Swimming with Dolphins in Mauritius!
A short teaser of me swimming with wild dolphins in Mauritius earlier this week ! This was one of the activities we filmed for the Global Child travel episode here and I'm so excited to see the full version now. We found both bottlenose and spinner dolphins in the open ocean and there were SO many of them, I even heard their squeaking and clicking sounds underwater as I followed them from above (not easy to keep up!!). A truly magnificent experience. Thank you Vitamin Sea Mauritius ( ) for the memorable day. This is definitely one of the top things to do in Mauritius. Watch in 4K for best quality.

This pod of dolphins is regularly seen off the coastline of Mauritius and swimming with them in the wild is one of life’s most special moments. Just don’t forget to respect their underwater world and let them come to you if they choose.
The west coast is their favourite playground and you can see both bottlenose and spinner dolphins here, often travelling in pods of 20. Sometimes we are lucky enough to spot over 100 sliding through the water to the deeper ocean off Le Morne peninsula!

Today we had the opportunity to swim with dolphins at Black River, Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. After reading several reviews online we decided to go out with Dolswim. We met the skipper at 6:50am on a beautiful and sunny Sunday morning. The conditions were perfect and the dolphins were moving slowly and gracefully through the lagoon between Black River and Le Morne.

Swimming with dolphins in Mauritius, a surreal experience!
We met up with friends early on Saturday morning and boarded a boat with one goal in mind, find and swim with dolphins! A bucket list item checked off but I have a feeling this won’t be the last time we swim with these beautiful animals.
