Project Description
This is a short travel video of my 2 1/2 week trip around Japan in late November 2016. Japan is an amazing country with a unique coexistence between the old and the new that sometimes boggles the mind of a foreigner. At its heart lies a beautiful country, filled with generous and polite people always willing to help a lost stranger with map reading issues.
During my brief visit, I passed through Tokyo, Shirahama, Kumano Kodo, Koya San, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and some strange and wonderful places in between. I hope you enjoy the video I've made of this little journey and many thanks to all the people I met along the way!

I have filmed both modern and traditional aspects of Japan for several years. This is just like a director's cut and trailer style editing from my past travel filmmaking.

This corona forced me to travel around my country, which I wasn't very interested in at first, but by experiencing a country I didn't know, I was able to respect and love it. Getting lost in tokyo appeared to be very easy given the enourmous dimensions of this megacity but as time passed we learned that no matter how crazy those japanese signs look there is always a light to lead you into the right direction.
This video features famous places in Tokyo such as the busy intersection of Shibuya, famous Asakusa and the well known district of Shinjuku.
We visited SkyTree, Tokyo Tower and Mori Tower as well as the free Metropolitan Government Building.
Japan was by far the most polite and clean country we have ever been to and it is a beautiful place to travel.
We learned a lot while this journey and our footage now finally resulted in this cinematic travel video about Tokyo!

Kyoto, Japan | a7iii Cinematic Travel Film
My family spent 4 days in Japan exploring Nagoya, a commercial manufacturing and shipping hub, and Kyoto, Japan's famously recognized cultural capital.
Both cities were culturally unique - and despite the fact that Nagoya was a lot less touristy, its cuisine offerings were nothing short of mouth-watering. Kyoto had become increasingly commercialized, which was no surprise considering the throngs of people who flock to the famous few attractions like Fushimi Inari and the Kiyomizu-dera temple.
This video documents our short 4 day journey through the many cultural wonders of Japan, not forgetting the great food we tried along the way. Thank you for watching!
