The Great American Road Trip is an RV road trip across America, all the way from Miami to Chicago, and back.
We visit Rock City, in the outskirts of Chattanooga, Nashville, Mammoth Cave National Park, part of the Bourbon Trail, Louisville, Indianapolis, the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart, the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, Chicago, St. Louis, Memphis, and the white sand beaches of the Emerald Coast on Florida's Panhandle.
We'll show you where to spend the night for free, cheap boondocking in Chicago, and the most expensive ocean front campground we've ever been to. Living full time in an RV, our travel trailer, a motorhome or campervan is our dream.

After the chaos we found last week in Acadia National Park, we decided to head away from the coast and explore the backwoods of Maine in our van. A vast wilderness that we could spend months getting lost in (probably literally) and home to the Grand Canyon of Maine - Gulf Hagas. As much as we would love to stay longer, we have to keep moving south. We find ourselves on a beautiful Schooner called Olad, experiencing Maine in a way like no other, before stumbling across a museum full of Bigfoot footprints, replica mermaid skeletons and a million other cryptids that have us thinking we've walked into a real life X-files case ????

California Road Trip - The Pacific Coast Highway
We drive on the Pacific Coast Highway from Los Angeles to San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and beyond. This was an epic historic trip from back in 2012, before we had become RVers. One of our favorite parts were Solvang, Big Sur, and Bixby Creek Bridge.

Great American Road Trip 5 km in a minute Miami to Chicago and back RV tripboondocking and exploring
The Great American Road Trip is an RV road trip across America at 5-6 miles per minute, from Miami to Chicago, and back.
We are located in Rock City on the outskirts of Chattanooga, Nashville, Mammoth Cave National Park, part of the Bourbon Trail, Louisville, Indianapolis, the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, Chicago, St. Louis, Memphis, and Florida. The white sand beaches of the Emerald Coast on the K Panhandle.
We'll show you where to spend the night in Chicago for free, cheap boondocking, and the most expensive oceanfront campgrounds we've ever been to. Living full time in an RV, our travel trailer, motorhome or campervan is our dream.

Series Premiere Tuesday, July 7th 8/7c It's time to pack up the RV, load up the kids and head cross-country in the ultimate road trip across America. In the newest addition to NBC's summer schedule, seven families of four from a variety of backgrounds have been selected to take the journey of a lifetime. Over eight episodes, the families travel classic Route 66 through cities large and small, all while competing in a medley of humorous games that will ultimately lead one family to victory. These comical, clever and always surprising challenges are set against iconic American backdrops from the majestic Grand Canyon to the mighty Mississippi. Along the way, our viewers also discover quirky American landmarks ranging from the World's Largest Rocking Chair to the Muffler Men to Cadillac Ranch. Although family fun is the centerpiece of the show, the competition is real as one family is eliminated each week based on their performance in the end of the road elimination game.
