Refillable Mugs:
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, like many other resorts within the Walt Disney World complex, offers a refillable mug program. This program allows guests to purchase a reusable mug that they can refill multiple times throughout their stay at the resort. Here's a basic overview of how it works:
Purchase the Mug: Guests can buy the refillable mugs at the resort's food court, quick service restaurant, or other designated locations. The mugs usually come with a design themed to the resort or the current promotional theme in the parks.
RFID Chip: The bottom of each mug has an embedded Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) chip. This chip communicates with the drink refill stations to validate whether a refill is allowed.
Duration: Once activated, the refillable mugs can be used for the length of the guest's stay at any Disney World Resort hotel. They cannot be used in the parks or in other locations outside of the resorts.
Beverage Stations: The resort will have a designated beverage station where guests can refill their mugs. Typically, these stations are located in the food courts or quick service dining areas. Options usually include a range of soft drinks, coffee, tea, and water.
Refill Limitations: While you can refill the mug as many times as you like during your stay, there's usually a time limit between refills, often around 2 minutes, to prevent abuse of the system. This limitation is controlled by the RFID chip.
Souvenir: After your stay, you can take the mug home as a souvenir. However, the RFID chip's refill capability is limited to your visit duration, meaning you can't bring it back on a future trip for free refills.
Cost: The price of the mug is usually more than a single drink, but for guests planning to stay multiple days and consume several beverages, the mug can quickly pay for itself in value.
In summary, the refillable mug program at Disney's Art of Animation Resort and other Disney World resorts is a popular option for guests looking for both convenience and value. It's also a fun way to take home a piece of the magic from your vacation!

I’m taking you around Walt Disney World’s Art of Animation Resort with the Pixar's Cars Family Suite! This is a Disney Value resort with 3 different sections of Family Suites themed to either Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and Pixar's Cars and one standard room section themed to the Little Mermaid. There are three pools, larger than life photo ops, and is on the Disney Skyliner shared with Pop Century. I’m going to show every section of the resort, the food and merchandise location, the arcade, and of course the Cars Family Suite with all the new updates!

Checking In To Disney's Art of Animation Resort 2023 | FULL TOUR
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a magical place to stay during your visit to Walt Disney World. As you arrive, you'll be welcomed by a colorful and imaginative world inspired by some of Disney's most beloved animated movies. Throughout the resort, you'll find larger-than-life characters from some of Disney's most popular animated movies, such as Finding Nemo, The Lion King, Cars, and The Little Mermaid.
One of the standout features of the Art of Animation Resort is the largest pool at Walt Disney World. The Big Blue Pool is themed after the popular movie, Finding Nemo. The pool has a zero-entry area, making it easy for all ages to enter, as well as a splash area for kids to enjoy. The pool also features underwater speakers playing familiar Disney tunes, adding to the fun and immersive experience.
Another great feature of the Art of Animation Resort is their family suites that can sleep up to six people. These spacious suites are perfect for families traveling together and include a bedroom with one queen-size bed, a living room with a double-size table bed, and a double-size sleeper sofa. There is also Landscape of Flavors food court, which offers a variety of delicious options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

This resort hotel is one of five Disney Resorts in the Value category along with Disney's All-Star Music Resort, Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, and Disney's All-Star Sports.

Of course, you’re going to be spending a higher price tag for a room at Art of Animation, but the theming and immersion is the best in it’s value resort category. We 100% recommend Art of Animation for many reasons, the food, theming, location, and – the best bonus – you’re located on the Disney’s Skyliner transportation route. That means you can access Hollywood Studios and Epcot parks without having to wait for the bus transportation. Big win!
