This is the Second video of Day-10 of my Russian trip in which you will see me exploring the Altai Mountains, the unexplored part of beautiful Russia. I managed to reach Onguday with the help of a lovely elderly couple. After that, I got a lift in another car from Onguday to Geyzernoye Ozero, a place near Aktach. I stayed with Dima and Tanya in a log hut in Geyzernoye Ozero. We all paid 500 Rubles each for a night. Interestingly that was the coldest night of my trip. The temperature dipped to almost -10-degree Celsius. More details -

Indian hitchhiker with Russian Roadtrippers : Beautiful Russia (Gorno-Altaysk)

Today was the 8th day of ‘hitchhiking in Russia’ trip. After a short visit to Alex and Marina’s apartment in Byisk, I started to hitchhike for Gorno-Altaysk, the capital town of Altai Republic. The total distance between Gorno Altaysk and Byisk is 108 kilometres. Thanks to Alex and Marina who dropped me on the outskirts of the Byisk town. I always choose to start hitchhiking from a point outside of the city. There are more chances of getting a lift for a long distance if you stand outside of a city or town.

Watch the warmth and the hospitality of the ordinary people of Russia. An Indian tourist while hitchhiking in the Altay mountains got help from a Russian family. The location in the video is Chusky Tract in the beautiful Altai Mountains. To be specific about the location the video was shot between somewhere near Gorno Altaysk (Altay Republic) & Novosibirsk of Russia. This area is in the Siberia, which is one of the coldest parts on earth.

Why Russians loved this Indian tourist! (Chusky Tract: Altai Mountains)

Watch this video to know why almost every Russian loved this Indian tourist! An Indian backpacker took this video during hitchhiking in Russia in 2017. The location in the video is Chusky Tract in the beautiful Altai Mountains. To be specific about the location the video was shot between Barangol & Onguday in the Altay region of Russia. This area is in the Siberia, which is one of the coldest parts on earth. So you will see a lot of snow in a particular stretch (Seminsky Pass) in this video.

Worshipping nature with the Altai - BBC News

BBC's Pop Up team is in Russia. For the past month, they've been travelling across the country filming stories suggested by viewers on social media and by Russians they've come across on their travels. The Altai people - who live in the Altai Republic in southern Siberia - are one of the hundreds of ethnic groups in Russia. They have been part of the region for 300 years. BBC Pop Up went to visit an Altai woman, Baba Tasya, to talk about her work and the Altai relationship with nature. This story was suggested through the #bbcpopup hashtag on Twitter.

Gorno-Altaysk is the capital town of the Altai Republic, Siberia, Russia. Situated in the foothills of the Altai Mountains, a beautiful offbeat city. The city is located on the northern border of the Altai Republic in a valley of two rivers. Altai, Chuysky Trakt: The Most Beautiful Road of Siberia

Chuysky Trakt in Siberia is perhaps the most famous and beautiful road in Russia, stretching 997 km (620 miles) through Altai to the border with Mongolia. The road is a scenic adventure and stunning scenery: mountains, rivers, and lakes of incredible beauty. Chuysky Trakt is recognized as one of the most beautiful roads in the world by National Geographic.

NOVOSIBIRSK, RUSSIA : FROM AN INDIAN TRAVELLER'S EYES

Today is the second last day of my Russian trip. I stayed with Roman and his friend Sasha. Both are seasoned hitchhikers and Couchsurfers. After editing a video in the first half of the day, I went with Roman to have a glimpse of Novosibirsk. With a population of around 1.5 million people, It is said to be the third largest city of Russia.

In this video, Roman takes me to some random places in Novosibirsk. You can see how is a usual day in this city. We take a minibus, which is called ‘Marshrutka’ in Russia, to reach the city center. Then we visit a library. After that, he goes to attend a meeting, and I explore the city on foot. I reached a museum of Nicholas Roerich, the great traveller, philosopher and a painter who spent a significant part of his life in Naggar, Himachal Pradesh.

There is something about Sberbank of Russia, Churches, Christianity, Differently abled people, Metro, Trams and other city transportation in this video.

My First Hitchhiking in Siberia, Russia | Journey from Novosibirsk to Biysk, Altai Region

In this video, I have shared my first hitchhiking experience in Russia. I have travelled from Novosibirsk to Biysk Altai Krai, which is part of Siberia.
It took me almost 5 hours to complete this journey of 400 KM. Russian people are very good and hitchhiking is not that difficult here. During my Journey the countryside and the view was amazing through out the road. Please watch the video for more details.

I have done hitchhiking from Biysk to Gorno-Altaysk Russia in a truck, Siberia. taken a lift in a Russia mini truck, Russian people are really helpful. On the way really mesmerized with the view in Siberian highway in Beautiful Autumn.
