Explorers Are Us - Hayden Falls Park is located on the West side of the Scioto River, along Hayden Run Road. A boardwalk, steps and an overlook were constructed in 2006 to aid in access, but also to protect the natural ecosystem. This ecosystem is home to a beautiful 35-foot waterfall and also rare and endangered plants. There are a few picnic tables on the two acres park and a very small parking lot.

Hayden Falls Park is located on the West side of the Scioto River, just along Hayden Run Road, West of Griggs Reservoir bridge. A boardwalk, steps and an overlook were constructed in 2006 to aid in accessibility of the community viewers, but as to protect the natural ecosystem as well. There are a few picnic tables are on upper level and a small parking lot is also available. This park includes a unique gorge habitat that only occurs along the western shore of the Scioto River. This ecosystem is home to a beautiful 35-foot waterfall and also rare and endangered plants.

We went on a mission to find cool locations in the Columbus area and stumbled on Hayden Falls. It was a nice little area with a tidy boardwalk and 30 foot waterfall at the end of the trial. Enjoy the quick tour of the area and go check it our for yourself!

The main feature is Hayden Falls which is between Hilliard and Columbus Ohio. Many strategic shots in this video looking over the bring of the falls.

Waterfallin' - Exploring Waterfalls in Urban Columbus, Ohio
In these uncertain times, sometimes it's nice to just look at a waterfall...
I had a few minutes to kill before attending a conference in Columbus, Ohio, so I decided to swing by and check out two waterfalls I had heard about but never been to--Hayden Run and Indian Run. Wow, was I surprised!
I also had the new Canon with me, so I decided to do a little practice for bigger trips. Let me know what you think! This video was shot in 1080p and upscaled to 1440p. I think it turned out pretty well.

This weeks adventure takes us to Scioto Audubon Metro park & Hayden Falls Park. If you think you have to go far outside of the city to find nature and hiking trails you are wrong. Scioto Audubon Metro park is full awesome things to keep you busy all day. Scioto Audubon Metro park has a playground, rock wall, natural trails, and even a cross fit course. There is so much to do at Scioto Audubon Metro park you could spend several days there.
Another special place to go for a quick hike in the city is Hayden Falls Park. Just outside of down town Columbus, Ohio, Hayden Falls Park offer several hiking trails, one is the Hayden Falls trail, that takes you to a small waterfall.

The sign for the small parking lot for Hayden Falls says Griggs Nature Preserve, and this small parking lot is located along Hayden Run Road, in between Dublin Road and Riverside Drive. This park includes a unique gorge habitat that only occurs along the western shore of the Scioto River. This ecosystem is home to a beautiful 35-foot waterfall and also rare and endangered plants.
Did you know you aren’t supposed to climb Hayden Falls? There are endangered plant species on the actual cliff faces, which makes climbing Hayden Falls a serious environmental crime – and it’s important to protect the endangered plant species!

Hayden Run Falls is a Nice Waterfall. It does have 48 stairs down to the walk path to the Falls. A smaller parking lot which can get busy. But a Hidden Gem in the city off of the Scioto River near Griggs Reservoir.
