British Airways A350 Showcase Video

Following our successful visualisation and marketing work with British Airways around the arrival of their new Airbus A350-1000, Neutral Digital was commissioned to create the spectacular accompanying animations made public on the day of the aircraft’s arrival at their Heathrow hub.

We worked to bring out the glory and splendour of the A350-1000 by placing it in various skyscapes evoking the same emotions of comfort, smoothness and luxury that the onboard experience promises to be.

British Airways World Traveller Plus, A350-1000 - Business Traveller

Tom Otley, editor Business Traveller Magazine UK, reviews the best premium economy seats on British Airways A350-1000. British Airways World Traveller Plus, A350-1000 invited Business Traveller Magazine UK onboard to review the 56 World Traveller Plus seats.
- [Narrator] This is the World Traveller Plus Premium Economy Cabin. This is the front row of World Traveller Plus Premium Economy, seats 20 A and B and row 20, although it's staggered, goes right the way across the front of this cabin in a two, four, two configuration, so you've got A, B and then D, E, F, G and it's J, K over there. And in Premium Economy, it's seven rows, both in the window seats and in the middle seats. It's a two, four, two configuration. You can see with these seats, you've got the IFE coming out of the arm, whereas with all the other seats, as you'd expect, they're in the seat-back screens. So this is the Premium Economy Cabin, the World Traveller Plus Cabin, viewed from the rear, which is the back row, row 26. Row 26 is a good one in the sense of you can recline without bothering anyone and you can see where that area is, but of course, if you can see where the curtain is, it also means that you may potentially be disturbed by Economy passengers, particularly since, with these being bulkhead seats, it's where the bassinet will go for children. That's that bit there. So if you imagine that potentially could have a cot in it and if you were in the last row, row 26 of World Traveller Plus, that might well bother you. So, you know, it's a good row to have and not everyone can be in the front row. Personally, for World Traveller Plus, I tend to go for the middle-of-the-cabin window seats. We'll talk about the differences between Economy and Premium Economy, as in whether it's worth paying the extra. It really comes down to the seats and the room that you get in it and you can see here that these World Traveller Plus seats have got both a foot rest and they've got a leg rest, so while the seat reclines, which is great and you've got more room in the seat, because there would be three Economy seats there instead of two, you've also got that extra comfort for your legs.

MailOnline pilots a VERY realistic BA Airbus A350 simulator

EXCLUSIVE: MailOnline Travel's Ted Thornhill gets a British Airways A350 airborne - and lands it again - in a full-motion multi-million-pound simulator at British Airways' Flight Training Centre near Heathrow. The simulator is so realistic that it's 'Zero Flight Time' approved, which means an experienced pilot can go straight from qualifying in a simulator to flying a real aircraft carrying customers. The simulator is so realistic that Ted finds himself altogether rather tense throughout the entire experience... Pictured: Ted about to take off (top right), a real A350 (top right), Ted's BA trainers for his session (bottom right), Ted cruising over London (bottom left) and the exterior of the simulator (inset).

British Airways at London City Airport

We fly to 20 destinations from London City Airport, perfect options for both business and leisure travel. With London City centrally located with excellent transport links, and a minimum check in time of only 15 minutes for passengers with hand baggage, it is a great time saving travel option.

A350-1000 - Alex Cruz, Chairman & CEO, British Airways - Business Traveller

British Airways is running a number of short-haul flights for its new A350 aircraft prior to it being used for its first long haul routes.
A350-1000. We hear from Alex Cruz, Chairman & CEO, British Airways who discussed the A350 and new business class.
See More:

- We want our crews to get familiarized with the aircraft and there's many, many, many things that you have to learn when you come into an aircraft, particularly from a service perspective. Right, so a few things with regards to the 350 rollout. Indeed, we began to fly to Madrid. It'll be twice a day, two return flights. You may wonder why Madrid. It makes a tremendous amount of sense, cause already our partner sister airline, Iberia, has the 350. They've got, I think 5 in total at the moment. They will be able to assist us with turning the aircraft around et cetera. From there on, we plan to take the the aircraft into service in Dubai, September 2nd, Toronto October 1st, Tel Aviv in December, probably from the first half of December and then Bangalore in February. As you go a little bit into the future, we might make small adjustments but of course we are now getting more of the type over the coming months. The aircraft itself, by now you would be very familiar with it, 56 club suite seats and yes, already well documented by most of you on a 1-2-1 integration rather than 2-4-2 or 2-3-2 on a similar aircraft. 56 seats on World Traveler Plus and then 219 seats in Economy. A very, very good configuration will substitute the 747 in some of the markets, what we have seen, just a tiny bit less of premium demand but with this fantastic club suite we will be able to traverse those markets even better. The seat itself, I think you're quite familiar with that newly 11 000 club seats that we have to work through over the next 3 to 4 years, as we bring it in. And we are serving, after all, 95 long haul destinations and I'm pretty sure we'll be above 100 destinations by the time the rollout of the seat has come through. The seat is just one part of the investment. It is a significant part of the investment, of course its very visible. I was just talking to the crew that was there saying, it's extremely great to be with the crew because they see that investment coming through, not just with the food and the lounges which they may or may not visit but the seat and seeing the passengers in the seat will make a huge difference to them. But the investment is very much on the ground, in the air and other aspects of the air and of course in our brand. In the ground, of course you would know about the lounges. We've opened up a bunch of new lounges over the last 12 months. From New York, San Francisco recently, Et cetera. We have Geneva, Johannesburg coming up and more. This is a program that will continue going and going, either getting new lounges or completely re-doing the lounges where we operate. In the air, you've already sampled, most of you, Club World food, World Traveler class food, Economy class food and we will continue with the service, improving the service across most of the classes. Not just the food but also the amenities. We believe that there's still scope to continue doing a number of things to the products, particularly the premium products. The seat itself, I think once again, having read some of your writings, you're quite familiar with it. Direct aisle access, 1-2-1 configuration, the privacy door, 40% more storage and new entertainment screen, quite large, that will allow us to, allows us to do gate to gate entertainment. Now let me tell you what other people are saying. These are passengers that are saying : Wow, now I can finally put my mobile and charge it until either one of the two USB's that are there and there's just a little gap there to be able to run the wire. Small things, small details that are really good. I'm not able to show this very well. And then another important detail which today is challenging, right around down here, there's a place to put in your water bottle and its fantastic to just be able to keep it there. It doesn't bother. It does not interfere with your feet or with anything else. And of course there's a vanity mirror here on the right hand side and if you're the right size, it works really well. So you can look at how well you traveled on your way outside. And the last thing that I heard someone saying the other day, which I hadn't thought about, is the seat has three screens. It has the normal screen over here for the normal IFE experience. This screen for the adjustment of the seats, you lift this lid, there's the actual screen of the remote control to be able to manage the seat and less the seat actually and the entertainment system.

MailOnline flies new biz class on BA's inaugural Airbus A350 flight

MailOnline Travel's Ted Thornhill flew to Madrid form London Heathrow on BA's inaugral Airbus A350 flight and put the carrier's brand new business class cabin to the test, after the CEO, Alex Cruz, waved him off. BA is running the plane on this route, two return flights a day, while the crew familiarise themselves with the aircraft before it begins long-haul duties. The first most obvious improvement is the configuration - now a 1-2-1 all-aisle-access layout. The second, is the addition of privacy doors. Read on for the full verdict.
