Today we take the bus from Quepos to Manuel Antonio. The journey to get there is short and cheap, under 500 Colones per person. We get out near El Avion restaurant, the most famous restaurant in the area. The restaurant is in a shape of an airplane and is very well known for its beautiful views and wonderful sunset setting. We’ve been wanting to go to El Avion for quite sometime as we’ve heard a lot about it but once we get there we realise the restaurant is extremely overpriced, the customer service there was also not the kindest, the staff was rude and not accommodating. We decided to keep walking and we found an amazing restaurant called Raphael’s Terrazas. Raphael’s Terrazas is cheaper than El Avion, with incredible customer service and the most stunning view over the Pacific Coast.
However, later we take you around the down town of Manuel Antonio, near the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park. Here I show you the cheapest & tastiest food / restaurant in Costa Rica. Watch to find out the name of it. We also take a walk down Playa Espadilla, the beautiful beach by the national park which is free to enter - perfect surf and snorkel spot. We also go on a bush walk down the river where we can see some exotic animals. Today we can really feel the rainy season in Costa Rica. Watch to find out what the rainy season in Costa Rica looks like and what we end up doing next. We also tell you about our next plans - starting Workaway in exchange for free accommodation and food.

Manuel Antonio National Park is located a few minutes’ drive from Quepos, on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
Admission fees for non locals were $16 US dollars per person at time of filming but are now $18 US dollars per person.
The site is very well maintained and some of the trails lead you into the dense Costa Rican jungle.
Manuel Antonio National Park is definitely one of the must see places in Costa Rica.

En la mayoría de mis viajes no soy partidario de visitar sitios muy turísticos, a no ser que valgan mucho la pena. En esta ocasión estando alojados en Quepos decidimos acercarnos al Parque nacional Manuel Antonio, intentamos comprar las entradas online por el valor de 18$ 3 días antes, pero no fue posible, por lo tanto fuimos hasta la entrada del parque para ver si podíamos comprarlas ahí mismo.
Cuando llegas hay unos operadores que te venden una entrada por el valor de 65$ 3 veces mas del precio normal, nos pareció una barbaridad y no estábamos dispuestos a pagar eso.
Lo que nos dicen es que ya han comprado esas entradas y que si no las venden pierden el dinero, eso significa claramente que es una REVENTA, y ahí tienen el negocio montado, sin ningún control de las autoridades correspondientes.
El conductor de un bus nos dijo que lo que hacen es comprar muchas entradas no dando la posibilidad a la gente comprarlas online en su totalidad, y así después venderlas por un precio elevado, listo ESTAFA confirmada.
Espero que las autoridades, si no es que también están metidos en ese negocio, haga algo con estos estafadores para que no sigan lucrando y dañen aún más la imagen del turismo en Costa Rica.
