RV Awning Fabric Replacement - Easy Way (RV Living Full Time) 4K
Hurricane ripped off our awning - Hurricane, Utah that is - during the hot month of July. We needed a replacement awning.
We have had our 2017 Grand Design Solitude fifth wheel trailer since 2019.
And our first camping trip, before we started traveling in our RV full time, our awning arms hit a tree. So, we installed new arms - stronger.
We also added a Carefree of Colorado EZ Zip awning shade in about a year ago.
Now, while camping at Sand Hallow State Park near Zion National Park, our already damaged, dried, and ripped awning fabric finally came unstitched.
Unfortunately, Utah state parks did not allow Amazon deliveries - so we had to wait until we were near a UPS store to get our new awning replacement shade material from ShadePro through Amazon & install it. - That took a month- in July in Utah. so hot,- and we were drycamping in that month. @Carefreeofcolorado
In this video, we show you the ripped awning, how we tied the awning arms down so we could safely travel and how we installed the new awning replacement fabric without having to take apart the awning arms.

Instant Shade - Installing a RV Sunblocking Awning
#awingshade #rvshades #carefreeawing We have put this purchase off for too long. Joan and I have talked about purchasing a sunshade to add to our awing for some time. This year in Florida, the morning to mid-day sun made our patio time impossible. We would just cook due to the angle of the sun and the height of our awing.
Now we are in the North Georgia mountains with a great camping spot, but the sun sets on the awning side of our camper and again our outside time has been limited to the early morning hours.
The fix was to install a sunblocking awing. We chose one by Carefree. The Amazon rating were very good and we were able to find a size that fit our camper awning. The installation was very simple, taking about 30 minutes.
The results are perfect. This shade isn't 100% blocking still allowing a view, but most of all, prevents the hot sun from baking our sitting area.

EZ Zip RV Awning Sun Screen. Unbox & Install
Just a quick video showing the initial install of our new awning sunshade. The CAREFREE 701307ACD Black 13' x 7' Drop RV Awning EZ Zip Blocker, purchased on Amazon for around $166 box before tax. Total install time was only about 20 minutes and was easy to do with only one person. Quick and easy and well worth the money. You can definitely feel the difference in temperature when you have this attached to the awning. Wish I had purchased on sooner.

Fulltime RV Living - Making Shade & Privacy - CHEAP!
