Driving through Majuro - Airport to Ajeltake

This was the end stretch of my drive home from work, through Ajeltake when I lived in the Marshall Islands July 2010-July 2011, and also the road I learnt to drive on (can't believe how narrow it is now!).
I've uploaded it on here as I remember searching for stuff on the Marshall Islands before I went to live there, and I know there is a driving through D-U-D video already. It is the prettiest part of Majuro (in my opinion), the narrowest, and apparently the most haunted resulting in the inability to get a taxi home after nightfall...

It's Feels Like AMERICA!!! | Majuro, Marshall Islands ????????

After landing in Majuro, I realized something familiar. That it felt like I was back in the USA, only still many miles away. Why does Majuro have such a strong American influence?

Flying to the MARSHALL ISLANDS (RMI) | Travel Vlog

WE GOT TO FLY TO THE MARSHALL ISLANDS FOR A DAY OR TWO!

Honestly, if you don't use United points for this flight, you will have to pay quite a pretty penny. But if you're close enough in the area and have a lot saved up - it's quite possibly the best price/points used flight we've ever taken.

Episode 151
__________
About Us

We met in college and started a five year journey to graduate, get jobs, pay off student loans and save money to travel. After getting married we bought a one way ticket to Greece in July of 2021 and have been traveling around the Globe since. Living abroad definitely brings some unique experiences.

These laidback Youtube videos will be our way of keeping in touch with family and friends as we explore different countries, try new and strange foods (and of course pizza), and see how many times we can avoid airplane fares. These homevideos will be the only souvenir we end up with at the end (only because nothing else will fit in our bags).

Thanks for watching!

Marshall islands - Majuro & Arno Atoll

Moments of our journey in the Marshall Islands!

RREtoMIR

This is a drive-through look at the main street of Majuro, Marshall Islands during our adoption that took place in October of 2009. Ignore the background noise, just trying to capture the places and faces of the island. This was our main journey between the hotels of MIR and RRE. This is the lagoon side of the atoll.

Sorry about the poor video quality through the dirty window of the cab.

I touch land for the first time in 22 days on Majuro Atoll, after sailing from Hawaii to the Marshall Islands. I fracture my heal and then watch as my boom separates from my mast at the gooseneck.

Hi, I’m Markus and this is my Adventure Travel Vlog Series. I am travelling around the planet without ever using motorized transport. I started this journey in Toronto, Canada in July of 2015 and intend to circumnavigate back to where I started.

In this weekly youtube series (Every Sunday at 4PM EST) I will share my day to day experiences of what it’s like to travel around the earth under my own power (with help from some wind and currents too!). Loads of epic adventure videos I’m happy to share with you.

Become a patron and join the Routes of Change crew here for exclusive behind the scenes access:

SPOILER ALERT:!!

I started the journey in a canoe and have since trimaraned, hand cycled, pogosticked, tricycled, skiied, rafted, kayaked, SUPed, rowed, bicycled, sailed, walked, and danced half way around the planet.

Majuro Bridge in Majuro, Marshall Islands

Located in Majuro Atoll in the Marshall Islands, the Majuro Bridge is a significant attraction which could be worth sightseeing when in the Marshall Islands. It is a stable structure of zen origins which connects two islands, allowing people to pass from one to the other. It is also considered by the local of the Marshall Islands as the highest point in the nation. A lovely area for running or just sightseeing, you could see witness the beautiful ocean surf from the bridge. You could also enjoy observing the murals which are found underneath the bridge.
See the capital in full from Majuro Bridge. The bridge connects the small and large islands of Majuro, perfect for snapping pictures or simply taking in the views. Fishing boats come and go from here, while the graffiti on the side of the bridge represents the history of the Marshallese people. Enjoy looking at the clear, crystalline water--just don't try swimming, since the currents can be quite strong.
