The fall season lasts roughly from mid September, through October and November, and into early December.
With an abundance of internationally renowned temples and shrines, Kyoto is a perfect destination for autumn leaf viewing.
The main colors are the brilliant reds and scarlets of the Japanese maple as well as the pale yellow of the ginkgo tree.
