A Visual Journey Through Burkina Faso's Third Largest City
Discover KOUDOUGOU Burkina Faso’s Third LARGEST City.
In this video I am taking to Koudougou, the third largest city in Burkina with a population of more than 150k inhabitants. It is located approximately 100 km from the capital Ouagadougou, and 300 km from Bobo Dioulasso, the second capital.
Maurice Yaméogo, the first president of the Republic of Upper Volta, now Called Burkina Faso, was born in here.
Koudougou is located on Burkina Faso's only railway line and has some small industries, a market, a university and provincial government offices.
Although Koudougou may not have as many tourist attractions as other towns, its charm lies in its authenticity and the opportunity it offers to experience daily life in Burkina Faso. Exploring its markets, interacting with locals and participating in cultural events can provide an enriching and immersive travel experience.
