The Original Black’s Barbecue is the oldest in Texas, run by the same family since 1932. 3rd Generation Pitmaster Kent Black slow smokes all Barbecue the way his grandfather did in 1932. A simple rub, local Post Oak Wood and patience is the secret. Their brisket is truly legendary.

???? HOMEMADE SAUSAGE: Black’s BBQ’s 80 year old recipe and techniques remain the same as each ring is hand stuffed and hand tied, then smoked to perfection. Take the brisket trimmings and chop them up, then place them in a mixer. Along with the chopped meat, add the mixture (salt, pepper, and a flour based binder) and water. Fine grind it so it comes out looking almost like hamburger meat. Pour into the stuffer. Stuff the casings with ground meat. Cut and tie them. Place in the smoker and allow them to smoke for about an hour.

????PRICE: $3.99 per ring

???? BRISKET: Take raw brisket and trim off the fat. Begin by cutting some of the lean end off (this meat is used for sausage). Trim off the edges to make it round and make it more aerodynamic, which helps give the brisket less chance to burn. Cut off 2/3 of the hard fat. Continue trimming. Add Blacks secret seasoning, which includes special salt and pepper, red pepper, cayenne and secrets, and massage into the fibers of the meat. Place the raw brisket in the smoker and allow it to smoke for 6 hours. After the first cook, let the meat rest by removing the brisket and placing it in a walk-in cooler to dry-age for a few days. After dry-aging, it’s time for the second cook. Place the brisket back in the smoker for another roughly 6 hours, until your brisket is mouth-wateringly perfect. Don’t forget to enjoy it with Black’s infamous Norma Jean’s Original BBQ Sauce!

TERRY BLACK'S BBQ | AUSTIN TEXAS BEST BARBECUE

If you're searching for the BEST BBQ in Texas, look no further! Terry Black's BBQ is the absolute must visit when you're in the area.

They have 3 locations; Austin, Dallas, & Lockhart.

The line is always long, so try to go early otherwise you'll expect to wait at least 25-35 minutes. At least there'll be plenty of BBQ left by the time you're up to order. Their BBQ pit is massive! Cooking up to 3000 lbs of meat a day!

Their meat is smokey, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Their side dishes are amazing also. Staff are very friendly and helpful!

Make sure to get their Beef Ribs! It's their priciest item but definitely worth it! Brisket is amazing as well. Too bad they ran out of pork ribs, but I'm sure it is out of this world!

If you don't want to wait in line, just pre-order online and pick up for to-go.

For me, one of the ultimate American food meals to eat is awesome BBQ - when the meat is smoked perfectly so it slides off the bone, and the flavor is packed full of insane smokiness. My brother in law Derek had already been to Little Miss BBQ, but it was my first time to eat here, and I was so excited.

I arrived a little over an hour early to get in line, but luckily as soon as you pull up you get a number so that you don’t actually have to wait in line the entire time.

Scott and the entire crew at Little Miss BBQ are amazing, and you can immediately feel their passion and their genuine love for what they do and for the people they get to interact with everyday as a result of serving the best BBQ in Phoenix! Scott and his wife have an interesting and amazing grassroots history and start to their BBQ business. They first started making BBQ at home just because they loved doing it. Eventually they started competing in American BBQ competitions. At the beginning things didn’t go so well, but they kept going and perfecting their BBQ recipes and eventually started to win some of the competitions. Eventually they opened Little Miss BBQ, and it’s one of the best BBQ spots you’ll ever eat at.

So after getting the full tour of the restaurant and all the smoked meat, it was about time to open. You line up outside and the actual inside is quite small - most people either takeaway or eat outside.

I wanted to try a little of everything, so we got a giant tray of smoked BBQ meat including pork ribs, pulled pork, turkey, sausage, brisket, and beef ribs, with sides. Total price for the entire tray came to $92.70 - that was a lot of meat!

Thanks to my brother in law Derek for coming out to eat as well. We started with the beef ribs, and those are the best of the best. The meat falls apart and it was so insanely juicy and flavorful. The BBQ brisket will also blow you mind with its massive meaty flavor and juiciness. Finally my other top meat was the sausage, including jalapeno and a mix of meat and bacon.

Lastly, you have to eat your American food bbq feast with their famous pecan pie. And even though I’m not into sweets, a few bites at the end was amazing.

Little Miss BBQ is a phenomenal BBQ restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona. Not only will the quality and taste of the meat blow you away, but the passion of Scott and the entire crew are so genuine and so friendly, and that’s what makes it so good.

Ranked best barbecue by D Magazine in 2018, the meat cutters at Cattleack serve beef ribs, brisket, and pork ribs to lines of people waiting to eat at the backyard-themed restaurant. What started off as a hobby for owners Todd and Misty David, Cattleack BBQ has now become a popular lunch spot able to seat hundreds of people.

Despite its popularity, it remains open for lunch only twice a week on Thursdays, Fridays, and the first Saturday of each month. We visited the popular BBQ joint to check out the seven smokers on their property, try our hand at slicing brisket, and serve customers alongside the owners.

Texas is known for delicious barbecue and in Austin, Terry Black's BBQ is one of the very best! As a first time visitor to Texas and a lover of all things BBQ I went and tried it for myself. It was DELICIOUS!! While visiting I also tried Cooper's Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que Austin and it was great as well!

Where is your favorite Texas BBQ?

(unfortunately I didn't have the time to try Franklin's as I hear it is the best, but the lines take forever.)

It is truly an experience in BBQ. Using Post Oak to get that beautiful smoke and buttery flavor. They definitely show their pride in their roots just in the restaurant alone. It's decked out like a traditional Texas BBQ joint. You don't sit down at a table and get served. No you go through the line and create your unique BBQ experience under the watchful eye of the masters at work.
