- Marveling at the serenity of the Indian River, taking a tour with a knowledgeable local guide;
- Enjoying some poetry of our young Alëna who has written it inspired by unsurpassed natural beauty of Dominica ???????? ;
- Shivering under the chilly wind in a height of over 2,500 ft above sea level while visiting the Freshwater lake - the largest of Dominica’s 4 lakes and the source of the Roseau River;
- 'Ti tou' means 'little-throat' in Creole and this gorge was formed by volcanic lava which cooled and split open, leaving this natural cave. Swim right inside to find a gushing waterfall, sparkling with light filtered from the forest canopy above.
- Hiking through a forest of ginger plants and vanilla orchids toward twin Trafalgar Falls is spectacular and pleasant and waterfalls themselves are incredibly impressive!
- Driving along the Atlantic side of Dominica, having enchanted by breathtaking vistas, passing by Calibishie - the main village on the scenic north coast - the home to a dramatic mosaic of steep cliffs, red rocks, and rivers gushing down from the mountains.
- Visiting Carib territory. Dominica has the largest remaining tribe of Carib Indians, also called Kalinago people. It believed that they have originally come from South America and represent the last remaining tribe of the pre-columbian Carib Indians going back to about 3000 B.C. Nestled amid banana and breadfruit trees, the village is a cluster of traditional wooden buildings. You can wander around the village and watch the Carib Indians carving dugout canoes, weaving baskets and mats, and sharing their knowledge of medicinal plants. The Caribs survive through fishing and agriculture as well as the crafts they sell to visitors.
- Taking a Dip in cooling emerald green water of Emerald Pool. Once you leave the developed areas of Roseau, you travel through pristine forests with valleys, streams and waterfalls.
- Stepping back in Dominica’s European past and spending a beautiful time discovering Fort Shirley, part of the Cabrits National Park, which located on a scenic peninsula just north of Portsmouth.

With the best views of the gigantic pitons, overnight stays in tree houses in the middle of the jungle and the most beautiful snow-white beaches, Saint Lucia is high on the list of the most beautiful islands in the world. We sleep in Soufrière, visit the Diamond Waterfalls, hike the Tet Paul Nature Trail and visit the beaches Anse Chastanet, Sugar Beach and Jalousie Plantation Beach. From the west, we drive our small jeep through the rainforest to the south and east, before relaxing at an all-inclusive resort in the north.
This year we travel all over the world and after the Canary Islands, Oman, Cape Verde and Martinique, Saint Lucia is our fifth destination. We recently had the opportunity to explore it to the fullest with Sunfari Adventure Tours! We ate at Pasta Go Go for breakfast, swam in the beautiful waters of Magen's Bay, Snorkeled with ALL of the fish at Coki Beach, grabbed some drinks at Abi's beach bar, took an exhilarating ride on a zapcat and ended the day on the Bama Breeze Power Boat!

Touring around Dominica The Caribbean's Nature Isle
Not to be confused with the Dominican Republic, the Commonwealth of Dominica is one of the Lesser Antilles’ Windward islands. With 9 of the Caribbean’s 16 active volcanoes, Dominica is the youngest island in the Lesser Antilles with visible geothermal/volcanic activity. This can be experienced first-hand at the second-largest thermally active “hot spring” in the world, Boiling Lake. Famous for it’s extreme mountainous landscape and plentiful waterfalls, Dominica travel is a “hiker’s dream” and also a very popular spot for snorkeling, canyoning and scuba diving.
The island maintains an extensive natural park system including Cabrits National Park, Northern Forest Reserve, Central Forest Reserve, as well as Morne Trois Pitons National Park, a tropical forest blended with scenic volcanic features recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dominica is also preserving life in the water with marine parks such as the Soufriere-Scott’s Head Marine Reserve. Main attractions including Fort Shirley, Sulphur Springs, Botanical Gardens and Carib Territory. There’s also an Indian River safari as well as dolphin & whale watching tours to enjoy at sea.
