HANOI TRAIN STREET: Vietnam's MOST DANGEROUS Street ????

Hanoi's Train Street is Vietnam's most dangerous and surprisingly most famous street. In October 2019, visiting it as a tourist was presumably banned, because of the previous problems the railway operators had. What caused the final ban was when the train had to make an emergency stop to avoid hitting tourists. As far as we know, no accident happened so far due to the tourists coming there.

As of start of 2021, during a world pandemic, the street is open for business, but one wonders if this will be the case once the country reopens.

Seeing videos of how it looked like with hordes of tourists makes it clear, why such actions were taken. Hopefully they find a way to make it work.

Hanoi Trainstreet (Close-up Train View) - ???????? Vietnam [4K HDR] Walking Tour

Virtual tour of the infamous and notorious Trainstreet in Hanoi, stunning close-up views. Click here ▶ to see highlights and guide.

(From Wiki)
The traffic in Vietnamese cities is famously harrowing, motorbikes zooming perilously between cars. There is one street in Hanoi where traffic is not a problem: a small residential lane between Le Duan and Kham Thin near the Old Quarter. A high speed train hurtles between the buildings twice a day.

Dominated by the tracks, the lane where the train runs is incredibly narrow. During most of the day, locals treat the tracks like they would any other street. Children play there, people bicycle over the wooden ties. But when they feel the rumbling of the engine, they jump back into their houses or press themselves flat against the walls of their homes.

This is one of Hanoi’s more dangerous attractions, as the trains will not slow down, even if someone is on the tracks. While the train street is a photographer’s dream, visitors should do as the locals do and get out of the way when the train comes. The trains are scheduled every day at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm, and they come from the south.

????EARLY BIRD TICKETS NOW ON SALE! - VIETNAM BUDDYMOON TOUR 2024

BUDDYMOON DAY 594/1000 (VLOG 167)

We have been traveling Vietnam from South to North and one of the cities we were looking forward to the most was Hanoi. The one thing we wanted to experience in Hanoi was train street, where you can sit in a coffee shop right next to the side of the train tracks and have the train come inches away from you as it travels past.

However, this train street is kind of a hidden secret due to it's location. Many tourists go to the wrong place because the location of this place on google is not the correct one. Therefore, our mission was to try an find the real train street.

We also went out to explore Hanoi and try the Obama Bun Cha. This is a dish made famous when President Obama went to Hanoi and ate a Bun Cha at a locals restaurant. Although we have tried a Bun Cha before, we wanted to see if the Obama Bun Cha was better than the others that we have tasted. We also gave coconut coffee a try at the famous Note Cafe.

4K HDR | Hanoi Train Street Walking Tour By Night | Vietnam 2023 - Binaural Audio & Captions

The Hanoi Train Street is most polular tourist spot in Hanoi. It's where you can see a train pass through a narrow street surrounded by cafes.
We went at night - friday in May saw a train at around 9h30pm and it was pretty cool and the street is very beautiful.
Train Time :“Monday to Friday” 19:00 -19:15 -19:45 - 20:00 -20:45 - 21:15 - 21:30 - 22:00
“Saturday Sunday” 8:30 - 9:30 -11:30 15:20 -16:30 17:30 -18:00 19:00 -19:20 -19:45 - 20:45 -21:15
How to Enter
Train street is blocked off and guarded. You will not be admitted without an owner escorting you
so you will only be able to enter if you follow a local to one of their coffee shops.
you just need to hang around near the street (not right at the gate with the guards) and someone will ask if you want coffee and you can follow them to their coffee shop. Easier to get in from ‘P. Trần Phú’ street. Behave yourself, be patient and be friendly - if the shop owners like you they might let you walk up and get some photos. Just be respectful, don’t go wandering on tracks where the police can see as the locals fear of their shops being closed down like what has happened before.

HANOI, VIETNAM - EVERYTHING TO SEE AND DO IN 48 HOURS

Welcome to the third video in our Vietnam series! In this video, we will be showing you everything to see and do in 48 hours in HANOI, VIETNAM!

We are spending 3 weeks in this beautiful country and we are currently in the city of Hanoi! We have been completely submerged in the hustle and bustle of the city. Hanoi has so much to offer and in today’s video, we are going to be taking you around and showing you all of the do not miss, top sights!

Our first stop was the Temple of Literature. There are 5 different courtyards to walk through and admire. and the city has done a lovely job of maintaining the grounds and the perfectly manicured gardens.

We also made stops at the Hoa Lo Prison, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Trúc Bạch Lake, and so much more!

One of our favorite stops was the Hanoi Train street! It’s a tiny narrow street surrounded by high narrow houses packed closely together. These families’ backyards are the railways where the train passes a few times per day. Ask the locals about the train schedule to get there for the best time!

There is so much to see and do in Hanoi! Hopefully, this video will help you plan a wonderful itinerary in this beautiful city!

Don’t miss next week when we check off a bucket list item and cruise Ha Long Bay!

Hanoi TRAIN STREET and Old Quarter | India to Vietnam, Vlog #2

In this video, we spend Friday night roaming the streets of the Old Quarter in Hanoi. Every weekend, in the evening, the streets are closed for traffic and the entire town comes to walk and chill.
We also tried foot massage after midnight in one of the random spas in Hanoi, and it was easily the worst massage in Vietnam.
The next day, we visit the famous Train street and have lunch at one of the cafes. Do not miss Arif's obsession with Litchi and the craziness on the beer street. More videos coming very very soon.
