10 HRS Amazing Wildlife of Chobe National Park in 8K UHD - Incredible South Africa - Part 1

Amazing wildlife of Africa is already on your screens in 8K Ultra HD resolution! Our filmmaker Robert Hofmeyr filmed this wonderful nature relax video in Chobe National Park in December 2021. For most of the filming, Robert and the team of guides spent time floating down the Chobe River and filming exotic birds, mammals, and reptiles. The Chobe River is an incredible waterway that attracts a huge variety of animals - thousands of elephants, incredible birds, huge crocodiles, a large pride of lions, buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and many more. You will see all of them in this stunning relaxing 8K UHD wildlife video! Because most of the time our adventurers were on the boat, they were able to get good low-angle shots of African Jacanas, fish eagles, African sharks, kingfishers, and other gorgeous species. And you can enjoy incredible footage in excellent quality right from your 8K Ultra HD screen! Take a virtual trip along the Chobe River with Robert and the team of guides from Pangolin Photo Safaris ( ) and enjoy the wildlife of Africa!

It was quite hot in December when this video was taken, but the thunderstorms cooled the air a bit. Robert used the services of Pangolin Photo Safaris, who provided their guides and special photographic boats for filming. His guides were Keeme Magasele and Charles Matengu, and his photographic hosts were Charl and Sabine Stols from Pangolin Photo Safaris. Robert stayed at the Pangolin Hotel in Kasanе, a small town on the river near the national park. This was very convenient as they provided delicious food and an air-conditioned room with enough outlets to charge his equipment and backup footage.

Filming was mostly done on a Blackmagic Ursa 12K, but Robert also shot some wide-track shots on Red Komodo. Since they were filming from a boat most of the time, Robert tried to include movement in many of the shots. Moving close to the animal, they then turned off the motor and drifted past. This created a sense of movement in the frames.

We invite you to experience all the thrills of an exciting safari from the comfort of your sofa! Turn your 8K HD TV into a portal that takes you to Africa's Chobe National Park and allows you to spend 10 hours exploring the valley, stunning African wildlife, birds, and reptiles up close as you would never dare in real life! Get a boost of animal wild energy while watching this wildlife video in 8K resolution! And diversify your knowledge about the fauna of Africa with pleasure!

Dreaming in BOTSWANA: Dal Delta dell'Okavango al Chobe National Park

#botswana #africa #safari

How to find me -

If you are looking for some of the last true wilderness in Africa then Botswana is the place to go.
Enjoy this aerial cinematic celebration of the Okavango Delta and the Makgadikgadi Pans. All filmed with the DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone. An aerial video really gives one a completely unique perspective of this beautiful country.
Filming wildlife with drones has quickly got a very bad reputation. Animals running in panic from a drone, justifiable annoys animal lovers and park authorities. I took considerable care to film without disturbing the wildlife. It is possible if done correctly and by using the right technique.

Found some beautiful music and added some sound effects - turn up the volume and enjoy.

Filmed entirely with the DJI Phantom 4 pro

Imagine yourself soaring over the delta, enjoying an unobstructed view of all the incredible sights below. As you journey with us high above the Okavango Delta, get ready to be dazzled by the magnificent landscape that stretches out for miles. From glittering waterways and verdant forests to sprawling savannahs and rugged terrain, this is a land of incredible diversity. One of the largest and most unique freshwater wetland systems in the world, the Okavango Delta is home to an astonishing array of wildlife, including lions, elephants, cheetahs, hyenas, hippos and more.

With a keen passion for showcasing the breathtaking beauty of the region, our filmmaker Robert Hofmeyr embarked on this venture with his trusty drone, DJI Mavic 2 Pro. This video was filmed in the northern part of the Okavango Delta where the river spreads out to form the swamps. Robert was on a Mobile Safari - a local guide set up camp for them in the bush. It was very wild and they were the only people in the area. Their campsite was just a clearing near a waterhole and there were no facilities at all. During the day they would explore the area by vehicle. The floodwaters were low, so they were able to drive around the area - when the water is high, much of the area is only accessible by boat. It was extremely hot during the day and they also experienced some dramatic thunderstorms in the evenings.

So, if you're yearning for a virtual adventure through the marvels of nature, settle in, and let this 4K Aerial Relaxation video transport you to the heart of Africa!

The 5 Best Luxury Okavango Delta Lodges, Botswana.

The Okavango Delta is one of Africa's most stunning wilderness areas and is home to a diverse array of wildlife. There are many lodges in the area, but here are five of the best:

Mombo and Little Mombo Camp: A luxury safari camp that will fulfill your wildest dreams.
Revel in Mombo's chic sustainability. The Okavango Delta has some of the best game viewing on Earth. This luxury safari camp is in a prime position - where the main Okavango River splits into its primary channels. Discover what some say is Botswana's best year-round game-viewing destination, with thrilling predator-prey interaction dominated by big cats.

Xigera Safari Lodge: Xigera Safari Lodge offers 12 beautiful suites, each resting effortlessly in this wild landscape. Amid this remarkable setting, Xigera's design aesthetic is wholeheartedly dedicated to celebrating African art, design, and creativity. Each piece has been handcrafted and inspired by the incredible natural surroundings in Botswana; every experience can be tailor-made to your wishes… an entirely new imagining of the African bush.

Duba Plains Camp: Duba Plains Camp, the epitome of the Botswana safari, sits in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The private 33,000-hectare Duba Plains reserve is a palm-dotted island, flood plains, and woodland matrix. This is the area that Great Plains Conservation co-founders, National Geographic filmmakers, conservationists, and explorers Dereck and Beverly Joubert chose for their home base for filming.

The camp at Duba Plains offers five bespoke suites. The camp design ensures it blends into the landscape while evoking the classic African safari style of the 1920s. All the rooms are on raised recycled railway sleeper decking. Each suite affords guests stunning views of the surrounding floodplain and the steady stream of wildlife parading past. Each suite has a lounge area and beautifully appointed en-suite facilities: a flush loo, double vanities, indoor and outdoor showers, and a luxurious bath. Ceiling fans and an environmentally friendly air-conditioning system over the bed ensure a comfortable climate. Enjoy your private verandah, complete with a plunge pool and shaded sala.

Jao Camp: Where Earth meets river meets wetland lies Jao. Surrounded by riverine forests and vast floodplains, Jao is the archetypal Okavango Delta camp and a lush haven for wildlife. Boat in when the waters rise or travel by game drive vehicle when summer warms the land. At Jao, the endlessly dynamic waters provide a continuous element of surprise and all manner of experiences to explore this Botswana paradise.

Sandibe Camp: In the heart of the Delta, on the edge of a waterway, you'll find Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge. Situated on a diverse, wildlife-rich, private concession, Sandibe has exclusive traversing rights over a vast 22,500 hectares (55,600 acres) of wildlife land bordering the Moremi Game Reserve.

The inspired organic design of the lodge melts into the surrounding forest canopy of wild palms and gnarled fig trees. Trees will shade you as you approach the lodge; an intriguing curl and sweep of shingled wood come into view, resembling a giant-scaled pangolin at rest. Stairs open onto the high ceilings of the copper-toned, glassless guest area overlooking the Delta. The wooden deck stretches beyond the roof from this central dining area, while the upstairs bar and lounge extend along an elevated walkway to a viewing platform.

A series of decks descend to the forest floor culminating in a log boma, with a small gym and private massage sala close by. Interior finishes showcase Botswana's artisans' craftsmanship and feature intricate basket ware, sculpted wooden tables, and unique feature pieces. While the main guest area is within the forest, the twelve guest suites peep out from beneath its canopy. Raised above the papyrus-lined banks like golden weaver nests, each is a cocoon of privacy with breathtaking views, a private plunge pool, and a cozy fireplace.

Pangolin Photo Safari on the Chobe River in Botswana

We are at the #Pangolin #Chobe Hotel in Kasane. We head out on the river on one of their fantastic photographic boats and Andy gets a #photography lesson. The highlight of the boat ride was a large bull elephant calmly eating waterlilies while we filmed and photographed him. We only had one night at the hotel, so we head off to the Chobe National Park to camp at Ihaha. Find out more about Pangolin Photo Safaris here:

In this series we are filming in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe with Imvelo Safari Lodges. From there we travel North, up though the park to Victoria Falls and we camp for a few nights next to the Zambezi River in the Zambezi National Park. Then we move across to Botswana and stay at Pangolin Chobe hotel for a night before camping for a few nights in Chobe National Park at Ihaha campsite. Then we take the long and scenic route home across the Caprivi strip and down through Namibia.

We don't make much money from these videos. So if you like what we do, please consider supporting us on Patreon:

Okavango Delta (BOTSWANA) - 4K HDR - Intro

The Okavango Delta (or Okavango Grassland) (formerly spelled Okovango or Okovanggo) in Botswana is a swampy inland delta formed where the Okavango River reaches a tectonic trough in the central part of the endorheic basin of the Kalahari. All the water reaching the delta is ultimately evaporated and transpired and does not flow into any sea or ocean. Each year, about 11 cubic kilometres (2.6 cu mi) of water spread over the 6,000–15,000 km2 (2,300–5,800 sq mi) area. Some flood waters drain into Lake Ngami. The area was once part of Lake Makgadikgadi, an ancient lake that had mostly dried up by the early Holocene.

The Moremi Game Reserve, a National Park, is on the eastern side of the Delta. The Delta was named as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, which were officially declared on 11 February 2013 in Arusha, Tanzania. On 22 June 2014, the Okavango Delta became the 1000th site to be officially inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

One of the best places to see elephants in Africa.

Hyena Pan Camp - Khwai Private Reserve. Botswana
Its all about the wildlife at Hyena Pan. First up is its phenomenal location in Khwai Private Reserve. Positioned between Moremi Game Reserve, Chobe National Park and the Khwai River. This exclusive concession is a meeting point for more animals than you can shake a stick at. Think nomadic herds of elephant and buffalo, lion, leopard and wild dog fiercely defending their territories, as well as kudu, red lechwe and herds of dainty antelope dotted across the plains.
And then there’s the camp itself. From its lofty position amongst a grove of cathedral mopane trees, the eight tents at Hyena Pan look over a watery lagoon of the same name. In the morning, you’ll open your tent flaps straight on to the trumpeting elephant in the lily-filled waters below, spend your siesta watching herds splash and snort, and fall asleep to antelope grazing just outside your canvas walls. This isn’t a place for those looking for opulence and extravagance; it’s a private piece of big-game Africa, where the wildlife encounters are authentic, intimate and always wild.

Botswana - Chobe National Park (4K)

The Chobe National park in Botswana takes its name from the Chobe River that corresponds to the northern boundary of the park.

The Chobe river follows the boundary for almost 60 kilometers and is also the national border with Namibia and the known Caprivi strip.

A classical big game country where the number of buffalo and elephants has really legendary proportions.
