???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:

BANGKOK, THAILAND - Aromkwan (อารมณ์ควัน) is an “Asian Smokery” where Chef Bank serves family Malaysian food recipes with his own touch BBQ smoking touches. You’re in for an extreme meal of smoked goat leg curry, pork knuckle curry, and a huge mountain of biryani. Get ready for a meal experience you’ll never forget. #MalaysianFood #Bangkok

I was more than excited to try this once in a lifetime meal in Bangkok!

Chef Bank is half Malaysian and half Thai, and his Father is Malaysian Indian, and his Mother is Thai Chinese - four of the best food groups in the world? I think so!

Aromkwan (อารมณ์ควัน) is where Chef Bank and team serve a combination of family recipes and curries, but then Chef Bank goes a step further to smoke the curries for 10 or 12 hours and build layer upon layer of flavor into each dish. One of the most impressive parts of eating at Aromkwan (อารมณ์ควัน) is how your meal is served on a banana leaf communal style. He piles on the dishes and we had a base of biryani, quail sambal, smoked portobello mushrooms, charred bok choy, smoked goat leg curry, smoked pork knuckle curry, ikan bakar, and smoked chicken wings.

The entire meal was out of this world. Both the smoked goat leg curry and smoked pork knuckle were were out of control delicious, melt in your mouth and not only flavored from the curry and spices, but from the smoke.

A world class meal, highly recommended when you’re in Bangkok for extreme Malaysian food that’s unlike anything else in the world.

In addition to the amazing food, all the food is cooked with so much love, passion and dedication which you’ll taste with every bite.

Unseen SAUDI ARABIA Village Food!! Whole Goat RICE PLATTER in Jazan (Yemen Border)!!

???????? Saudi Arabian Food Tour:
????️ Get Smoked Ghost Pepper:
???? Subscribe:

JAZAN, SAUDI ARABIA: High in the mountains of Saudi Arabia, in the very southwestern corner, on the border of Yemen, is Jazan province. It’s a unique part of Saudi Arabia, where some of the world’s most prized coffee in grown and where the mix of culture and food is unlike other parts of the country. Today we have the privilege to visit a local coffee farm where a local family will be cooking a full goat haneed in the backyard.

We began our journey from Jizan city, in the Jazan province of Saudi Arabia. The city is located on the Red Sea, yet just an hour drive away to Fayfa, and you’re transported high into the rugged green mountains that are famous for generations of coffee farming.

Coffee is more than just a drink here, it’s a symbol of hospitality and a gesture of welcome. The coffee is much different than your typical Americano - it’s roasted very lightly, and brewed with cardamom and saffron for a unique fragrance. Rather than using sugar, coffee is served black, but with dates so you can alternate between sips of coffee and sweet dates. The combination is perfect.

After a welcome and coffee, we lit the outdoor wood fire oven, and then took a tour of the farm to learn about the prized Khawlani coffee beans. The farming practice has been passed down for generations in this area. Along with coffee, there were many medical edible herbs throughout the mountain.

Back to the oven, we loaded up an entire goat, along with big handfuls of sour dough, scented with the aroma green leaves. The oven was closed tight for a couple of hours to seal in all the steam and smoke. This cooking technique is common in Saudi Arabia and really does a great job of smoking, baking, and steaming all at the same time.

The time finally came, and we dished out all the tender goat on the rice trays. There were also a number of side dishes, including fresh buttermilk served in a smoky wooden bowl, a variety of doughs served with ghee, and possibly the highlight for me; helba, a sudsy fenugreek sauce that’s definitely a unique flavor, and loved in this region.

It was a meal I’ll never forget, in this friendly coffee village in the mountains of Jazan!

World’s CRISPIEST Lamb!! King of MEAT & HONEY in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia!

JEDDAH, SAUDI ARABIA - Welcome to Jeddah and today we’re going on a food tour, where the main event is going to be a whole lamb roasted for 5 hours over fire, basted with its own oil, and then eaten with honey. An absolutely incredible lamb experience in Saudi Arabia!

Thank you to Hisham: for taking me around eating in Jeddah!

To begin the day, there’s nothing better to eat than ful, mashed fava beans, but at this breakfast restaurant in Jeddah they specialize in smoked ful, when some ghee is burned on an onion to give the ful a lovely smokiness.

We then headed to a nice restaurant to try traditional Jeddah style breakfast, a meal that would typically be eaten on special occasions. The variety and color were beautiful!

Hareed Restaurant: - Finally on to lunch and the full lamb meal experience. Chef cooked the lamb for 4 - 5 hours over a wood fire, continually rotating it and basting it in lamb oil. It’s the most golden crispy lamb I’ve ever had and eaten dipped into honey. We also tried quite a few other lamb dishes, all the lamb coming from their own farm!

Later in the evening we tried a nostalgic fries stall with all sorts of different sauce that you put on, and my personal favorite - chickpeas!

It was a great day of food and exploring in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia!

The Unseen LAWA PEOPLE FOOD!! | 20 Kilo Meat Salad w/ COOLEST AUNTY in the Mountains!

???? 5 Star Hotel Chef Cooks Street Food:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:

MAE HONG SON, THAILAND (แม่ฮ่องสอน) - Welcome to Mae Hong Son (แม่ฮ่องสอน), located in the very northwestern corner of Thailand. Today, we are visiting a Hill Tribe Village of the Lawa People (ลัวะ). While many people groups in Northern Thailand trace their ancestry to South China (Yunnan) and Myanmar, the Lawa People (ลัวะ) are an indigenous to Thailand. They are cooking a unique dish, which is called to-sabuak, basically a boiled meat salad full of local herbs. So let’s learn about the amazing Lawa People of Thailand! #Thailand #MaeHongSon #ThaiFood

Ban La Oop Village (บ้านละอูบ) is located near Mae Sariang in Mae Hong Son Province of Thailand. The village itself is spectacularly beautiful, on the peaks of mountains where they grow beans, starches, and now coffee. When we arrived they were ready to get started for our main dish. To make it, they simply boiled pork in water until it was fully cooked. I think one of the main key steps though was the roasted chilies which were charred before being pounded. When the pork was ready, they sliced it all up, and mixed it with chilies, lemongrass, coriander, and salt. The result was basically a pork boiled salad, full of vibrant local herbs.

It dawned on me, this could really be an original food of Thailand, an ancient method of cooking and simple technique of combining meat with herbs for seasoning.

It was delicious, simple, and satisfying.

It was also really cool to hang out with the Lawa People (ลัวะ) and especially to hang out with Aunty!

???? Ban La Oop Village (บ้านละอูบ): - Ban La Oop Village (บ้านละอูบ) offers community tourism programs, including home-stays, learning about the local silver, local food, coffee, and other activities throughout the village. You can contact the community via their FB page to arrange: Highly recommended, it’s a spectacular place.

American Food BBQ!! ???? DRY RUB RIBS + America’s Best Pulled Pork!! | JL Smokehouse!!

???? Street Food in Phuket:
???? JL Smokehouse BBQ:

JL SMOKEHOUSE BBQ - Welcome to Phoenix, Arizona, USA, and today we’re going to JL Smokehouse BBQ ( where James Lewis serves amazing BBQ! He is so passionate and knowledgeable about barbecue and I can’t wait for you to meet him in this video. Let’s go eat! #BBQ #Phoenix #Arizona

As soon as you enter JL Smokehouse you know it’s laid back and unique. JL as he calls himself, is the pitmaster, and knows his bbq. Although he offers brisket, chicken, sausages and an assortment of meats, his southern style bbq pork ribs and pulled pork are the true highlights and something you don’t want to miss. “I have the best pulled pork in the country,” says Lewis, and when you see how the entire pork shoulder melts on the smoker, you know it’s special. Before serving it, they chop it up coarsely and then squeeze on a generous amount of their legendary bbq sauce.

I ordered the slugger combo plate, which included six different bbq meats and a few sides, plus I got an entire rack of pork ribs. JL showed me how he seasons the ribs with his own recipe dry rub, then smokes the ribs bone side down - never ever flipping them over. The pulled pork was indeed the best I’ve had, so smoky, so ultra tender and bursting with flavor when combined with the tangy bbq sauce. JL mentioned that he didn’t like to classify his bbq into any US regions, but did mention that it’s influenced and similar to Memphis style bbq.

“Put Some South in Your Mouth!!” - JL Smokehouse!!

It was an amazing experience to hang out with JL for a few hours and learn about his process of BBQ and to eat an amazing BBQ meal. When you’re in Phoenix, Arizona, if you love food and BBQ, you’re not going to want to miss it.

First Time in Bangladesh!! ???????? VOLCANO MUSTARD FISH FRY + Street Food in Dhaka!!

???????? Day 1 Bangladeshi Food! With @PetukCouple
???? Best Indian Food in Bangkok:
???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!

DHAKA, BANGLADESH - Welcome to Dhaka, one of the most exciting and busy cities in the world! Today is Day 1 in Bangladesh, hanging out with Rasif and Ipsha ( @PetukCouple ). We’re first eating a huge Bangla home cooked meal at home before trying some local neighborhood street food. And ending today with a massive hilsa (ilish) fish fry in mustard oil - one of the national foods of Bangladesh!

Literally right off the airplane we headed over to Rasif and Ipsha’s home where they cooked a huge meal of over 18 different Bengali foods. Everything from beef curry to eggplant with egg, moringha drumsticks, fish curry and duck curry. The abundance and variety was outstanding and it was my first ever Bengali meal in Bangladesh!

Next up on this Bangladeshi food tour we walked out on the streets in their Dhaka neighborhood to eat some local street food snacks. We started with an amazing liver jhalmuri (30 BDT ($.035). Jhal means spicy and muri means puffed rice, and this is one of the most popular and common Bengali street food snacks. Especially with the liver, green chilies, and mustard oil, it was fantastic.

Continuing on the street food tour we ate some deep fried fast food like chicken rolls and Bangladeshi chicken nuggets. Then on to a stall that served amazing bhel puri and chotpoti - an incredible mix of chickpeas and spices, green chilies, onions, coriander, and tamarind sauce. The street was so tasty and without a doubt the bhel puri (20 BDT ($0.23 each) was my favorite snack of the night.

Finally to complete this Day 1 Bangladesh food tour we drove outside of Dhaka about an hour to Mawa Ghat, a famous location along the Padma River to take a ferry, and to eat the national fish of Bangladesh - hilsa (ilish). You choose your fish, we chose three, plus some extra fresh water prawns. The fish is cleaned and sliced in front of you, then marinated in turmeric and chili before being shallow fried in fragrant mustard oil. Additionally with the fried fish tails they smash them with onions and chilies and mustard oil to make Bhorta / Vorta - which is a common Bangla food preparation of ingredients that are smashed together to bring out their flavors. We had two types of fish vortas, an onion vorta, and a tomato vorta. It was an outstanding meal with incredible friends in Bangladesh!

Indian Salmon DEEP FRIED!! ???? Super CRISPY UMAMI Food Village!

???? Malay Food - Spicy Duck Soup:
???? Subscribe for NEW VIDEOS:

PATTANI, THAILAND - Welcome to Pattani province, in the deep South of Thailand! Today, along with my friend Muhammad from Papa Tagu ( visited two communities - one for a famous durian in the mountains. And two to the sea to a community that specializes in fourfinger threadfin fish, which is also called an Indian salmon (ปลากุเลา)!

Durian Monthong Sai Khao (ทุเรียนหมอนทองทรายขาว) - First we headed to a village called Sai Khao, which is a beautiful place on the side of the mountain. They are known for their fruit and especially for durian. They grow a type of “monthong durian” which is found around Thailand, but their version is slightly different and known to be the best quality in Thailand. It was exceptionally creamy and perfectly sweet, rich, and thick. Definitely the best monthong I’ve probably ever had. Still, I do prefer the small “durian baan” which usually have a stronger, smellier, and bitter taste. But it was a great experience and great to see the durian at the source.

Fourfinger Threadfin (Indian Salmon ปลากุเลา) - Next, we took a short drive to a coastal community where they fish for Fourfinger Threadfin (also known as Indian Salmon ปลากุเลา), and they preserve the fish in this village and then sell it. You’ll find this fish all over Thailand, and most of it comes from the coast of Pattani and Narathiwat. They set up a makeshift kitchen and deep fried pieces of the fish and finished it off with a huge amount of lime juice, chilies, and shallots. It was one of the greatest bursts of umami ever - so much flavor and age in that fish. If you close your eyes you might have thought it was a very mature aged cheese.

Another amazing day in Pattani, delicious food, and incredible people!

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

Extreme GHANA CHOP BAR Food!! Giant African Snail & Goat Meat | Kumasi, Ghana

???????? JOLINAIKO ECO TOURS:

After exploring the largest market in all of West Africa earlier in the day, I continued my exploration of the city of Kumasi, Ghana! Come with me as I try some extreme Ghana chop bar food, including a giant African snail and some goat, in Kumasi, Ghana!

My day continued on a sweltering, 97-degree afternoon at Ceci Chop Bar. Chop Bars are local eateries. In the local language, “chop” means “to eat.”

???? WATCH: Ghana’s Most Famous Fish Market –
???? DAVID’S BEEN HERE MERCH:

Peter, my guide from Jolinaiko Eco Tours, told me we could have a lot of local foods like fufu, kenkey, dried cassava, banku, chicken, bushmeat, tilapia, and lots of other soups.

Inside the large, open space are lots of plastic plates and colorful chairs. At the back is a bar where you can try some bitters. The one I tried was good but very herbal and medicinal.

I headed back into the kitchen, where I saw them serving okra stew, fish stew, salmon, tilapia, giant African snails, grasscutter, and more. They have a huge mix of different foods. I couldn’t wait to try the snails. They’re so exotic!

I got some fufu (pounded cassava dough and plantains), and you can add whatever you want with it. I got some goat meat and snails! I washed my hands with the pitcher of water and soap at the table because I’d be eating with my hands.

The goat meat was very tender and paired nicely with the pasty fufu. The snail, meanwhile, was monstrous! I’d never seen one that big! I loved it. It was so tender and meaty. I liked the gaminess of it.

It all came swimming in a pool of peanut vegetable soup, which had a nice, nutty and earthy flavor. There’s also a nice bit of spice to it. It was packed with different flavors and textures!

I couldn’t get over how much fufu they gave me! It’s incredibly filling, similar to rice or pasta.

After you finish eating all the meat, you drink the rest of the soup right out of the bowl. Then, we headed over to the outdoor kitchen nearby to watch the women prepare some banku and beef-peanut butter soup. I also saw the cassava roots, which they use to make banku.

Then, we continued out into Kumasi. It’s the cultural capital of the country and the heart of the Ashanti region. As we rode, I learned that here, a lot of the women are the primary breadwinners of their households.

Back in the city, we made it back to the central market to get some street food! We found some unique sheep kebabs, which they wrap in paper and smoke. They cost $2 USD each. They were so juicy and tender, a little gamy, and covered in pepper and some spices.

Next, we continued on through the city. The main attraction here is the market; the main sites are the craft villages outside of town. We stopped at Wasaaga Pub, a bar where you can try bitters and lots of different beers.

I got a Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, which is a chocolatey and malty beer brewed in Ghana. There, I ate my sheep kebabs outside. Inside, you can watch TV.

The sheep was salty and peppery, with a nice amount of oil on it. I loved the fatty, gelatinous layer on it. The meat was so tasty!

Street Food Mountain - CHILI OIL YELLOW NOODLES + Tea Leaf Salad! ⛰️ Ban Rak Thai (บ้านรักไทย)

???? Pro Chef Grandma - Street Food:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:

Ban Rak Thai (บ้านรักไทย), Thailand - Welcome to Ban Rak Thai, a gorgeous village high in the mountains of Mae Hong Son (แม่ฮ่องสอน) province in Northern Thailand. The village has a lot of history where KMT fighters fled Yunnan, China and settled in this village. They brought with them their culture, Yunnanese tea, and Chinese food. Today, they village feels almost exactly like you’re in China, and in a spectacular location, it’s a popular place to visit. Today we’re going to explore Ban Rak Thai (บ้านรักไทย) and especially go on the ultimate Chinese food tour!

Kuay Teow Yunnan Pa Nuai (ร้านก๋วยเตี๋ยวยูนานป้านวย - First thing to eat for breakfast is a bowl of Yunnanese yellow noodles. Aunty mixes them with sauces, chili oil, and garlic, gives them a hand toss. They are really tasted, highly recommended when you’re in Ban Rak Thai. Total price - 110 THB ($3.68)

LiXian Restaurant ( - Next we headed to the small and friendly LiXian Restaurant where the owner makes a number of local Thai and Chinese dishes. One of the foods you have to eat when you’re in Ban Rak Thai (บ้านรักไทย) is fresh tea leaf salad. She chops up the tea leaves, mixes it with chicken and seasoning and stirs it up. The result is a flavorful, green tasting, herbal salad that has so many flavors going on. As I mentioned in the video, it was a little too sweet, so next time I’d ask for no sugar, but it was extremely delicious. Total price - 220 THB ($7.36)

Jee Lee Hot Pot (ร้านจี๋หลี้ - This ancient looking family run hot pot restaurant is one of the best of the best restaurants in Ban Rak Thai (บ้านรักไทย). I would not go to Ban Rak Thai (บ้านรักไทย) without eating here, it’s a legendary culinary staple. They have a huge menu of all sorts of Yunnanese Chinese food, but one of their signature dishes is a hot pot that includes meat rolls, chicken, pork bones, taro, Yunnanese ham - basically any protein you name it, it’s in there. It was delicious, warming, and rich. Total price - 840 THB ($28.10)

Dew Drop meat - 200 THB ($6.69) - Finally to end this Chinese street food tour in Ban Rak Thai (บ้านรักไทย), I wasn’t going to leave without trying dew drop pork. The strips of pork literally hang and collect the morning dew for 30 days to age and preserve the meat. The result is a bacon / ham / dry aged taste that is spectacularly delicious. This small shop was right in the center square of Ban Rak Thai, and it’s more of a shop than a restaurant, but they will serve you if you show up and buy some dew drop!

We had a fantastic time in Ban Rak Thai (บ้านรักไทย). Again, it’s a beautiful place, and it really feels like you’ve left Thailand.

We had the privilege to spend a few days Muang Pon, a Shan village, where I learned so much about their culture, and especially the unique Shan food.

This was actually my first full Shan meal, and I was blown away by the incredible flavors, spices, and ingredients used in their cooking. Shan / Thai Yai (ไทใหญ่) is very different from Thai food. Shan food is influenced by Burmese food, Southern Chinese food, and still its own cuisine. The Shan use something called “tua nao” or fermented soy beans in almost every dish. It’s one of their main signature ingredients for flavoring boosting umami. For this incredible Shan food meal, we had a number of local dishes. One of the main dishes was a local Shan chicken curry, which was fantastic. Another dish they cooked was “lung” of Shan meatballs - which I think could be the best meatballs in the world. For these meatballs, they made them with frog and tons of spices and chilies. Although they didn’t fully stick together, the taste was outstanding, the best meatballs I’ve ever had.

It was an amazing Shan food meal and an amazing experience to hang out in Muang Pon village.

???? Thank you to the Homestay in Muang Pon village ( You can contact them to stay there and cook meals for you here: Highly recommended, an amazing place to learn about the culture of the Shan people, stay in a 100 year old traditional Shan house, and eat delicious Shan food!

Eating the KOBE BEEF of Thailand - Is It That Good?? ???? Street Food Steakhouse!

???? WATCH NEXT - Isaan Street Food Tour:

SAKHON NAKHON (สกลนคร), THAILAND - Welcome to Sakhon Nakhon, a province in Isaan - northeastern Thailand that’s home to wide open space, rocky mountains, rice agriculture, and some of the best quality and tasting beef in all of Thailand! #ThaiFood #streetfood #bbq

Sakhon Nakhon is famous for its Ko Khun Pon Yang Kham Beef (โคขุนโพนยางคํา), sometimes called the Kobe Beef of Thailand, it’s one of the best quality and flavor profile beef in Thailand and so I was very excited to finally be at the source.

Mong Yod Neua Yang Restaurant (ร้านโม้งยอดเนื้อย่าง - I chose to eat at Mong Yod Neua Yang Restaurant (ร้านโม้งยอดเนื้อย่าง), a restaurant that many recommended to me for Thai beef steakhouse style bbq. You can choose your cut of beef, and at this restaurant you get a hot iron griddle over charcoal to cook the beef yourself. Additionally they serve other Ko Khun Pon Yang Kham Beef (โคขุนโพนยางคํา) dishes - Isaan food - like nam tok and laap, made with this special beef.

The owner of the restaurant, you can tell is very passionate about the beef he serves, and he ensures the quality by hand picking it out himself each day from the fresh beef.

It was one of my first times to eat real Ko Khun Pon Yang Kham Beef (โคขุนโพนยางคํา) and I was impressed by the taste and flavor of this Thai grass fed beef. It’s not as soft or butter as Kobe beef or types of Wagyu, but it has a bit of texture and is very flavorful. I also thoroughly enjoyed the experience eating at Mong Yod Neua Yang Restaurant (ร้านโม้งยอดเนื้อย่าง) - it’s laid back, relaxing, and you can choose the places of beef you like. The sauces were also delicious.

Also, when comparing the beef quality to the price, the value is incredible - might be some of the best quality beef for the price that I’ve had.

Total price - 950 THB ($31.49) for everything

Thank you for watching, and when you’re in Sakhon Nakhon, Thailand, don’t miss eating a local style Thai steakhouse bbq!

Eating INDIAN FOOD for 24 Hours in COCOA BEACH!! Lamb Madras & Fish Vindaloo | Florida

???? HALIM:
???? WATCH: Halim’s Video:

Welcome to another Eating Indian Food for 24 Hours video! This time around, I teamed up with my boy Halim to go all-out with a never-ending Indian food tour of Cocoa Beach and Melbourne, Florida. Come along with us as we eat Indian food for 24 hours in Cocoa Beach, Florida!

One of my favorite things to do when I’m home is to share my love of Indian food with my friends and family. So, when my friend Halim from Village Food Tours invited me up to Cocoa Beach, I knew I had to take him on an epic Indian food adventure!

???????? Taj: Modern Indian Cuisine:
???????? Punjab Cuisine of India:
???????? Flavors of India:

For the road trip, my friends at Chevy loaned me a beautiful 2021 Chevy Tahoe Z71. It has a built-in rear-seat media system and 40% more leg room in the third row. It also boasts built-in WiFi, and you can also wirelessly connect your iPhone or Android to the car and and use its apps on the touchscreen!

Halim and I started our Indian food adventure at Taj: Modern Indian Cuisine in Melbourne, Florida. The inside is very chic and has a beautiful outdoor terrace surrounded by an outdoor mall area with restaurants and gardens.

In the kitchen, they made us some butter chicken enchiladas, naan, paneer tikka, and more! They’re all about creating new takes on Indian favorites!

Our four dishes included samosa chaat topped with tamarind chutney and mint-cilantro chutney; butter chicken enchiladas; tandoor chicken wings; hand-cut masala fries; and more.

The tandoor chicken wings were smoky and baked, while the masala fries were full of flavor. Then, we jumped on some chai, which quite a bit of ginger and cardamom in it. The samosa chaat was nice and crunchy and the mix of the sweet tamarind, creamy yogurt, and mint-cilantro chutney was unreal!

Next were the butter chicken enchiladas, which were topped with tons of cheese. I loved the tomato-based gravy and the mix of vegetables. My favorite dish was the samosa chaat. It was so complex!

We were full, so we took a four-hour break. We headed about 25 minutes east to Cocoa Beach. First, we took some time to explore Cocoa Village, and then we arrived at Punjab Cuisine of India in Cocoa Beach for some Punjabi food!

In the back, they made some chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, naan, samosas, chili paneer, and more. Everything smelled incredible!

We had some pilaf, veg samosas, pickled chutney, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, garlic naan, and mango lassi. The samosas were a little spicy and the pickled chutney was nice as well.

The garlic naan contained some tasty herbs, and I loved eating it with the creamy saag paneer. The chicken tikka masala was really hot, temperature-wise but was great with the naan. I was getting full again!

We ended our evening there and then met back up the next morning for breakfast at Flavors of India.

The interior felt like Kerala and the owner is from the backwaters area! He made us some lamb madras, biryani, Kashmiri naan, and more! He cooked the bread on top of the biryani dish inside the tandoor!

We had fish vindaloo, tandoori drumsticks, Kashmiri naan, butter naan, lamb madras, and dessert! The drumsticks were super smoky and meaty with a ton of spices on them. Then, we jumped on the fish vindaloo, which contained curry leaves and mustard seeds. I could smell the coconut in it!

The Kashmiri naan was sweet and nutty because of the fruits and nuts. The fish was incredible, but we had to look out for bones. I loved how unique the chicken dum biryani was, and the lamb madras gravy had a bit of heat to it! Then, we finished with chai and a smoky chocolate mousse!

Village Food in Thailand - UNIQUE BLACK CHICKEN!! | Best Thai Food in Trang (ตรัง), Thailand

???? Street Food Tour in Trang:
???? Subscribe for NEW VIDEOS:

TRANG, THAILAND - Welcome to Trang, in Southern Thailand and the small and beautiful village of Baan Khao Lak (บ้านเขาหลัก). Along with specializing in kayaking down the river in the jungle, the village community is home to a unique breed of black chicken. The chicken is a combination of an Indonesian black chicken plus a number of Thai chicken breeds, which were co-breeded to create a truly unique and delicious chicken. They have two types of black chicken, one that’s completely black, including the organs and bones and feathers. But the one we tried, and the one they are most known for has white feathers, but the rest of the chicken is completely black - including the bones.

At the village, the lady’s in the community cooked us an unbelievable array of delicious Southern Thai food using this unique black chicken. The main dish was a Thai curry including tons of curry paste, fresh galangal, black chicken, and coconut milk. The next dish they made was a black chicken soup with turmeric.

I was just amazed at the quality of the black chicken, and we actually ate a black rooster. The meat was unbelievably tasty, and the texture is what truly stood out. Lean, chewy but not overly so, flavorful with every bite, and as they say, with unique health and antioxidant properties.

Thank you to the Baan Khao Lak (บ้านเขาหลัก) for hosting us for this unique black chicken meal experience. This is the place:

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!
