Dubai, best known city of United Arab Emirates and capital city of Dubai Emirate, is truly a city that never sleeps. Its main 3 areas - the financial district with nearby Burj Khalifa skyscraper, known as the Burj Dubai prior to its inauguration in 2010, with a total height of 829.8 m and a roof height of 828 m, the Burj Khalifa has been the tallest structure and building in the world since its topping out in 2009. Dubai Marina is an affluent residential neighborhood with many skyscrapers in close proximity. 3rd main area of interest is Deira, located on the east bank of Dubai Creek, where dhows carrying imported goods sail back and forth across the water, overlooked by waterside skyscraper hotels and mid-range shopping malls. Simple Arabic shawarma cafes surround the discount jewelry stores at Dubai Gold Souk, with turmeric and saffron sold in the Spice Souk. The Heritage House dates from 1890, showcasing the lavish home of a pearl merchant.

Dubai is a great illustration of a rapidly changing world. While 25 years ago, few people had heard of this small town in the middle of a desert, today Dubai is the financial center of the Middle East clearly aimed at beating all possible records and looking like the most incredible metropolis in the world.
The City of Records can literally blow your mind. Here you can see a lot of highest/biggest/ most luxurious things in the world. In other words, there is a lot to do and to see. However, if you prefer low-cost traveling - you'd better avoid the city of Dubai.
No city is without its flaws, and Dubai is no different. Unfortunately, the city is almost entirely owned by cars and it's quite tedious and uncomfortable to explore the city on foot. Moreover, you can notice a lot of doubtful architectural objects, which construction quality raises many questions. It is also worth noticing that Dubai has no historical heritage - that is why many people criticize it for the lack of a special atmosphere and a sort of sterility.
Nevertheless, this city is definitely worth visiting. Dubai has one crucial feature - it works like a time machine. Seeing these urban futuristic landscapes against the background of a sultry desert on the one hand and the endless sea on the other will convince you that the most fantastic future is already here.
