Brittany Ferries, Pont Aven - Portsmouth to Santander

Snapchat: pauls_trips
Twitter: @pauls_trips

In this video, I travel on Britanny Ferries' flagship, the MV Pont Aven, between Portsmouth and Santander. Enjoy a complete walkthrough of the whole experience, right in the middle of low season. The ship was less than a quarter full, so there was plenty of room...

This is marketed as a cruise ferry. We ended up in our own 4 berth cabin....this is a 24hr sailing so I definitely recommend getting a cabin!

Enjoy the video. Don't forget to subscribe!

UK to Santander Ferry - A Guide to Surviving 33hrs on a Recliner Chair, NO CABIN. What to expect

#Santander #brittanyferries #ReclinerChair #NoCabin

This is my review and experience of travelling on Brittany Ferries Galicia without a private cabin, on the 33 hour leg from Santander, Spain to Portsmouth, UK their newest editiion, the Galicia.

Get acquainted with the layout ahead of your journey and know what to expect if your thinking about booking a recliner chair and no private cabin.

I learnt a few things on my journey out, and so decided to make a handy video of the things I did differently on my return journey. In this video
- I take you to the Santander ferry port, through Santander
- show you the parking on deck and how things you need to remember when leaving the vehicle for return
- take a tour of the recliner chair lounge
- look at a possible sleeping alternative
- show you the communal toilet and shower area for recliner chair users
- provide an esential kit list, for sleeping and surviving without a private cabin

The ticket cost was £1178 for my Transit MK8 campervan.
This was during height of summer Mid July leaving Portsmouth, Returning Mid August Santander to Portsmouth 2022.

As I was travelling alone I chose the reclining lounge chair, and in this video I give you a full tour of the lounge, what to expect from the seating, the communal sleeping, showers, toilets and alternative sleeping possibilities on board.

Thanks so much for watching!

Portsmouth to Santander: My Epic, 2 Night, 30+ hour Voyage on Brittany Ferries MV Galicia!

This was one of my most memorable trips of 2022. A two night, 30+ hour crossing from Portsmouth, England to Santander, Spain with Brittany Ferries and one of their e-flexer ferries the MV Galicia.

Come with me on this trip where I'll show you the boat and the facilities on offer including the food, entertainment, accommodation, outside space etc and, most importantly, the exclusive c-club lounge which, in my opinion, is a must for anyone considering this voyage. It is certainly well-worth the money as I'll show you in this video.

I'd love to hear from you if you've done this journey. What was your experience like? Did you (like me) travel as a foot passenger? How did you find the facilities on offer?

Thanks as always guys for taking the time to watch my videos. All likes, comments, subs are massively appreciated and it really encourages me to make more content for you all to enjoy.

Cheers for now.

Boarding our ships - Ferry travel to France & Spain | Brittany Ferries

This short film gives an insight into the surprisingly complex process of loading our ships. We aim to make boarding and dis-embarking efficient and straightforward for customers, but we know waiting in the car lanes can be a bit frustrating - particularly if you have arrived early and then see cars that have arrived after you boarding first. The reason for this is that each ship and sailing has a different mixture of passenger and freight vehicles of all shapes and sizes, so the process is a bit like fitting the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle together.

Brittany Ferries Galicia Santander to Portsmouth Jan 2023 Storm Gerard #bayofbiscay #brittanyferries

14th August. An interesting update from Keith. Galicia is owned by Stenna and is on long term contract. This is the link for further information if you have an interest in these matters.

Last leg of our winter road trip UK to Benidorm. This one filmed over the 18th and 19th January 2023. Its been great. If you have followed us on our drive through France to Spain thanks for coming along with us it was fun. Even the last few days when the storms hit the north of Spain and the Bay of Biscay. Apologies for not much footage on this vlog inside the Brittany Ferries ship Galicia. As mentioned in the video we ran into the storm again and the Captain confined us to our cabins for safety. It was rough. Quite a few highlights of our trip. Brittany ferries are a bit expensive but it saved us over 500 miles and proved to be a good decision as the South of France got hit badly by the storms and we would have been right in the thick of it if we hadn't used the ferry. Coming across the Roman ruins off the motorway in the south of France. Didn't expect that and all the planes parked up at Teruel. Benidorm was great again and I had a good few bike rides and a look around the work they are doing at Camping Villasol to put in fully serviced pitches. They are doing a good job and we look forward to getting back to Benidorm again in the near future. Camping Almafra spoiled us with one of their luxury park homes and the facilities bar and staff are great if you are ever down that way. Wow was it windy on the way back. We just managed to stay ahead of the storm and got to Belchite an abandoned town from the Spanish civil war, preserved as a war memorial. Very moving and thought provoking. Nice visit up to Guadalest too near Benidorm. It would be great if you could like and subscribe. I am quite behind on editing. We have the new caravan now and have just had an epic couple of weeks in Scotland and of course been away for the Kings coronation so will get to work now and put the vlogs together. If you want any information about the campsites in Benidorm or routes down to Spain drop me a line.
Thanks again for coming with us on our trip to Spain and please subscribe if you can. It really helps the channel and i love the comments and banter.

LUXURY Ferry Cabin TRAVEL Pont Aven BRITTANY Ferries

The start of our winter road trip to Benidorm setting off 4th January 2023. Treated ourselves with a luxury cabin on Brittany Ferries Pont Aven for the overnight crossing from Portsmouth to Saint Malo. Very nice cabin and breakfast was served in the morning. Normally we would take the caravan for a longer trip to Benidorm at this time of the year but all the sites were booked up so just jumped in the car and drove. Drove from St Malo to Irun and stayed in the Ibis which was excellent. On the A10 just south of La Rochelle came across some very impressive Roman ruins in the aire which I will post on a later video of the journey. Northern Spain was cold and foggy but it wasn't long before the skys were blue. Stopped off at Teruel Airport a ghost airport for unwanted planes before arriving in Benidorm and staying in a luxury cottage on Camping Almafra where we normally stay with the caravan. Hope you enjoy the video and the views as much as we did and please subscribe. Lots more videos to come.
