This is the World's BIGGEST water fight in Bangkok Thailand! We were in Bangkok for Songkran (Thai New Year) for 3 days of the festival when the whole city turned into a giant water fight!
If you go to Thailand then make sure to time it around the Songkran festival - it's one of the best parties I've ever been to.
Please note, this was filmed in 2019 before the restrictions and lockdown were in place.

Things get crazy in Bangkok, Thailand for Thai New Year.
Songkran is celebrated in Thailand every year from April 13 - 15.
I hit the streets of Bangkok with Chris Lau (@seelautravel) and we experienced the crazy wet water fight in Silom and Khao San Road.
I also had a cool opportunity to film for international DJ and music producer, @ephwurd at Siam Songkran Musical Festival.

Water fights on Khao San Road during the first day of Songkran Water Festival, the next day it was banned. The Thai New Year Festival took place from the 13th of April till the 15th in Bangkok.
This was filmed on Wednesday the 13th of April 2022. There where quite a few tourists partying in the streets.
This morning I filmed Khao San Road and there was not much to do :

Bangkok during Songkran has been so much fun! I’m shocked because I didn’t know I could love this city so much!
We went to the Khao Shan Rd, another major water fight location next to Silom Rd. Well, not really on the main road though, not that we ddin’t want to go, just the Grab driver dropped us in a side road of Khao San Rd, and it was so much fun already, so we just stayed there fight for the whole afternoon!
So cool, kinda different than I thought, cos I thought it was more touristic than it was. In fact in that street was full of local kids dancing. Kinda crazy!

Every year, Khao San Road celebrates Songkran with great grandeur.
Although this year's event was not held due to the coronation of the King of Thailand, many people gathered at Khao San Road.
It is very lively compared to other event venues. There are many foreigners, and a large water gun and ice water are also available.
There are many BARs on the road and you can take a break if you get tired.

Hi Guys, as you know today is SongKran, the Thai New Years.
We are going outside to celebrate. SongKran is known as the Water Festival! People go mad!
Before we go out let me tell you what you need. The first thing you need is a SongKran Shirt!
Don't go outside without a SongKran shirt!
Waterproof sunglasses.
A bag that you don't care that will get wet.
A cap. Because you are going to be outside in the sun.
Waterproof cases for you Wallet and belongings.
Waterproof case for iPhone.
Two GoPro cameras.
And some GoPro accessories.
And you guys are ready for war!
Let's go outside in see what it is like!

I like motorbiking in Thailand. Especially on SongKran.
This is how they are parting, the go with the van and they spill water on each other!

This is KaoSan in SongKran. SongKran is the Thai Water Festival. It's the Thai New Years.
And they go so crazy...

So as you see there is a war going on, and I equipped myself with...
A loaded gun!
You need to take the safety off! Safety off!
I don't know how to do it, because you need two hands for this gun.
And on one hand I am holding the GoPro and on the other hand I am loading the gun.
There is no way I can load it!
