First Time in Finland | 48 Hours in Helsinki
We have arrived in Finland for the very first time and we are so excited to kick start our winter Christmas European getaway with 48 hours right here in Helsinki!
Day 1 of Jess epic European Christmas she has dreamt of as a kid begins with hot chocolates, roasting sausages by the fire in a red traditional hut.

Next up we needed to try a Finnish tradition - their Finnish spa experience of getting warmed up in a sauna and then jumping into icy cold water (don't ask me why they do it!)

We then attempted to find some Christmas markets (we were a tad early) so we resorted to some hot Glögi before calling it a night.
The next day we went to market square to try some warm creamy salmon soup, headed to Christmas street -

7 Days in FINLAND ???? Lapland, Glass Igloo, Northern Lights, Santa Claus | Travel Vlog
We spend a week in the Winter Wonderland of Finland - Starting in Lapland, we visit the Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, meet THE Father Christmas, experience a husky ride, and take an Ice Breaker Cruise in the Baltic Sea, walking on the ice and swimming in the freezing cold waters too. Then we drive further north into Lapland, deep in the Arctic Circle to stay in a glass igloo and log cabin trying to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights in the sky, following a reindeer ride.
Finally we finish in Helsinki, Finlands Capital and take a day trip to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia just across the water via Ferry.

HEAVY Snowfall after Blizzard in Helsinki Finland ☃️❄️????
Helsinki transformed into a Winter Wonderland after yesterday's snowstorm. But it was the day after the Blizzard that the snowfall was its heaviest with some beautiful big snowflakes. When it was most intensively snowing, I went to wander on the streets of Taka-Töölö and Etu-Töölö in downtown Helsinki.

Trip to Winter Lapland, Finland. 360 video in 8K
We wish Happy New Year to everyone. All the best in the new 2022 year!
Don't forget that this is 360 video: you can change the angle of view. The nature of Finland is wonderful at any season but winter is the time for the active outdoor activity. AirPano team visited the very south part of Lapland, the area of Ruka Ski Resort. For the Finnish people accustomed to freezing temperatures, this place is “not truly Lapland”. But as for any other tourist who is used for a shiny white winter, the local winter is amazing and hardly seems to differ from more severe northern regions. We aimed to capture beautiful winter landscapes and the weather was also favourable: both expeditions took place at the temperature of 20ºC below zero.

Trying Ice Swimming and Finnish Saunas in Helsinki, Finland ????????
Country #7 is FINLAND! Our very first stop was Helsinki, Finland, where we decided to give both ice swimming and a traditional Finnish sauna a try. The Finns are known for mixing hot sauna sessions with freezing polar plunges (or rolling in the snow), and after a very nervous and sleepless night, we took on the challenge. The exhilarating day was concluded with a nice treat of fire-roasted sausages doused in mustard, in true Finnish tradition. Finland is off to an amazing start, and we can’t wait to continue venturing through the country. ????????

I went to Flying Tiger, and saw what they have for Christmas. I could see how Finnish people are REAL for Joulu (Christmas)????. Then I went to Senaatintori Christmas market, Cafe Engel, Hard Rock cafe Helsinki, and KotKot punavuori. I did lots of things for one day because I couldn't do 'early check-in'.???? Oops! I had lunch in Lazy Fox. :)

Winter Wonderland: Our Cabin In Lapland - Exploring Rovaniemi And Beyond - Finland
We rented a Magical Winter Cabin in the Arctic Circle, two hours from Rovaniemi, Lapland. This magical winter cabin was our home for 4 days as we explore the wilderness around Äkäslompolo in Northern Finland. We wanted a more peaceful holiday away from all the tourist attractions many go to see in Rovaniemi.
This also gave us a greater chance of seeing the aurora borealis or the Northern Lights. Join us to see if we managed to spot this elusive phenomenon?
Also during our wonderful winter cabin holiday in Lapland, we will stop briefly at the Santa Claus village to see what all the fuss is about, take an overnight sleeper train to the Capital Helsinki and find out more about the indigenous people called the Sami. So there are lots to take away from this Magical Winter Cabin trip, and let's not forget all the SNOW making it a very cosy, snowy Christmas Holiday!
