Getting Hit By A Donkey in Ethiopia
This is my favorite video of all the videos on this channel. I was in Addis Ababa for about 36 hours. I hired someone to show me the ins and outs of Ethiopia. I went to the museum and met Lucy (oldest skeleton in the world), and then, when we went through the market, our taxi actually took a shot from a passing donkey.
Although there were so many cool (and some less cool) things outside, the most memorable part was the girl at the hotel talking to me for about an hour about the process for making Ethiopian-style coffee. Of course I don't remember everything, but I feel pretty educated because of the 15% I do remember.

Protest for Ethiopia - Pt. 2 (02/08/2016)
On today’s lunchtime bike ride I came across some protesters who, during the course of marching from the State Department Headquarters to the U.S. Capitol Building, had staged a temporary sit-in in the middle of the street at the intersection of Constitution Avenue and 14th Street, effectively gridlocking traffic in downtown D.C. They were protesting ethnic cleansing, the killing of innocent protesters, arbitrary arrests, ongoing torture, and other atrocities currently taking place in Ethiopia, and the funding of it through the U.S. Federal government’s foreign aid to the Ethiopian government. They were trying to draw attention to the issue, and encourage Americans to lobby their elected officials to stop sending this country’s taxpayer’s dollars to Ethiopia. According to informational pamphlets they were handing out, more information about what American foreign aid is being used to fund can be seen in a documentary available at:

On returning from my trip to Ethiopia, I was lucky enough to fly on this 6 day old Airbus A350XWB! ET-ATR was delivered on the 16th August, entering service the day after, and I was lucky enough to fly on it on the 22nd! I found out a week before I left that my flight was changed to the new Airbus aircraft, and I can say, it was an awesome flight. It is an awesome aircraft and I would definitely fly on one again without hesitation!
