American Virgin Islands: The Virgin Islands are geologically and biogeographically the easternmost part of the Greater Antilles, the northern islands belonging to the Puerto Rican Bank and St. Croix being a displaced part of the same geologic structure. Politically, the British Virgin Islands have been governed as the western island group of the Leeward Islands, which are the northern part of the Lesser Antilles, and form the border between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The archipelago is separated from the true Lesser Antilles by the Anegada Passage and from the main island of Puerto Rico by the Virgin Passage. [wikipedia]

Rum Camp 2017 - British Virgin Islands
Another awesome sailing trip to the BVI. Enjoy some of the highlights from our 8 day sailing trip also known as Rum Camp. The adventure included 2 sailing vessels, Mango and Destiny, and 9 sailors.
We managed to squeeze a lot into our 8 day vacation including The Bight at Norman Island, a snorkel stop at The Indians, several stops on Jost Van Dyke (Great Harbour, Foxy's, Little Harbour, Sydney's Peace & Love, The Bubbly Pool), Cane Garden Bay, Marina Cay, Leverick Bay, The Baths, The Copper Mine, Hog Heaven, The Kraken (located in Long Bay), Cooper Island, Salt Island, Willie T's, and The Caves at Privateer Bay, Norman Island.
Destiny is a 40' bareboat charter catamaran that we chartered through The Moorings.
Mango is a 41' catamaran that is owned by family members. She is also the primary vessel for vacation charters through TYL Adventures.
Our first night aboard Destiny was spent at The Mooring's marina where we settled in via an evening start. The next morning, we had our boat briefing and set sail around 12:00pm to meet up with Mango and her crew that included three family members.

British Virgin Islands May 2017
The Marty, John and Ellie Sherrard and Tom and Carole Brown spent a week in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) hopping through the islands on S/V Reposado thanks to Chris and Karen Maruca. The aerial footage was shot using a DJI Mavic Pro drone flown and landed on the deck of S/V Reposado. While quite challenging and risky I believe all will agree the footage of the vessel under sail was quite impressive.
A beautiful boat, beautiful location and great friends made for a wonderful time in the islands.

Scuba diving at British Virgin Islands - 2017/01/27
This time we went to explore two shipwreck parks located on British Virgin Islands. The first dive site was the RMS Rhone. This wreck is located at a depth of 45-50ft, between Peter Island and Salt Island. History says the ship was wrecked on 1867 by a hurricane, killing 123 people.
The second dive site is Wreck Alley, located 88ft deep, on the south-west side of Copper Island. This area is composed of multiple shipwrecks (Marie L, Beata and Pat), that were sunk intentionally to create underwater attractions for divers.
