In this video, I'm going to review my second trip with Royal Brunei Airlines. As usual, their crew are super friendly and hospitable. Whenever you need something and approach them, they are always willing to assist you. Food served are great. It's great that they set up a mini snack bar in the galley and instant cup noodles are also available upon request. Amenities such as razor and toothbrush can be found in the lavatory. Legroom is pretty good.
My humble suggestions for RB. There are few things I assume. Firstly, hot or cold refreshing towel service could be provided as it's a super long flight. A bottled water for every passenger would be a nice touch up too if middle or window seat passengers do not wish disturb their fellow neighbours or press the call button during mid flight. I don't know how often or do the crew check the lavatory during mid flight. Perhaps the lavatories could be checked at a higher frequency and amenities to be stocked up. Another personal thought is about serving the second meal. I think the crew can start the service from the last row to the front so that all passengers, at least, get the opportunity to choose their preferred meals.
Royal Brunei Airlines owns 5 B787-8 Dreamliners, registration number of V8 from DLA to DLE. Onboard this aircraft, there are 254 seats which are 18 Business Class seats, 52 Economy Preferred Seats and 184 Economy seats. Business class seats can be turned into full flat-bed with 79 inches seat pitch and 21 inches width (from arm to arm) with 15.4 inches in-seat personal TV. Economy class passengers can seat 33 inches on average seat pitch and 17.2 inches width for most seats. It can be reclined up to 6 inches. All seats are equipped with 9 inches touch screen with USB charging capability. Seat 43A, 43K, 50A and 50K are windowless.
As of 1 January 2020, RB owns 14 aircrafts (5 B788, 2 A320ceo & A320neo) and 2 ATR72-600s which are operated by Malindo Air. RB is one of the airlines that operates the youngest fleet in the world.

Brunei Intl. Airport - Departure Gates & Sky Lounge
Hi everyone. This video features the Departure Gate Hall & the Sky Lounge at Brunei International Airport.
Previews of my in-flight experience on RB to Hong Kong review are available at the end of my video.
Some details:
We've got 8 departure gates. The Departure Gate hall has various facilities, including:
- Cafe's, fastfood, rest areas, a money changer, souvenirs, Royce chocolates and more...
- They Sky Lounge; For Business & Royal Skies Gold and Silver Members. (There's rarely any airlines with First Class going out from Brunei). More info:
The hall that was in the video shows mostly what's around Gate 1-4. Gate 5-8 is in the extended walkway. I wouldn't call it a hall as it's just a walkway and waiting area.
Gates 1-4 are where the major airlines are wait (park). Gates 5-8 are for some budget airlines. Although, some major airlines do get landed (park) there. I showed you the restrooms downstairs, but don't worry, they're all around and have good access for the disabled and wheelchairs users as well.
The Sky Lounge is packed with all sorts of things to make a comfy traveler.
- It fits 120 people, although I never really see more than 5-6 people in it at any given time.
- The food selection is decent and you have a range of food and drinks to choose from. The coffee machine is great for all you coffee lovers.
- Elevator access is available keeping your ease in mind as well as being friendly to disabled people.
- Massage chairs are there to greet you and soothe those tired muscles.
- Showers are available to freshen up a bit before or after your flight.
- It's a well rounded experience at the Sky Lounge...

Transit at Brunei Darussalam International Airport
When we were travelling to Seoul from Kota Kinabalu, we get to transit in Brunei Darussalam Inyernational Airport. This is how the airport look like from the departure waiting area.
Brunei International Airport - The New Arrival Waiting Area
Brunei Darussalam is one of the richest countries in the world. It is a small Southeast Asian country in the island of Borneo (Kalimantan). Here is the waiting area of its smail airport. It is under renovation. Make sure to exchange your currency before going out of custom area, otherwise, there will be no more exchange counter outside. There are not many taxis in the whole Brunei. Make sure to be aware of your transport situation when you are travelling in Brunei. There was virtually no shopping area in the airport area.

The airport serving Bandar Seri Begawan has many shortcomings. The po-faced lady police officers who demand to check passports are hoity-toity. The departure lounge offers poor services for passengers. The toilets are grubby, you can forget about free Wi-Fi and there is naturally no beer available. There is little or nothing you might want to buy. Still, the woman at the cafe-type place will provide boiling water if you have the foresight to bring pot noodles with you. And many of the other staff are courteous.
