When Chef Liz and Will invited me to hang out with them and go to some of their favorite restaurants in LA, I was very excited. We set off to eat some amazing food in LA area including tacos, Armenian kabobs and Chinese savory pies.

Featured in this video, and huge thanks to:

Liz Johnson:
Will Aghajanian:

Teddy’s Red Tacos:
Armin from Mini Kabob:

Jeffrey:
Barbara:

Teddy’s Red Tacos - The first place we ate on this best of Los Angeles food tour is Teddy’s Red Tacos. First of all, Teddy is such a friendly down to earth guy who is passionate about birria, one of my favorite Mexican foods. Serving out of a food truck, we ordered the mixed plate of birria tacos, his made with beef. It was extraordinary, and great to hang out and meet Teddy as well.
Mixed plate - $10

Beijing Pie House - Next we drove East to the Beijing Pie House, another one of Liz’s best favorite restaurants in LA. We ordered a mix of dishes including a variety of dumplings and the highlight was their tripe salad laced in Sichuan pepper oil. If you’re looking for some Northern Chinese dishes, Beijing Pie House is well worth the drive from Central LA.
Total price - $55.70

Mini Kabob - There was one more huge meal we had to eat on this best restaurants in LA food tour. We drove to Glendale where there’s a large population of Armenians, and we met up with Armin, son of the owner of Mini Kabob. Immediately I loved the place, family run, just a small little shop with a few tables, and an ultimately friendly place. They welcomed us in and Armin took care of us from the start, fixing us a mixed meat platter with a little bit of everything. The Armenian kabobs were spectacular, as were all the different salads.
Huge platter - thanks Armin!

Heroic Deli - Finally, to end this restaurants tour of LA, we drove over to meet my friend Jeffrey who is starting a deli in LA called Heroic Deli ( Barbara prepared us their signature OMG classic Italian sub, which was unbelievably good and well balanced. When they open in Santa Monica, be sure to stop by for a fantastic sandwich.

Thank you to Liz and Will for taking me around to some of their favorite restaurants in LA, I had an amazing time!

Huge Iranian Food Tour!! INSANE KEBABS + Cherry Rice!! | Best Persian Food in Los Angeles!!

???????? Iranian Street Food Tour:
???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Los Angeles is home to a large Iranian community in a variety of different areas of the city. Today, we’re taking you on an ultimate and unforgettable Iranian (and Persian) food tour in LA, and I can’t wait to share all the delicious food with you now!

Huge thank you to Nia & Sahra, who are both originally from Iran, now living in LA for joining me on this epic day of Iranian food. Follow their food adventures here:

Here are the places we ate at in this LA food tour:

Attari Sandwich Shop ( - We started off this Persian food tour in Tehrangeles, one of the first Iranian communities in LA. One of the most legendary restaurants is Attari Sandwich Shop, where along with many dishes, they are famous for their lamb tongue and brain sandwich. It’s so good!

Saffron & Rose Ice Cream ( - Across the street you’ll find Saffron & Rose Ice Cream for fantastic Persian ice cream and Shirazi style falooda.

Raffi's Place ( - If there’s one Persian restaurant in LA, or in all of the United States that you must try, it has to be Raffi's Place. We had the honor to meet Mr. and Mrs. Raffi, they showed us around their amazing restaurants and we ate lunch with them. They have a hugely inspirational story of how Raffi's Place became one of the greatest Persian restaurants in LA, and the food is outstanding. Don’t miss all the different kebabs and varieties of rice.

Nersses Vanak Restaurant ( - Finally to complete this ultimate day of Iranian food in Los Angeles, we went to Nersses Vanak Restaurant, a relaxed, and again family run Iranian restaurant. Along with a full menu of kebabs and stews, one of the main dishes to eat is their legendary dizi - a stew of lamb, beans, and potatoes, cooked down until fall apart tender - it’s a favorite dish of Iran for me. Their lamb shank is also pilgrimage worthy.

And that completes an amazing day of eating some of the best Iranian food in Los Angeles - in the United States!

► Incredible food tour in LA!! All of the famous & delicious Iranian dishes that you can ask for:

#mrtaster #losangeles #persianfood
For the first time in the world, I got a report about pizza on Sangak bread in the second part of the Iranian food tour in Tehrangeles (Los Angeles), which I was very surprised by, and of course famous Iranian stews such as Qorme Sabzi, Gheime, Fesanjoon and delicious Iranian kebabs and Ash Reshteh and Halim in this episode.
Hot Naan is a famous bakery restaurants in Los Angeles that bakes different types of bread such as Sangak and Barbari, and delicious Iranian dishes from all kinds of kebabs such as Kobideh Kebab, Grilled Chicken to Haleem, kale Pache, Iranian stews such as Qorme Sabzi, Gheime, Mirza Ghasemi, Eggplant Curd, Alwieh, Ash reshte, marinated Olive Shallot Yogurt, home made Pickles, etc. But the most important thing about the restaurant is their pizza bread, which I dare say is unique in the world, because they make pizza on sangak bread with two layers of poppy seeds. It is delicious.
About ten years ago, when an Italian man came to fix the pizza oven and suggested that they could make pizza on sangak bread, they were very creative, and I must say that it is really delicious. You can order many different pizzas Like combo pizza, which mixes meat, chicken, onion, pepper, and cheese, and I was surprised, or chicken pizza, meat pizza, cheese pizza, and vegetable pizza. I tasted kobideh here as well as Halim, which in Tehran they eat it with sesame, cinnamon and sugar But in Mashhad, which is my city, they put gheimeh stew which is strange for other cities, but I like it. It's delicious. We also ash reshte, which was very good, and Iranians have a lot of memories with it.
After here, we went with Mehdi to eat one of the most delicious koobidehs in Los Angeles in Down town, Los Angeles, at the Shikarchi Restaurant, which many come for the Koobideh to Shekarchi Restaurant. They have different Iranian dishes, such as tahdig, which comes with eggplant gheimeh stew, ghormeh sabzi stew. An interesting thing happened I met one of my good friends named Dan here. We have been friends with Dan for a long time and we were always in touch, and he has a podcast. He does stand-up comedian and we worked together before, we also had talked on his podcast.
I decided to taste the food with Dan and we started with the tahdig, which was very delicious. Now the koobideh kebab, which is cooked with Iranian rice, butter, tomatoes and it was unique. The last restaurant of the Iranian food tour in Los Angeles was Rafi restaurant, where we ate all kinds of kebabs, such as koobideh kebabs, barg kebabs, and grilled chicken, various types of stews, such as eggplant gheimeh stew, fesenjan, soup, baghali polo with meat etc., here we ate tahdig with fesenjan stew, which was really delicious. I think the barg kebab was very tender and excellent. We also had lamb chops, which I liked. I recommend you to definitely try the baghali polo here. I think it was wonderful.

Extreme MEXICAN STREET FOOD in Los Angeles!! ???? DINO DRUMSTICKS + Backyard Breakfast!!

???? Mexican Street Food in LA with @mexipapaadventures
???? Giant Turkey Wings:
???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Welcome to LA, one of the best Mexican street food cities in the entire world. Today, we’re taking you on an ultimate street food tour with @mexipapaadventures . We’ll be having a special backyard breakfast in Compton, eating a carnitas chilaquiles burrito, dino sized goat leg bones, and finishing with an entire al pastor taco experience. Let’s get ready to eat!

Friend in the video:
Jorge @mexi_papa_adventures:
Jeffrey @jeffrey_merrihue:
Cesar @dj_m1choacano:

Pajaretes - There’s no doubt, pajaretes is one of the greatest and craziest food experiences in all of Los Angeles. Popular especially on ranches in Mexico where you need a quick breakfast as you’re milking the animals, a pajarete is a cup of fresh milk with some toppings. It’s all self service, you add coffee, milk, sugar, a shot of alcohol, and cinnamon and then spray in - directly from the cow or goat of your choice - fresh milk. It’s a life changing breakfast moment. There’s nothing better than goat to cup!

Carnitas Los Dos Chingones - - Next up on this ultimate Mexican street food tour in Los Angeles, we headed to Carnitas Los Dos Chingones where they make an insane carnitas chilaquiles burrito for breakfast.

Birrieria Barajas - - Next, we headed back to Compton and to Birrieria Barajas for their Jalisco style goat birria. The goat is baked so it has an incredible soft yet crunchy texture. It’s paired with soup and you can season as you like with onions, cilantro, and salsa. We ordered the Mexi Papa special, including a dino sized goat drumstick, and rib meat. So good, one of the best real deal Jalisco birria spots in Los Angeles.

El Taco Grande - - Finally to finish off this street food tour, we went to El Taco Grande, one of the staples of Los Angeles Mexican food. They arranged to prepare an entire shawarma “trompo” of al pastor - pork marinated in chiles and citrus and onions, and stacked. The flavor was so good, and they have a special technique of roasting the meat, then slicing it and frying it on the hot griddle before serving it to you. That way all the al pastor is cooked, crispy, and smoky. Some of the best al pastor tacos in LA.

Again, a massive thank you to Mexi Papa for taking me on this ultimate Mexican street food tour in Los Angeles - and easily one of the craziest food experiences in all of LA!

Huge KOREAN FOOD Tour!! ????️ SPICY SEAFOOD + Kimchi Noodles in Koreatown, LA!! [Part 1]

???? Christmas Food in Thailand:
???? Check out Steve’s Channel:
???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Welcome to LA and more specifically Koreatown or K-Town, which is one of the biggest areas of Korean food and culture outside of Korea. Today, I’m hanging out with my friend Steve from @RockstarEater , and we’re taking you on an ultimate and unforgettable Korean food tour of Los Angeles - Koreatown. In Part 1, we’re eating amazing hand made noodles and dumplings and kimchi, and one of the most insanely delicious Korean restaurants in the city. Let’s get started!

So even though it was all in one day, it was such an extreme day of eating Korean food that I had to divide the video into two parts. This is Part 1, and stay tuned for Part 2 when we eat some of the best Korean bbq in K-Town.

Here’s where we ate:

Mdk Noodles (Myung Dong Kyoja) ( - This is one of the legendary restaurants in Koreatown Los Angeles for fresh made noodles and Korean dumplings. They make everything fresh and the flavors are fantastic. A technique I learned was to take a piece of fresh kimchi, and wrap a mandu dumpling into the kimchi before taking your bite. I’ll never eat another mandu without kimchi again! The noodles were also spectacular and I especially loved the green noodles with all the toppings. Thanks to my friend Jeffrey Merrihue ( for joining us for breakfast.

Soban ( - Next up on this ultimate Korean food tour we went to Soban, one of the legendary restaurants of Los Angeles, and one of Jonathan Gold’s favorites, so it was an honor to have a chance to eat here. The owners were so welcoming and invited us into the kitchen to watch them cook. What I can immediately tell you is that it was one of the most magical displays of Korean food cooking that I’ve ever seen. And the food was just as good as the cooking, so much flavor and such a huge variety of dishes. This is the ultimate home-style Korean food meal in Los Angeles.

And that completes Part 1 of this extreme Korean food tour of LA. Keep watching Part 2 to see Korean BBQ!

The Ultimate ARMENIAN FOOD TOUR in Glendale!! Kebabs, Lavash & Love Cake | Los Angeles, California

???? MY TRAVEL/FOOD BLOG:
???? DAVID’S BEEN HERE MERCH:
???????? KEBAB DADDY:
???????? MUFFIN CAN STOP US:
???????? ORIGINAL KABOB FACTORY:

My never-ending food adventures in Los Angeles continued with me diving deep into the Armenian cuisine in Glendale! Come with me as we go on an incredible Armenian food tour in Los Angeles, California!

My morning began in beautiful Glendale, which has the largest Armenian population outside of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia! There are 65,000 Armenian-Americans there!

I began my Armenian food tour at Kebab Daddy in North Glendale roughly 90 minutes before it opened. Inside, I met John, who would be making me some kebabs and a delicious sujuk burrito! He grilled me some certified Angus beef tri tip. The aroma coming off the grill was incredible!

The food was going to be super spicy, exactly the way I like it! The beef is mixed with tomatoes and crushed tater tots, before it’s put in a thin pita with egg and cheese. The kebabs are served on top of rice with barbecue eggplant salsa, hummus, and Greek salad.

Next, John showed me their Angus beef chuck. Their kebabs are 80% beef and 20% pork filet. It would be naturally juicier.

The sujuk burrito was cheesy and spicy and made with a thin, lavash-like pita. It was so tasty. The spices from the sujuk were so unique. I loved the mix of textures!

Next were the kebabs with their cheesy yogurt sauce called lebni, which had lots of garlic flavor. It was good enough to eat by itself! The quality of the angus beef was incredible. It had a nice char on the outside.

Next was the beef-and-pork kebabs, Daddy’s Famous Lule. Alone, they were smoky and juicy. The mix of the two meats make it very unique!

Then, I hopped in an Uber to drive five minutes to Muffin Can Stop Us in the center of the city. There, I met with my boy Sako. You order at one window and pick your food up at the other.

They have sujoo sausage, Za’atar & Friends, Mother Muffin Salmon, and more on the menu. In the kitchen, Sako showed me how they make their muffin sandwiches!

The Sujoo contains cured sausage, or sujoo, as well as a sunnyside-up egg, tomatoes, and a basil spread. The muffin was nice and fluffy and I really liked the basil and creamy spread. It was so filling!

Their Mother Muffin Salmon contains house-cured salmon, tomatoes, cucumbers, dill cream sauce, and capers. The salmon also had a unique spice to it. The za’atar spice, the creamy sauce, and crisp cucumbers and tomatoes were fantastic.

The Za’atar & Friends is a vegetarian sandwich that contains cucumber, tomatoes, mint, feta whip with za’atar, and more of their amazing za’atar spice blend. It was like a Greek salad inside a muffin. The feta whip was almost like tzatziki.

I also had a frappe-like coffee and a crispy hash brown. Sako gave me a few extra muffins to take with me, and then we hopped in the car to drive to Kebab Factory.

Original Kabob Factory is the hottest spot in Glendale for kabobs! Inside, they have long grills loaded with pork, chicken, beef, and seekh kabobs. They have even more in their walk-in refrigerator!

Inside, I watched Felicia prepare the kebabs. She added some lavash and baklava. I jumped on the baklava first, which was chunky, sweet, and nutty. It contained tons of walnuts!

Then, I drove over to my boy Kyle’s house to share the food with him! I was full, so I just had some of their Lovers Cake and left the kabobs and lavash for him.

The Lovers Cake was minty, with some honey on the bottom, pistachios on top, and a creamy, decadent filling. I couldn’t get enough of it. Kyle loved the charred flavor on the kabobs!

Eating at the Top 5 Oldest Restaurants in Los Angeles

Decided to do something fun and visit the top five oldest restaurants in Los Angeles. I thoroughly enjoyed doing this and recommend others check out these restaurants as well if they find themselves in Los Angeles. None of the restaurants on this list are expensive or have a dress code, so no need to worry and no reservations required.

Most of the food that we discovered at these restaurants include all kinds of different kinds of casual food: sandwiches, french dip, patty melts, salads, seafood, tacos, diner food, beer, bar and pub food, the most amazing onion rings I ever had, and great homemade potato salad. Every place we visited was a lot of fun and well worth a visit!

Here are links to the restaurants:
