HOW TO GET TO HAPPY BAY, ST. MARTIN
One of the most beautiful beaches on St. Martin is Happy Bay. It's secluded, has incredible white sand and the water is calm. This beach has stayed gorgeous mostly because no one ever goes to it. And there is a reason for that. It's not very easy to get to.
Happy Bay beach is located on the French side of the island of St. Martin|St.Maarten. The easiest way to get to it is by hiking to it from Friar's Bay, which is a more popular beach with two restaurants.
The hike is very easy and can even be done in flip flops, so don't be concerned about how advanced of a hiker you need to be.
There is a path located on the north side of Friar's Bay (right side when facing the ocean) and it's easy to spot. Take this path which follows the coastline for about 10-15 minutes. As long as you stay on the coastline, you really can't go off the path.
After your gentle stroll through the woods while avoiding the inguanas that may fall from the trees, you will reach Happy Bay beach. This beach is completely void of restaurants, chairs, umbrellas and for the most part, people. Here you are free to bare it all and get rid of all those peksy tan lines.
You may notice a few things leftover from the SXM Music Festival, which throws a huge beach party here.
Remember to bring your sunscreen, some water or other beverages and even a snack if you plan on staying awhile. If you're looking for peace and quiet while listening to the ocean, this is the beach for you.

I was here during the lockdown and this is the best time to show you how this island really looks like without the tourists.
I am one of the few tourists who got stuck on this island.
I was not really stuck, because I did not want to take the flight back home.
I'm actually enjoying my stay on this island without other tourists.
Empty streets, empty beaches and all the beautiful places are less crowdy.
This is my ultimate dream to visit countries like this.
Unfortunately this pandemic brings also a lot of depression to the locals.
This island suffers a lot, because they were still rebuilding the island after hurricane irma, and now they are suffering because of this pandemic.
More than 90% of the people on this island live from the tourism.
Let's hope that this pandemic will go away as soon as possible.

How to get to Lover's Beach, St. Martin - Secret Beach
I heard rumors of a beach in St. Martin called Lover's Beach. I have been checking off my list of all 37 beaches located on this tiny island in the Caribbean, so when I heard about this one from one of my followers (Thanks, Paul!) I knew I had to explore it and let people know exactly where it is. There have been a few blogs written about it and they all do a solid job of finding it, but I wanted to take this to the next level. So without further ado...here's how to get to Lover's Beach, a beach for two, on the island of St. Martin|St. Maarten.
Directions on getting to Lover's Beach
1. Drive towards Friar's Bay Beach
2.Take left at white bridge. Do not go over the bridge. You're going thr wrong way!
3. Go to the end of the road until you reach the bottom of a hill with an orange building on your left. TAKE A RIGHT.
4. Drive to the end of this long and bumpy road.
5. Park when you reach the ocean. Since you can't go any further.
6. Go through the pink gate on your left when facing the ocean.
7. Follow this path for about 2-3 minutes. If you can't see the stone beach behind you, or Anguilla over the ocean, you have gone too far.
8. You will know you have found it because you will see it. Haha...careful climbing down.
9. Strip down and enjoy your day on Lover's Beach!
10. Leave the beach the way you found it and head home.

Lovers Beach Saint Martin
Lovers Beach, situated on the French side between Friars Bay and Galisbay, is most likely the smallest beach on St.Maarten/St.Martin. Nestled between beautifully shaped rock formations,
it’s really a hidden gem of a beach. Although you have to climb down steep rocks to finally get to the location, it’s definitely worth the effort. Another interesting hiking opportunity on our beautiful island.

How to get to Friar’s Bay French Saint Martin-Don’t worry, beach Happy ????
One of the few areas on St-Martin not much effected by Hurricane Irma is Friar's Bay. Since this beautiful bay is well protected from the wind and heavy surf, it is ideal for the whole family.
Friar's Bay Beach is about a 1/4 mile long with two beach bars/restaurants and plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to rent.

This beach is not for everyone.
It is the most remote beach on the Island.
But for me it was a challenge to find these beaches.
I always open up my Google Maps and my Maps.me to see which beaches I still haven't visited yet.
This one was on my list for a long time but I was wondering where the trail starts.
So there are two ways to get to this beach, the 'easy' way or the 'hard' way.
The hard way is the hike from Petit Plage until Bell Beach and it takes 1.8 km.
The easy way is the hike from the MARQUIS Boutique Hotel & Spa on the Pigeon Pea Hill 81170 and it takes 1.2km.
I took the easy way from the MARQUIS hotel and started my hike from there.
