Avoid this tourist SCAM in Colombo, Sri Lanka. ????????
When travelling in Sri Lanka as a foreigner you'll no doubt be approached by men who try to appear as friendly citizens. They will attempt to coax you to somewhere, such as a beautiful temple that you must go and see. Watch as this man follows me through the streets, desperately trying to convince me to go see the (fake) Tsunami Temple, despite me showing zero interest in it.
These scammers and their cheap tricks are not representative of the genuine good people of Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, as foreigner, they will be seeking you out so it would be easy to think that every local is bad when in fact it's a very small number of bad people.

No visit to Sri Lanka is complete without a visit to its former capital city, which is Kandy! Nestled at the start of the central highlands, this charming city is teeming with historical and cultural attractions, the most famous of which is the Sacred Temple of the Tooth. Avoid This Man in Kalutara, Sri Lanka ????????
Upon my arrival in Kalutara, while parking my tuktuk, a guy invited me into his restaurant. After having a small pastry and a tea he asked me for 1000 Rupees which is about 10 times the price it should be. Obviously I didn't appreciate this behavior so I asked some other people about the real price.
After that I continued exploring Kalutara center and I met some funny characters. Also a lady that was selling some sweets. I ordered some and it was delicious!
After that I made my way to Richmond Castle which is located in a beautiful tranquil area just outside Kalutara. I toured the place and chilled out a bit in the gardens.
On my way back to Kalutara I picked up a lady with my Tuktuk, we had some awkward interactions until I dropped her off in the center. Am I now a certified tuktuk driver?

Today we set out on an epic street food tour in Kandy to taste the best street food in Sri Lanka. Kandy is home to some popular Sri Lankan foods, and we kicked off our Sri Lankan food tour tasting some delicious traditional Sri Lankan curry. The Sri Lankan curry at Mandiya is cooked fresh each morning. With so much Sri Lankan curry to choose from, you’re bound to find a Sri Lankan curry that you love. Being the national dish of Sri Lanka, Sri Lankan curry is definitely a top Sri Lankan food in the country.
We continued our search of the top Sri Lankan foods and explored the local areas of Kandy, tasting local short eats, going through the Kandy Central Market, and tasting the rich and flavourful Ceylon tea.
Kandy is home to some of the top Sri Lankan foods, making it a must stop for the best foods to eat in Sri Lanka.
We finished off our street food tour in Kandy, Sri Lanka tasting the unique achcharu and an insane cheese kottu roti. Kottu roti is a popular Sri Lankan street food and something you must try, we couldn’t believe how cheesy this kottu roti was!

FALUDA Hunt in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka ????????
I was in Trincomalee on a public holiday when everything was closed. I had no plans, just a piece of junk bike and a thirst for adventure.
I had planned to visit the Navy Museum and learn about the Sri Lankan Navy but that was closed.
After cycling around with nothing to do I remembered the delicious taste of the Faluda ice lolly I got from the Elephant House Ice Cream tuk-tuk / van earlier. So my afternoon ended up turning into a hunt for a good Faluda.
Faluda is a famous Sri Lankan drink made from a rose syrup, vermicelli, basil seeds and milk with a scoop of ice cream floating on top.
