‼️ WHAT IT'S LIKE AT WALT DISNEY WORLD DURING THE PANDEMIC ‼️

‼️ WHAT IT'S LIKE AT WALT DISNEY WORLD DURING THE PANDEMIC ‼️

WALT DISNEY WORLD VACATION 2021 PLAYLIST:

Here I share our experience of going to Walt Disney World during COVID. These are what our observations and experiences were like during our January 2021 trip. I’d recommend visiting Walt Disney World’s website for the most up to date information in regards to operations/hours/experiences since things can change at any time, but I hope you still find a lot of value in watching this vlog.

Even though there were modified experiences (and in some cases non-existent experiences such as live entertainment and fireworks) we still enjoyed ourselves. In fact this is one of my favorite vacations to Walt Disney World because we were able to take our time exploring everything with low crowds. I look forward to when live entertainment is back as well as fireworks and parades.

I did have some (okay, a lot of) anxiety about traveling, but once we got to Walt Disney World I felt more at ease. The cast members do an excellent job of creating a clean and a comfortable environment as safely as possible. The magic wouldn’t be possible without them. I didn’t really notice unruly guests unhappy about the safety measures in place. Thankfully I think people that choose to go to Walt Disney World right now understand what they’re “signing up for” and know what they need to do to keep everyone safe.

If you choose to go during this time I hope you have a wonderful trip while staying safe and healthy. I hope you find this video helpful as you plan your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Please Like ???? if you enjoy the content and if you’re not already subscribed to me I invite you to do so. ☺️

Going to Walt Disney World during a pandemic | What We Did to Stay Safe

#disney #covid #wdwbound

As a healthcare worker, our family thought long and hard before deciding to travel. Ultimately, we decided to visit Walt Disney World, but not without a lot of extra precautions and thought into how to travel the safest way possible.

We're Adrianne and Alyssa, two sisters who are completely Disney obsessed. What started out as a website in 2015 to store all the research and planning we'd completed for our own Disney trips, it morphed into a site for planning, trip reports, and all the tips and tricks we've learned along the way! In 2018, we added the YouTube channel to store a few videos for easy access on the website, then the addition of a few vlogs we'd put together of our recent trips. In 2020, we decided to dive headlong in the YouTube space and are loving this new creative outlet! Thank you so much for joining us here at WDW Bound!

Disney World In Pandemic: Animal Kingdom

Disney World In Pandemic: Animal Kingdom

Walt Disney World Resort reopened Disney Parks just over a month ago with a slew of new health and safety measures. We visited Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney's Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios to share our first hand experience at Disney World In Pandemic and what you should expect or steer clear of.

Disney World In Pandemic: Animal Kingdom focuses on what seems to be one of the least visited of the four Disney Parks in Orlando. In this installment you'll see everything from Animal Kingdom wait times to relaxation stations and even an unexpected cameo from Disney Parks Chairman Josh D'Amaro as he casually walked through the reopened Walt Disney World park.

9 Things to Expect at Disney World During Corona Virus + 2 Bonus Tips at the End

9 Things to expect at Disney World during corona virus. In this video. Make sure to watch until the end to get the bonus tips!

Of course some rules might relax as time goes on but this will give you an overall idea of what to expect. Please post a comment if you have any questions.

#1 : Masks
Expect to wear a mask at all times except in designated mask-free areas. Employees and visitors are both required to wear masks everywhere in the park. Neck gaiters and bandanas are not allowed.

At the time we were there, face shields were not allowed unless an approved mask was worn underneath.

We decided to bring paper masks as we didn’t have a way to wash cloth masks at our hotel.

#2 : Social Distance
Your group will be asked to stay at least 6 feet away from other groups. Disney has indicated on the ground where you should wait so look down for the stickers so you can maintain a proper social distance.

#3 : Parades and Shows
There are very few shows, if any, at Disney World. When our family was there, they had a bird show at Animal Kingdom and no other shows were open that I’m aware of in any of the other parks.

Parades are no longer scheduled, they are impromptu and shorter as to not attract a large crowd. Here’s a parade from Animal Kingdom and another one from Epcot.

#4 : Limit Touching Surfaces
One awesome thing I noticed was that Disney World rigged their trash can doors to stay open so you don’t have to touch them!

#5 : Dining
Tables at restaurants will be spread out to reduce the risk of being close to other groups.
There are mask free picnic areas where you can eat or to just sit and relax mask free. The tables are far apart from each other and a Disney Employee sanitizes after each party leaves.

#6 : Germs
You will see employees in the park cleaning and sanitizing all the time. You will also need to be prepared to wait as employees sanitize the rides. They don’t sanitize after every ride but they sanitize the rides frequently.

#7 : Parking
The parking lot is also spaced out so you don’t come in contact with others after getting out of your car.

#8 : Keeping Clean
Hands feeling dirty after being in a public place or on a ride? There are hand washing stations throughout the park so you can clean your hands without going into a public restroom.

There are also touch-free hand sanitizer machines before and after every ride and sometimes in-between.

#9

How Many People Should I Expect to Be There?
In many places, there’s hardly anyone there!

This is good and bad. It’s good because there are less lines for the rides but bad because you can expect some rides, attractions, kiosks, and restaurants to be closed.

It seems like even the visitors at the park were happy to follow the rules for the good of everyone.

Anyway, to sum up everything, we felt safe at Disney World during corona virus. We did not get the virus even though Florida was having a surge in cases.

Bonus Tip #1: There are no fast passes or single rider passes allowed
Bonus Tip #2: There will be at least a row separating your group and others on the rides.

Pandemic Disney World: Holidays At Magic Kingdom & Epcot

Pandemic Disney World: Holidays At Magic Kingdom & Epcot

Walt Disney World during the holidays is usually dealing with record crowds and surging demand. But Holidays at Magic Kingdom and Epcot are a little different in 2020 as Pandemic Disney World has not only limited capacity, but also restricted virtually all elements of the theme park experience. What was the Festival of the Holidays at Epcot like under these new restrictions? What was Magic Kingdom like without signature fireworks and Holiday parties? It's our latest installment of Walt Disney World in Pandemic.

The Kingdom Report's Wade Heath shares his first hand knowledge and first hand experience of what it's like visiting a Pandemic Disney World during Holidays at Magic Kingdom and Epcot, covering if it's safe, if it's comfortable, and if it's worth it. This is part of the larger Kingdom Report series: Walt Disney World In Pandemic, which chronicles Disney World's reopening, theme parks, resorts, travel and dining during this very unique time.

It's Holidays at Magic Kingdom & Epcot and we've got all the details!

ABOUT ROB TAYLOR Rob Taylor is the founder of 2TravelDads, the original LGBT Family Travel blog. Focusing on ecotourism and education, 2TravelDads inspires LGBT families (and traditional families also) to go beyond their usual getaways and use travel to learn about and be part of a bigger world. TIPS FOR VISITING DISNEY WORLD Visiting an amusement park may not be in your comfort zone yet, due to the pandemic. You should research the protocols in place carefully and see if travel is something your family feels comfortable with at this time. Shuttle, Monorail, moving walkways, and trams are all still operating (with limited capacity and social distancing). Though keep in mind that some of these may not be 100% enforced -- Disney is much better about enforcing protocols than Universal from what Rob has observed. Stay observant of your surroundings. If one area of the park is getting more packed than you are comfortable with, try to explore another area of the park. Each park is probably going to manage ride spacing differently. Disney ride lines have markers for where to stand and the zig-zag parts will have extra spacing so that you are not stopped directly next to someone, or plexiglass walls separating each zig-zag portion from the next. Just because there is reduced capacity at the parks doesn't mean ride lines will necessarily be shorter. In the case of Disney, they will frequently close down a ride in order to deep clean the seats and handles to help minimize any potential germ spread. You can still purchase Express Passes with your ticket at Universal Orlando, or receive them free if you are staying at one of their premium properties that includes Express Passes. Disney FastPass+ is not currently available. Disney is very good at enforcing the rule where you can take masks off to eat and drink, but only while you are stationary. Universal also has designated areas that you can take off your mask even if you are not eating or drinking. Indoor dining seems to be managed very well compared to the outdoor mobile order dining. Everyone's comfort level is going to be different. Do your research beforehand if you want to find out the specifics for what they are doing to keep social distance, but keep in mind that anywhere can make these rules and signage but what makes the big difference is how well a place is enforcing these rules. Keep in mind that if you are planning to visit these parks that means that you will be traveling into Florida. Florida does not make it mandatory to wear masks. They have left it up to individual business on what they want to enforce. If you are coming from a stricter state this may be surprising to you. While the Parks themselves are stricter the state of Florida is different. Think beyond the Theme Park for your visit! FAVORITE TRAVEL GEAR Rob packs for travel based on the weather instead of focusing on any favorite items. He makes sure to add pieces that are colorful, to make for fun photos, and are comfortable. For shoes, he recommends shoes that are comfortable, versatile and NOT brand new! You should never break in shoes on a vacation.
