Luxembourg is a small European country, surrounded by Belgium, France and Germany. It’s mostly rural, with dense Ardennes forest and nature parks in the north, rocky gorges of the Mullerthal region in the east and the Moselle river valley in the southeast. Its capital, Luxembourg City, is famed for its fortified medieval old town perched on sheer cliffs.

Let's walk around this beautiful weekend market in Luxembourg City at Place Guillaume II square and let's enjoy the views of this upscale food and flower market. The markets in Luxembourg City are located at Place Guillaume II which is a town square in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. Place Guillaume II square lies to the west of Krautmaart and to the north of Boulevard Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the heart of Luxembourg's historic Ville Haute quarter. Place Guillaume II square is colloquially known as Knuedler, from the Luxembourgish language's word for 'knot', referring to the knot in the belt worn by Franciscan friars.
The western half of the square is dominated by Luxembourg City Hall in the southwest, whilst the equestrian statue to former Grand Duke William II, after whom the square is named, is the prominent feature of the eastern half. Much of the square is ringed with trees, narrowing the open area (particularly around the statue).

Luxembourg is a tiny country in Central Europe which is surrounded on all sides by countries. Luxembourg's weather is characterized by a pleasant coolness in summer and cold winter months, but not too much. Heavy rains falling in the winter, and sometimes even in summer.
Luxembourg, as a country surrounded by three powerful European countries, is influenced quite a bit of the culture of each one of them, but also manages to maintain, however, a local tradition. It has important museums, as the most important ones are located in its capital: the National Museum of History and Art, the Museum of History of Luxembourg City, Museum of Modern Art and the National Museum of Military History.
Some of the world's most important artists came from Luxembourg: Painters Joseph diameter and Michelle Jarus and photographer Edward pads. In addition, Luxembourg was announced today as the capital of European culture twice: first in 1995 and then in 2007.

Luxembourg, also known as Luxembourg City is the capital city of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and the country's most populous commune. Standing at the confluence of the Alzette and Pétrusse rivers in southern Luxembourg, the city lies at the heart of Western Europe, situated 213 km by road from Brussels, 372 km from Paris, and 209 km from Cologne. The city contains Luxembourg Castle, established by the Franks in the Early Middle Ages, around which a settlement developed.
As of January 2016, the commune had a population of 115,227, which was more than three times the population of the country's second most populous commune (Esch-sur-Alzette). The city's metropolitan population, including that of surrounding communes of Hesperange, Sandweiler, Strassen, and Walferdange, reaches 180,000.
In 2011, Luxembourg was ranked as having the second highest per capita GDP in the world at $80,119 (PPP), with the city having developed into a banking and administrative centre. In the 2011 Mercer worldwide survey of 221 cities, Luxembourg was placed first for personal safety while it was ranked 19th for quality of living. It is a seat of several institutions of the European Union, including the European Court of Justice, the European Court of Auditors, the Secretariat of the European Parliament, the European Investment Bank, the European Investment Fund, and the European Stability Mechanism.

One of Europe's smallest countries - The beautiful Liechtenstein (Vaduz city)
Liechtenstein is the sixth smallest country in the world and it is located between Austria and Switzerland, with the size of only 162 square kilometers. The country is located in the Upper Rhine Valley in the European Alps and is one of the only 2 doubly landlocked countries in the world. It is Europe's last absolute monarchy/principality, and its monarchs are the richest royals in Europe. The Capital of the country is Vaduz with only around 5400 people. One interesting fact about this country is that there are more registered companies and jobs than there are people. This means that the country is very rich and has the most exports per capita per person. They use Swiss Franc as their currency and they speak German language but with a certain dialect. Liechtenstein has no airport so the best way to go there is through Austria or Switzerland by train or car. It is a perfect side trip when you are already near the boarder of these 2 countries.
Tip: You can have your passport stamped at the Toursim/ post office in Vaduz for around 3 euros.
