforest, and fascinating culture.

But no matter what you are looking for, it’s safe to say that Belize offers the fun side of life.

My sad experience of Belize City - No one deserves to live like this.

My sad experience of Belize City - No one deserves to live like this.

I say it is my sad experience in Belize because the place that I will be taking you today, I don't think any human being deserve to live in such a place or even in such a condition. And I also think that, if you see the place I'm going to show you, you might slow down when you complain.

Every country in this world, if peaceful is has the potential of being a paradise; and yes Belize is a paradise but only when you can afford it. I've made a lot of videos showcasing the amazing tourist attractions Belizeans are blessed with but in this video I will like to show the struggles on the other side. First to raise awareness and second, to reach out to get help for the residents of Antelope Street extension in Belize City.

My name is Mickey... Keep watching!!

Why I Love Living in Belize

With over 200 pristine cayes (islands) scattered along Belize’s coastline—each surrounded by crystal clear, turquoise seawater that teems with brilliant fish, coral, and sponges.A favorite pastime on the cayes is to relax in a hammock, under a gently swaying coconut palm, while sipping an icy Belikin beer, or a pina colada.

The Most Dangerous Hood in Belize

Belize has one of the highest murder rates in the world, 37.79 per 100 000 inhabitants. It makes it fifth dangerous country in the world in 2022. Most of the problems are caused by the gangs which live in the infamous southern parts of Belize City. I wanted to see the situation with my own eyes and visited this sketchy neighborhood.

Northern Belize Expat Interview

Life in Northern Belize is as diverse as its amazing landscape. Over the years, locals and expats have built their homes and lives beside secluded tropical rivers, amid noble hardwood forests, upon bucolic traditional farms, within sleepy rural villages, and along breezy Caribbean seashores. They are attracted to a simple, friendly life in a place that is refreshingly off-the-radar.

In this video Phil Hahn interviews Mick Webb from Crooked Tree Lodge on what life is like for an expat in Belize.

Why I Moved to Belize

Here are some reasons why you should consider moving to Belize:

In Belize, you'll find silky, soft, sugar-white sand…impossibly blue skies against a turquoise sea…tropical palms swaying to a reggae beat…and friendly people who smile all the time. Yet English-speaking Belize is the most affordable destination in the Caribbean.
