Thailand street food delivery with a strut and a smile...

In my pursuit of self expression I find it confusing choosing the platform. Is it an instagram story? A short film? A long-form youtube vlog? On this day I shot of bunch of footage and figured I'd figure it out later. I edited down a series of one to two minute videos that I posted as separate instagram stories. They were well received and I think they will flow as one longer story. Shot on Rompho Road in Jomtien Beach Thailand. Enjoy!

Cambodian Food - LIVE BLUE CRAB (Boiled Right Out of The Ocean) in Kep, Cambodia!

In Cambodia, this is where your crab dreams will come to life!
Subscribe for more videos►
T-shirts for sale here►

Located on the sleepy coast of Kep, Cambodia, you’ll find one of the greatest crab markets in the world. The blue swimmer crabs are kept in ocean baskets, and when you got to buy them, they will actually fetch a basket right out for the ocean for you, and you can rummage through the live crabs and choose whichever ones you please. This is one of the most amazing markets I’ve ever been to!

Cambodia Crab Trip - Phnom Penh → Kep, Cambodia, 146 km., 3 hours

Kep Crab Market - One of the best reasons to travel to Kep, Cambodia is to eat seafood, and they have an abundance of fresh seafood. Although I didn’t have time to stay the night in Kep, we decided to just take a day food trip to eat crab.

When you buy crab at the market, bargaining is expected, and the prices can fluctuate vastly. So keep this in mind when you’re buying your crab. On this day I paid 2 kg. crabs - $14 USD. One of the best things about buying crab here is that you can then turn around and cook your crabs right there at the market. Price to cook crabs - $1 USD. It’s an amazing experience of fresh crabs, boiled, and cooked right in the market.

They also have lots of other seafood. We bought 3 pretty decently sized fish, some rice, and a few bottles of sauce to complete our meal. 3 big fish, rice, sauce - $13 USD

You can then go to sit down at a drink vendor, and if you buy drinks, you can sit and eat your Cambodian seafood feast. Total price for drinks - 18,000 KHR ($4.34) *we had a lot of drinks, but I lost count.

If the seafood and crab at Kep crab market isn’t enough, they have an abundance of durian and fruit at the market as well (it also happened to be durian season). 2 durians, 2 kg. mangosteen - $10 USD. Kampot, located next to Kep, is famous throughout Cambodia for durian, and it was an amazing durian.

Best pepper in the world!

Next, we drove over to Sothy’s Pepper Farm, that’s famous for growing Kampot pepper, what is considered the best pepper in the world. We tasted and learned a lot about pepper and it was a lot of fun. Pepper tour is free, but you can buy pepper

Roundtrip taxi price for full day - $130 USD

$1 Rujak on the Streets of Jakarta ????????

I visited Pasar Baru, a market in central Jakarta. My mission was to find a Songkok, the stylish hat that was made famous by Sukarno, the first president of independent Indonesia.

I was confident I'd find one there, as all sorts of clothing was available. But I had no luck.

I talked to some locals and they pointed me in the direction of Masjid Istiqlal, the largest mosque in Indonesia and also one of the largest in the world. Outside the mosque was a small market area, and as this type of hat is popular with Muslims, it was easily available to buy there.

I even got a nice garuda (eagle) shield badge to decorate the newest item in my hat collection.

Everyone in that area were very friendly. Even the kids. As you may have seen in my previous vlog, all the kids I'd met in Jakarta so far were smoking and being impolite. The kids at the Istiqlal area were much nicer and represent their country well when meeting a foreigner.

On my way back to the Pasar Baru market area I was looking for some kind of cold and refreshing treat. I stumbled upon a guy selling rujak.

I'd eaten rujak before, many years ago, on a trip to Penang and I liked it. They call it rojak there, with an o. It's chopped up fruit and vegetables, covered in a sweet and spicy peanut sauce. Fairly healthy, as far as street food goes.

Again, everyone at the rujak stall were very friendly, including the vendor, so I gave him a big tip, paying 5 times the price.

I asked for a small portion but I don't think he understood me, and I couldn't remember the Bahasa Indonesia word for small, so I ended up with a portion that was big enough to feed a family.

I still ate it all, and enjoyed it. The sauce wasn't too spicy and was more on the sweet side, which is what I prefer.

The vendor gave me another portion to take away with me for free, which was nice of him. I put it in my bag to take back to my hotel for supper.

Back at Pasar Baru, I noticed there was a mall called Metro Atom Plaza. It was basically an indoor market that was much bigger than market outdoors. Exploring it, it reminded me of the Platinum Fashion mall in Bangkok, Thailand. Loads and loads of small shops selling locally made and designed clothes.

Just like the one in Bangkok, there was a food court on the top floor. I was looking for something non-sweet, as I'd just eaten that massive portion of rujak, but somehow I ended up with a bowl of Sop Buah, which literally means fruit soup.

The Sop Buah was chopped fruit in a bowl with ice, covered in condensed milk. An interesting ingredient was avocado, for two reasons. For one, it's normally an expensive ingredient and this whole bowl of fruit soup was only 15,000 rupiah (less than $1 USD). And secondly, despite avocado being a fruit, it's normally eat like a vegetable, similar to cucumber. You wouldn't expect it in something like a fruit salad.

As the ice started to melt it soaked up the flavours and colours of the fruit, especially the dragon fruit which is bright purple. It was an interesting combination of flavours, with the avocado in there, but I enjoyed it.

Full of energy from the rujak and sop buah, I went exploring again, this time for an Indonesia national team football shirt. Unfortunately, not one of the hundreds of shops at Pasar Baru sold football shirts. The friendly vendors did tell me where I could find them though, at another market called Tanah Abang.

I took a Grab Car there and arrived just before the closed. It seems like these types of markets all close at 4 p.m. which is very early.

I somehow ended up with not only the Indonesia national jersey but also a Scotland one. I've never seen a Scotland jersey in any market I've been to in my global travels, so I had to take the opportunity to buy one.

So the market hunt ended successfully. I got my Indonesian shirt and hat, as well as filled my belly with Indonesian food. Job well done!

No Foreigners In This Local Vientiane Market | LAOS ????????

We finally made it to Vientiane! The capital city of Laos here in Southeast Asia! ????????

As always the first thing we had to do was go check out the biggest local market in town so we headed out early morning to see what was going on.

On the way to the market we found a man selling rabbits on the street for 100k laos kip and then further down the street a lady was selling super interesting looking laos style baguettes we couldn't resist getting one. The sandwich was 15k Lao kip and it was really delicious with some strange flavours coming through I'd never tasted before.

We arrived at the local Vientiane Market and it was crazy all kinds of stuff was going on everybody was here doing their shopping. We took a walk around just browsing what sort of things are sold! It seems you can buy just about anything here in Vientiane.

Outside on the road there are loads of people selling seafood and other animals live which was cool to see, we had a chat with a few of the sellers and looked at their goods! Everybody in this Vientiane market was genuinely really nice and friendly.

Then we headed through the serious meat section of the market where all the proper fresh stuff is! Straight after that we hit the fermented fish section which you can definitely smell before you see!!

On the way out a fish dived out of the boxes on the street and leesh got splashed with fish juice on her glasses! It was only a matter of time. We actually bought some crispy pork on the way out of the main Vientiane market Street for 20k Lao kip for 100g and it was so tasty, little bit sweet.

To end our day we left the market, met some absolute characters gambling who wouldn't let us film for obvious reasons, then we got a fresh pineapple smoothie made down the road for only 15k laos kip!

What a great local market this was here in Vientiane Laos! I highly recommend you visit if your in the city.

Please 'Like' the video and 'Subscribe' if you enjoyed watching. It really does help my videos reach more new viewers!

Pressing raw sugar cane into sugar juice at a São Paulo street stall

A hint of fresh lemon juice. Natural and delicious tooth-destroying sweetness. No preservatives or artificial anythings.

NONG KHIAW Is Overrated ???????? Laos

Nong Khiaw has become an extremely popular tourist destination here in Northern Laos, so much that you see more foreigners here walking around than local people, this video is pretty much my honest impressions of Nong Khiaw wether people like it or not!

I started the day with a hotel tour, for $15 a night we stayed in a beautiful room with a river view and terrace, the hotel was beautiful but the owner was so greedy I really do not recommend the 'nam Ou River Lodge'

The owner tried to change our thai baht at the worst exchange rate ever even though we are paying to stay at his hotel, the hotel doesn't even offer tea coffee or water - even $3 a night hotels in Laos offer these things which is strange.

For breakfast we ate at the most popular khao soi noodle stall in all nong khiaw, this place is always heaving with locals and at 15k lao kip it is incredible cheap aswell as delicious.

Don't buy any bus tickets through hotels or tour company's, always buy direct from bus stations it is so much cheaper. Again our hotel kept trying to sell us things and give us wrong information so we would buy overpriced rubbish.

Grabbed an iced green tea from a lovely lady in nong khiaw Town before having a little honest chat about what tourism does to places and how it damages them/changes the whole atmosphere of these small towns.

As the sun set we headed out for a walk around the beautiful nong khiaw town to show you how incredible and old school life in rural lao is. This has to be one of the most picturesque towns in all of Laos for sure its crazy beautiful.

Ended the day with some cheap local lao food from the street grill round the corner from us, sometimes you can't beat sticky rice, grilled meat and a local lao dip.

Not everything is amazing and I won't pretend it is I'm honest, if I feel something is off I'll tell you it is what it is. This is the reason why we usually visit less touristy destinations, that way we generally never ever have a bad experience and meet amazing locals.

Why It's So Easy To Love Vietnam ???????? SAIGON First Impressions

SAIGON, VIETNAM - Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City aka Saigon! It's my first time in Vietnam and I venture out for a walk to find some street food and get some first impressions. I was surprised by how busy this place was and I felt massively out of my comfort zone for the first time in a long while. I step out on the hunt for some Vietnamese street food in Saigon District 2. I ended up meeting some local girls who offer me to try their street snack Bánh Tráng Trộn before wandering the energetic streets some more on the hunt for my dinner. I eat bun ca which is a delicious fish noodle soup, which was shockingly good for a little street vendor in Thao Dien.
