Flying the Largest Airbus Twin - A350-1000 Qatar Airways
This is a video containing some great details about flying on the Airbus A350-1000, with footage from the cockpit. I flew on Qatar Airways A350-1000 from Los Angeles to Doha. The flight time was nearly 15 hours, with a maximum take-off weight of 316,000 kgs. The pilots explained in detail about the A350 cockpit, pre-flight, take-off, landing and what they do during the flight. Watch the exciting 360 camera angles during take-off and landing.
The A350-1000 is the largest twin-engine aircraft that Airbus has made to date and it is a rival to the Boeing 777X. The list price of A350-1000 is $366 million.
I flew in the luxury Qatar Airways Q Suite. A few passengers with different backgrounds on the same flight shared their stories. One Qatar Airways cabin crew was surprised by the other crew, who celebrated her birthday onboard. I encountered nothing less than a great sense of humanity during my travel.

I recently flew with Qatar Airways from Dubai via Doha to Los Angeles. It was my first-time flying Qatar Airways in a long time. They just re-started their service to Dubai in January.
My first flight was onboard a Qatar Airways B787 Dreamliner, a short 50-minute hop from Dubai to Doha. We departed with foggy weather in Dubai and the Qatar Airways crew still managed to serve a meal on this short flight.
During my transit in Doha Hamad International Airport, I visited the Al Mourjan Business Class Lounge. I was given a tour and got to see what’s changed inside the lounge. I celebrated Chinese New Year in the Qatar Airways Lounge.
My next flight was onboard a Qatar Airways A350-1000 to Los Angeles. Flight time was over 15 hours flying over the North Pole (87 degrees in latitude). The flight is equipped with the award winning QSuite in Business Class. The entire flight was very light with less than 100 passengers onboard. I discovered the changes in both the QSuite Business Class and Economy Class products onboard. We flew past some great scenery en-route and it was amazing to look out of the window to appreciate nature from 40,000 ft.

TRIP REPORT | Surviving 15h in Economy Class! | Qatar Airways A350-1000 | San Francisco to Doha
Qatar Airways Trip Report flying from San Francisco to Doha, one of the longest flights in the world, onboard one of the amazing Qatar Airways A350s, on a beautiful night and day all over the Atlantic, Europe, and Asia.
A comfortable flight from San Francisco to Doha onboard the Qatar Airways Airbus A350-1000. A crazy 14.000km flight that was much easier than I expected.
We started our trip at the International Terminal of San Francisco Airport. It was a quite nice afternoon, but by the moment we boarded the A350 the downpour was epic. Seeing from the plane all the ground staff working hard under those conditions was incredible.
We took off from San Francisco heading towards the Pacific Ocean. We quickly made a 90° right turn to fly in parallel to the USA's west coast. Although it was a cloudy day we managed to see the Golden Gate while climbing out from San Francisco. We continued northbound towards Canada, flying over the States of Oregon and Washington, before entering Canada. This was the first time I flew over the Canadian Rocky Mountains and I must say they are as spectacular as the US ones, maybe even more.
We then crossed all Canada from southwest to northeast, flying towards the frozen lands of northern Canada. I'd never seen that part of Canada without clouds. It was really amazing, everything was frozen, covered with ice and snow. From there we crossed the Baffin Bay towards Greenland. Once again, some of the best landscapes on Earth are here. And we found them!! The best part is that all these views came during the sweet light of the Midnight Sun.
We crossed Greenland and entered the Atlantic again, heading to Europe. The first we saw was Bergen, in Norway. We crossed the country towards the Northern Sea and flew over Denmark. We flew then over the Baltic Sea and entered Poland, close to Szczecin. From there we flew towards Slovakia. We had some amazing views of the Tatry Mountains before flying over the city of Košice.
We continued towards Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, the Black Sea, and reached Turkiye. We crossed it towards Iraq. A right turn put us on course to Kuwait and the Persian Gulf. After more than 15h and a beautiful approach, we landed in Doha Hamad International around 25 minutes late.
About the catering service, there were 3 services in this 15h flight: 2 mains and a warm snack. For dinner, I took the chicken option, with an orzo pasta salad and a delicious mango and coco mousse. Everything was delicious.
Around 7h into the flight, the crew served a warm Mushroom & Potato Masala Pastry with drinks. Once again, delicious. Qatar's Quisine is just amazing.
On the second main one, I took the Fritata option. It came with fresh fruit, bread and yogurt. Once again, everything was perfect.

Qatar Airways Business Class has been described to me as being so good, you don’t need First Class. In fact, it’s been one of the most requested videos by subscribers to this channel.

15 hours in Economy! | San Francisco - Doha | Qatar Airways Economy Class | A350-1000 | Trip Report
Welcome everyone on board one of the longest flights in the Qatar Airways network from San Francisco to Doha and onwards to Dubai on their flagship Airbus A350-1000.

First of all; I paid only $350 for this and earned a whole bucket of miles with this flight!
I’ve got no idea how they do it, but there is no way they earned a dime with me on this day.
After having flown this ultra long haul on the best seat of the Emirates A380 Economy Class I flew on the very same seat of their Gulf cousin. It is now up to you to decide who do you like best!
While the Emirates flight was 100% full here I had the advantage of the flight being empty. And I staid firm on this seat to be able to show you instead of taking an entire row to sleep!
The flight itself was ok, I enjoyed the A350 product and all the things QR offers.It is still amongst the best airlines in the world, specially for a flight of this length.
The flight attendants themselves were nice but not top level as they used to. It was kindly brought to my attention that they only get a bare minimum 24 hours of rest in SFO with close to 36 hours of duty of which 32 hours in the air. This is while they cross multiple time zones.
I hope this is looked after and they get more rest for their health and better service, just like any other top tier airline grants.

I flew on Etihad Airways new A350-1000 inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi to Paris on 31 March 2022. The Etihad A350-1000 has 44 Business Class suites and 327 economy class seats. A total of 5 A350-1000 will be entering service with Etihad this year.
There are the usual celebrations at the gate before takeoff, aviation enthusiasts and media were busy taking photos and videos of the new plane. The pilot gave the flight briefing and showed the latest touch screen technology on the A350-1000 cockpit display. Enjoy the views from the cockpit during takeoff.
After takeoff, I explored the Economy Class cabin. The first 5 rows in Economy have extra space as Economy Space. There are tablet holders and a bluetooth enabled headset connection. I checked out all the seat functions in the new Etihad Business Class suite. It has a sliding door to enhance privacy.
During the flight, I interviewed Etihad Aviation Group CEO Tony Douglas about the A350 operation and the future of the Etihad A380. The new Etihad A350-1000 will be deployed to Mumbai, Delhi, Jeddah, Cairo and Istanbul before entering long haul service to New York and Chicago in July.
I give my verdict and recommendation on the Etihad A350 at the end of the video.
