TOP 5 Cyprus Beaches | Ayia Napa and Protaras side
Let’s look at the top 5 beaches of the island’s eastern side where Ayia Napa is located.
Pantachou Beach, also known as Limanaki Beach. It starts right from the Ayia Napa Harbor and stretches for over a kilometer, creating a picturesque view.
This is an obvious bonus for those who like not only to lie on a sunbed but also to walk barefoot along the sea in a beautiful place.
The farther from the Harbor, the more sandy the bottom of the sea becomes. The water is always clean everywhere.
Fig Tree Bay, Protaras
This beach is very popular with both tourists and residents of the island. First of all, it attracts with its incredibly blue water and white sand.
Despite the crowds, the water always remains crystal clear. The rocky island enhances the beauty of this place and also protects the beach from waves and wind.
In this bay, there is also Sunrise Beach, 800 meters long, with the same clear turquoise water. Almost half of Protaras hotels are lined up along this wonderful shore!
Landa Beach and nearby Macronissos Beach
On the outskirts of Ayia Napa, a 10-minute walk from the well-known Nissi Beach is the magnificent Landa Beach. White sand, stunning blue water, and a clean sandy bottom are the main advantages of this beach.
In all respects, Landa Beach is a smaller copy of Nissi, which, however, makes it less crowded. It rightfully occupies the top lines in the hit parade of Cyprus beaches.
Nearby is Macronissos Beach, which has the same qualities as Landa. But the bottom here is not always sandy, there are rocks and algae. Therefore, in this pair of snow-white beaches, Landa looks more attractive.
Konnos Beach, Protaras
In the summer, a beach that’s a little quieter can be hard to come by. If you all want a seaside day without the party vibes, then you’ve found it at Konnos Beach.

Hundreds of years later, a hunter accidentally found this icon in an overgrown cave. The icon and the area began to be called Panagia Napa - which can be translated as the Holy Mother of God from the forest. Over time, the name was simplified to Ayia Napa.
Sycamore Tree is a giant tree grows near the monastery. It was planted here at the same time as the construction of the monastery in the 15 century. since the age of the tree is 600 years.

BLUE LAGOON

Did you know that another 10,000 years BC. hippos and elephants lived in Cyprus. It is believed that they crossed to the island from Africa about 6 million years ago when the ancient straits between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean disappeared and the sea began to dry up.
The museum's central exhibit is an exact copy of a Greek merchant ship sunk by pirates in the 4th century BC near Kyrenia.

Nissi Beach Resort is a 4-star hotel in Ayia Napa.
The price of the rooms is not as high as in the other hotels located at Nissi Beach!
However, this beach is the most popular in Cyprus, so the beach and the hotel are can be crowded.
But, for the same reason, white sand and crystal blue water of Nissi Beach will delight even the most fastidious guests. The evening entertainment is below average due to the fact that guests prefer to go out at night. But, Nissi Beach Resort is surrounded by tropical gardens, the largest at this beach. The hotel's green area is in the TOP 5 of the biggest gardens among Ayia Napa hotels. However, please note, that it is noisy in the rooms faced the garden, because actually that rooms face the main road. Nevertheless, The Restaurant offers good food and Booking rating of the hotel is 8.5!
Overall, in our opinion, Nissi Beach Resort is a good 4-star hotel on a great beach. May be it is crowded and noisy but we don't think it's overpriced.

What are the pros and cons?
Olympic Lagoon Resort Ayia Napa is one of the best 5-star all-inclusive hotels in Ayia Napa.
A lazy River flows through the large and green territory of the hotel like in water parks; children will be delighted with water attractions and swimming pools. The resort isn’t at the beach line. You should walk 5 minutes to the sea. But when you get there, the crystal–clear blue water of Landa Beach will amaze you.
We don’t recommend booking rooms facing the parking, because immediately behind the parking there is a noisy highway. The hotel offers evening shows for children and adults at a very high level, perhaps the best in Cyprus. However, it can be crowded and noisy during the day. Wedding receptions are often held at the hotel – this can also cause discomfort to some guests.
The Booking rating of the hotel is 8.6!
In our opinion, it is perhaps the best family-friendly hotel in Ayia Napa. If you compare the price with the other all-inclusive hotels in Ayia Napa, the price of Olympic Lagoon Resort is only 10-20% higher. This is not much, considering its high level.

The town of Protaras and its surroundings is very popular. Especially Fig Tree Bay!
Fig Tree Bay is a sandy beach in the resort of Protaras, Cyprus. In 2011, TripAdvisor declared it to be the third best beach in Europe. According to the Big 7 Travel it is the third best beach in the world for 2019.
The sandy beach stretches for 500m and the waters are clean enough for the beach to have been awarded blue flag designation.[3] The beach, which runs the length of its own cove, takes its name from the fig trees located close to the coast.
There is an uninhabited islet easily reached by swimming through the shallow waters, the location of which provides a good shelter for the rest of the beach. The islet is covered with low level local vegetation. In contrast to other local beaches, such as Nissi, Fig Tree Bay has become a popular destination for families. Water sports such as water-skiing, windsurfing, and parasailing are available. From April to October, lifeguards and lifesaving equipment are available on the beach from 9am to 6pm.

There are many good resorts and beaches in Cyprus, but perhaps the best ones are the beaches of Ayia Napa with their crystal blue water and white sand.
There are no more than 20 beaches in Ayia Napa. In this video, we have selected the 7 best of them.
We especially note that we did not include the wonderful Konnos Bay beach in this list. In our opinion, Konnos Bay is more correctly attributed to Protaras, since it is located far from Ayia Napa and very close to Protaras.

It’s a 5-star hotel located about 5 km away from Ayia Napa
The hotel has a huge green area, where many bungalows are located.
In our opinion, the food in the restaurants is good, but not varied enough for a 5-star hotel. There is also no room service, which is not 5-star level.
However, the hotel has its own beach, which only the hotel guests can use.
Despite the distance from the noisy city, the hotel might be noisy sometimes due to cleaning of the garden in the early mornings or loud music.
But the rooms are beautifully designed and have modern equipment. The hotel offers entertainment for children and adults.
Despite the huge territory of the hotel, the beach, the pool and the restaurants can be crowded.
The Booking rating of the hotel is 8.2!
All in all, the Atlantica Mare Village Hotel is like a small resort village with its own restaurants, beaches and water attractions. It’s undeniable in the top 5 hotels in Ayia Napa for families. And the first one!

Paphos Blue Lagoon Akamas | Cyprus | Aerial View | Yacht Tour
The beaches of the northern coast of Cyprus are special. There is cleaner water and fewer people there. The mountains are located next to the sea and this gives rest here additional beauty.
If you relax in Latchi or in Polis, you definitely need to take a boat tour to the Blue Lagoon, which is located in the national park of the Akamas Peninsula (northern Paphos). Swimming with a ship on the high seas gives a lot of pleasure.
First of all the blue lagoon is untouched nature, crystal clear sea water with amazing colors, from sky blue to saturated azure with patches of lighter and darker shades. It is the largest lagoon of Akamas.
Currently the Blue Lagoon is one of the most recognizable, and accordingly demanded natural attractions of Cyprus.
You can easily go down to the water's edge from land. There is a small wild beach on which mainly stones.
A convenient approach to the bay and a shallow depth make this place ideal for relaxing in a natural pool.
Moreover it is a reef ideal for snorkeling and diving.
Recall that the Blue Lagoon is located on the Greek territory of the island, despite the location in the northern part of Cyprus.

What to do in Ayia Napa.
There are two Blue Lagoons in Cyprus. They are located on opposite ends of the island. One is in the Akamos Nature Reserve Park outside Paphos, and the other is here in Ayia Napa, near Cape Greco
As you see the blue lagoon of Ayia Napa is a rocky bay with a sandy bottom and very clear water. This is a great place for those who want to swim in the purest water and enjoy the bright colors of the azure sea.
Usually, they get here by boat from Ayia Napa or Protaras, but you can also get there by car. However, instead of a sandy beach, you will only find sharp rocks all around. So it’s unlikely to be comfortable lying on the shore. But you can go into the water on the steps and enjoy swimming!
But, in our opinion, a boat trip will give more impressions, because in addition to swimming, you will also get a sea cruise along the quaint rocky coasts of Cyprus and the picturesque Cape Greco.
Well, swimming from a boat is more convenient than entering the sea from the shore on slippery stones.
If you choose a large boat for the cruise, you can jump from it into the water. It is very funny.
