We met up in the Brecon Beacons in Wales which is a great spot for camping with insane views at every turn whilst also getting to explore the local canal at Beacon Park Boats

Hello and welcome to our channel! We are Alex & Emma, a British couple who have been exploring the world together for over 10 years - from backpacking to vanlife:
2012/13: We both embarked on our own solo backpacking trips through Southeast Asia, where we would eventually meet at a hostel in the mountains of Thailand and begin traveling together. After a year and a half of backpacking around Southeast Asia & Australia, we returned home and to the corporate world!
2015: Travel Beans was born and we filmed our first videos on a road trip around Europe with friends! This was our biggest trip yet.. and you can go back and watch the entire adventure because we filmed ALL of it! This trip took us through Russia, Mongolia & China, on the longest railway journey in the world. Followed by highlights such as staying on a local island in the Maldives for a month, going on safari in Sri Lanka, couchsurfing & hitchhiking in Korea, seeing the snow monkeys in Japan, island hopping in the Philippines, trekking 60km through the centre of Myanmar, exploring the Indian Himalayas, and checking out some of the incredible US National Parks.
2016: Despite an unbelievably memorable year and a half of travels, which we were incredibly grateful to have had the privilege to experience.. we found ourselves in New York City, battling depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on.
2017: After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle. We left the UK with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a continuous travel lifestyle happen! We both got online English teaching jobs to be able to fund our travels and to keep creating videos. We can't quite believe that our younger selves decided to take this plunge but we are so grateful they did as we are still on this journey today!
What now?
Over the years, we've discovered that we LOVE road trips and even decided to renovate our very own little VWT4 van into a campervan to be able to enjoy vanlife and spend more time on the road. We are now the proud owners of 2 awesome little campers - one based in the UK and one that we keep in the USA. You'll often find us using one of these vans to explore Europe and North America. Our time spent overcoming depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. This is a video we have wanted to make for a while but quite frankly have never had the balls, it took meeting one man at a popular van life park up to provide the inspiration for this video.
I think because we both shared a strong passion for wildlife, the natural world and its rapid decline.
It may have been the vanlife that bought us together as well as ongoing problems with regards to parking within our community but what it showed me is if you put up a fight you may well be able to invoke a change, even if it's only a small one
We are often asked about the new wild camping laws and how other people disregarding our countryside is affecting our ability to travel freely, however we feel that the point is often missed and that it goes way further than where we can park for the night.
As we travel around this little country in our self converted campervan we are seeing more and more the destruction that the sheer volume of single use plastics can cause, and as well as hopefully raising a little awareness for the van communities current issues, we'd really like to hammer home the catastrophic impact the rubbish is also having on nature, those that can' defend themselves by filing their own petitions.

As the temperatures plummet here in the UK our van life adventures again don't go smoothly, we decide it will be a good idea to find a campsite to check into for a few days to wait out the freezing conditions but after calling around, we find it impossible to find one! We decide to wild camp for another night but after -5 our van decides it's too much and we end up stranded down a country lane with no one around to help!
Will we find someone to help and somewhere safe to stay before the weather really turns bad?

We won't lie, finding park ups and wild camping in Cornwall isn't easy, but there's one we do find that's absolutely perfect for exploring the south west coast path, let's just hope a few disrespectful van lifers don't ruin it, as we've seen some pretty questionable behaviour already this season!

IT WAS ALMOST PERFECT... living in a van in the Swedish wilderness. (female van life Sweden)
This week, after a hectic van life trip around Norway, we cross the border into Sweden. We were looking for some peace and tranquility so we head as far into the Swedish wilderness as we could get in our self built campervan.
The park up that we found was as close to VANLIFE perfection as you can really get, in the forest, on a lake and with it's own fire pit. All we had in mind (after Emilys digital nomad duties were complete) was some wild camping, wild swimming in the freezing lake, some kayaking to an isolated island and cooking dinner by the fire.
The 24 hours we spent here (almost) was oh so close to perfect...

So, this week we are still on the road doing our vanlife UK thing and it's taken us to the vanlife eats big picnic, where we were actually special guests!!
If you like van builds, vanlife, and food, then this is the festival for you!
With loads of stunning van conversions to have a look at, lots of quirky trade stalls, workshops in foraging, vanlife cooking and yoga just to name a few as well as food, drink, stuff to do for kids and live music then this festival really had a good feel about it.
Not too big but not too small either, it really felt like a big friendly van life meet up, where we, and our self converted campervan were made to feel extremely welcome, which was nice as we had to give a talk all about our van travels in Europe and our now infamous vanlife breakdown!
If you love all of the above, as well as meeting new people then this festival is great for van travelers and weekend warriors from all walks of life, whether you are doing solo female vanlife, vanlife with kids or like us are a couple travelling with pets then if you get chance, definitely check this one out!
As we always do at these things, we met so many nice people, old and new friends, and saw so many nice builds that the video would be days long if we had filmed and featured them all, plus we don't want to be behind a camera for the whole event as they are just so much fun so theres loads missing, hope that makes sense lol!

This is my bravest wild camp so far. Maybe not so brave to many people but to me it was a big step forwards in embracing a new found love of wild camping in my little van.
This video shows the journey up from Lancashire, through Moffatt, and on to the Grey Mare's Tail Nature Reserve where I walk up to the waterfall and spend the night wild camping in the parking area of the reserve.
I paid £3 parking fee for 24 hours and spoke with a ranger who was there who said parking there was completely fine. I was the only van there overnight and it was Halloween ... ????
Please remember to leave no trace so that these stunning locations can remain open to enjoy overnight park ups for many years to come!

Hi, I’m Sue from Lancashire, UK.
This channel is just me getting out and about in a converted VW Campervan, occasionally with friends but mostly solo. Fun, laughs, moans, groans, mistakes, and successes. It’ll all be in here!
I’ll share new places, hints, tips, any info I discover and whatever else I think you might find useful.
I began vlogging my solo travels in ‘Vanya’, to help me re-engage with life following the sudden, tragic loss of my husband nearly 3 years ago now. Working through a very complex grief has been the hardest & loneliest challenge imaginable. Some days it still knocks me completely sideways and probably always will. I really don't know. All I do know is that life can change forever and irreversibly in an instant.
By returning to the vanlife we had enjoyed so much together & embracing a new found love of video creation and vlogging, I’m continuing to build strength and balance to move forward through this completely unforeseen and unwanted next chapter of life.

We’re finally saying goodbye to NSW in Australia, making our way into Queensland for the very first time in the bus. BUT… it doesn’t go quite as smoothly as we had hoped for our first night… we were woken up by the Australian police and ranger in the middle of the night. This is van life…!! Who knew the van life rules changed as soon as we stepped foot over the border in to Queensland!

In this UK travel vlog we finally leave our home and decide to travel for the first time since the covid pandemic started, beginning with wild camping in England! We wanted to make sure to do it in the safest way possible, so we have teamed up with Spaceships Campervan Rentals to explore the UK & Europe with one of their camper vans to ensure easy social distancing and isolation whilst on the road.
We start our trip in the south of the UK at Seven Sisters Country Park, home to iconic white chalk cliffs and gorgeous scenery. Alex delves into some very average British food and Emma gets attacked by unknown flying creatures, before heading back to our wild camping spot where we spent our first night in the camper van.
