Climate change never felt more real to my eyes until I arrived here in KIRIBATI - a small island nation in the Central Pacific Ocean.

The rising sea levels are quickly shrinking this country, which has a peak altitude of 3 meters. It's projected to be entirely underwater by the year 2100.

While many countries are feeling the impacts of climate change, nobody is more threatened right now than the 100,000+ residents of Kiribati.

The question now becomes, how do we prevent the people here from becoming climate refugees? The only 4 options I can think of are the following:

1. Build a higher sea wall (which will cost billions of USD)
2. Buy land overseas for them to relocate (will also cost a fortune)
3. Send more Kiribati citizens abroad (i.e. Australia and New Zealand) for jobs, and they can slowly adapt to a new life
4. Boost tourism in Kiribati so people can see firsthand the effects of climate change, which will also pump money back into the economy

Would love to get your thoughts on what we can do to help the wonderful people of Kiribati. I encourage you all to get creative and share your best solutions below. I will be reading and responding to as many comments as I can, and I encourage you to do the same. This is important.

MAP OF AMERICAN SAMOA

salutations my friends. this is a map of American Samoa. American Samoa, located within the geographical region of Oceania, is one of only two possessions of the United States in the Southern Hemisphere, the other being Jarvis Island. Its total land area is 76.1 square miles—slightly larger than Washington, D.C.—consisting of five rugged, volcanic islands and two coral atolls.

Cockscomb Point on Pola Island is seen jutting into the ocean.
The five volcanic islands are Tutuila, Aunuʻu, Ofu, Olosega, and Taʻū. The coral atolls are Swains and Rose Atoll. Of the seven islands, Rose Atoll is the only uninhabited one; it is a Marine National Monument. American Samoa is the southernmost reach of the United States at fourteen degrees below the equator.

A view of American Samoa's Ofu Beach on Ofu Island in the Manuʻa Islands is nice too. excuse me. please comment about american samoa. continuing.
Due to its positioning in the South Pacific Ocean, it is frequently hit by tropical cyclones between November and April. Rose Atoll is the easternmost point of the territory. American Samoa's Rose Atoll is the southernmost point of the United States. American Samoa is home to the National Park of American Samoa.

The highest mountains are: Lata Mountain , 3,170 ft ; Matafao Peak, 2,141 ft; Piumafua, 2,095 ft; and Tumutumu , 1,621 ft . Mount Pioa, nicknamed the Rainmaker, is 1,718 ft.  American Samoa is also home to some of the world's highest sea cliffs at 3,000 ft.
The Vailuluʻu seamount, an active submerged volcano, lies 28 miles east of Taʻū in American Samoa. It was discovered in 1975 and has since been studied by an international team of scientists, contributing towards understanding of the Earth's fundamental processes. Growing inside the summit crater of Vailuluʻu is an active underwater volcanic cone, named after Samoa's goddess of war, Nafanua.

American Samoa lies within two terrestrial ecoregions: Samoan tropical moist forests and Western Polynesian tropical moist forests. thats all for now. thanks for listening. please subscribe for the best maps and for the love of American Samoa. goodbye. #mapschool #maps #mapas #mapsolo #americansamoa #tutuila

Beware of THIS in New Zealand!

Did you expect this in New Zealand? When you come to New Zealand, you'll be shocked to see gangs. Gangs in New Zealand are so unafraid of the Police that they ride obnoxiously loud motorcycles so you can hear them a mile away.

They even wear a uniform which includes a gang patch, so you know which gang they're from.

This is how open and obvious organised crime is in New Zealand. And for visitors like my wife, it's shocking.

If you stay away from them, they won't bug ya. But the reality is gangs are known for the drug trade, murder, theft, violence against women, and the list goes on.

There are numerous gangs in New Zealand, of varying criminality, organisation and ethnicity, including outlaw motorcycle gangs, street gangs and ethnically based gangs. A chapter of the Hells Angels motorcycle club was formed in Auckland in 1961, the first Hells Angels chapter outside the US.

Soon after, the Mongrel Mob formed in Hastings and Wellington, developing into a predominantly Māori and Pacific Islander gang and having the largest membership in the country.

Through the 1960s and 1970s, other outlaw motorcycle clubs and ethnically based gangs formed, including another predominantly Māori gang, Black Power (not related to the African-American movement), which grew to rival the Mongrel Mob. from Wikipedia.

While I constantly try to find the positives in every place I visit, there are a few nations that I just simply didn't enjoy.

The country of BRUNEI is one of them.

I went to Brunei back in 2014, three years before I made videos, but my negative experiences in the country have stuck in my mind ever since. That, combined with its absurd human rights laws such as stoning to death LGBT members, I felt like this video needed to be shared with the world.

Have you ever visited any countries that you didn't enjoy? Please share below, I'm curious to know.

The Country No One Knew Existed

There's a secret country inside the US.
No one knows about it. It has its own flag, currency, and even its own President.
And today, we're gonna take you all the way to the Country of Molossia

MAP OF SAMOA

greetings my friends. this is a map of Samoa. Samoa lies south of the equator, about halfway between Hawaii and New Zealand, in the Polynesian region of the Pacific Ocean. The total land area is 2,842 km2 , consisting of the two large islands of Upolu and Savai'i , (which together account for 99% of the total land area) , and eight small islets.

The islets are:

the three islets in the Apolima Strait , (Manono Island, Apolima and Nu'ulopa).
the four Aleipata Islands off the eastern end of Upolu (Nu'utele, Nu'ulua, Namua, and Fanuatapu).
Nu'usafe'e, which is less than 1 ha in area and lies about 1.4 km off the south coast of Upolu at the village of Vaovai.
The main island of Upolu is home to nearly three-quarters of Samoa's population, and to the capital city, Apia.

The Samoan islands result geologically from volcanism, originating with the Samoa hotspot, which probably results from a mantle plume. While all of the islands have volcanic origins, only Savai'i, the westernmost island in Samoa, remains volcanically active, with the most recent eruptions at Mt Matavanu , Mata o le Afi and Mauga Afi. The highest point in Samoa is Mt Silisili, at 1,858 m. The Saleaula lava fields situated on the central north coast of Savai'i result from the Mt Matavanu eruptions, which left 50 km2 of solidified lava.

Savai'i is the largest of the Samoan islands and the sixth-largest Polynesian island . thats all. please comment and subscribe for the best maps. goodbye.

#samoa #samoan #mapamap #mapschool #cartemap #kartemap #mapsolo #petamap #mapmind
