The Puerto Marina of Benalmádena offers leisure and great atmosphere to its visitors. With its elegant docks and houses, it is one of the most important places on Costa del Sol.
Its architectural design is a mixture of Arabic, Indian, and Andalusian style making it one of the most important maritime architectural jewels in Europe.
Another distinctive sign of the striking architecture seen in Puerto Marina are the housing islands - the blocks of houses that rise above the sea, as if they sprout and float magically on the water. The houses are built facing the marina, having been built in the year 1995 they have become a unique and interesting type of construction typical of Costa del Sol.
Puerto Marina offers wide range of shops, restaurants, bars, and shopping centers located on the mainland. Activities such as sports regattas, fishing contests and water activities are organized by the port itself. Sealife Aquarium is also found in the marina, a perfect space for the whole family.
The Port has space to dock more than 1,000 boats and is capable of accommodating boats up to 35 meters in length. It can be reached 10 minutes from Málaga airport and 30 minutes from Málaga by highway.

Benalmádena is a municipality in the province of Málaga consisting of three main areas: Benalmádena Pueblo, Benalmádena Costa and Arroyo de la Miel. The city of Málaga (and the nearest airport) is about 12 km to the west, and Marbella is 42 km to the east. The area has grown rapidly in recent decades due to tourism and has become one of the Costa del Sol's prime holiday spots.
With a wide and varied array of activities, no visitor will be bored when visiting Benalmádena, a town which is more than just a resort.
Benalmádena Costa is home to the majority of the area's attractions, most importantly the golden sandy beaches. There are many restaurants and bars that serve food from all over the world. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere all year round makes it a beloved destination for families.
A promenade connects Benalmádena Costa to Puerto Marina (Marine Port), which offers excellent shopping and dining. The marina is also home to The Sea Life Centre, where you will find all manners of marine wildlife. It has a petting tank where you can pet the rays. Take a stroll around the port and look at the floating hotels and millionaire’s yachts. When the sun goes down Puerto Marina becomes one of the coast’s best party destinations.

Benalmádena is one of the main tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol, famous for its leisure establishments, which include various amusement park, two aquariums, casino, a cable car, and one of the largest marinas in Andalucía.
Populated since the prehistoric times, Benalmádena underwent a remarkable development during the time of Muslim domination, a development that would later be paralyzed after its incorporation into the Crown of Castile in the year 1485, because of various natural distasters and the intense activity of the corsairs in the area. The cultivation of the vineyard and the paper industry would later reactivate the economy of Benalmádena during the 18th and 19th centuries, but the greatest demographic boom in its history would be caused by the growth of tourism from the second half of the 20th century.
The municipality's population boom began in the 50s with the development of mass tourism on the Spanish coast. During the time many established hotel, restaurants and businesses were opened, among these were Hotel Triton (1961), Tivoli World amusement park (1973), Torrequebrada casino and hotel (1979), Selwo Aquarium, Sea Life Aquarium, Cable car, Hotel Alay, and Chollocasa real estate agency. In the early 21st century, many more businesses were constructed. Parque de la Paloma is a more recent addition to the attractions, a landscape park with a large lake where visitors can interact with animals.
The coastal area of Benalmádena is known by the name Benalmádena Costa and concentrates of the bulk of hotel establishments. The Benalmádena Marina is found here, as well as the promenade tha crosses the municipality from the limits with the neighboring municipalities.
Benalmádena Marina, most known as Puerto Marina is characterized by its particular architecture that has been recognized gloablly, especially among European tourists. It houses different establishments such as hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, shops, Maritime Captaincy, the Benalmádena Maritime Yacht Club, a luxury residential area, and the Sea Life Benalmádena aquarium.

Benalmadena Pueblo Spain Charming Old Town Summer 2022 August Costa del Sol | Málaga [4K]
Far removed from the hustle and bustle of Benalmádena Costa, Benalmádena Pueblo, set high above the coast, is a traditional whitewashed village. The origin of the town, dates back to the eighth century and the Moorish invasion. It’s original name was Ben-al-Madina, which meant ‘Children of the Mines’, as the area was rich in ochre and iron deposits.
The ‘pueblo’ itself, is a typical Andalusian village, peppered with colourful flowers that bedeck the whitewashed houses. The central Plaza España, is a pretty square, lined with sweet smelling orange trees, the centrepiece is a fountain, featuring Benalmádena’s symbol ‘La Niña.’ You can take in the surroundings at one of the square’s pleasant restaurants.
The village’s local restaurants offer traditional and international cuisine in pretty Andalusian surroundings. The central plaza has a good selection of restaurants and dotted around the village, you’ll find Spanish, pizza & pasta and bistro eateries. Benalmádena Costa and the port area, just five minutes drive from the village, offer a huge choice of dining establishments, bars and music clubs.
Benalmádena Pueblo offers ample amenities for holidaymakers, but it’s advisable to hire a car to visit the beaches, a wider choice of shops and to enjoy the attractions and neighbouring resorts of the Costa del Sol.
The area is an ideal destination anytime of the year. The mild winter climate makes it an excellent destination for winter holidays.

The coastal area of Benalmádena is known by the name Benalmádena Costa and concentrates of the bulk of hotel establishments. The Benalmádena Marina is found here, as well as the promenade tha crosses the municipality from the limits with the neighboring municipalities.
Benalmádena Marina, most known as Puerto Marina is characterized by its particular architecture that has been recognized gloablly, especially among European tourists. It houses different establishments such as hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, shops, Maritime Captaincy, the Benalmádena Maritime Yacht Club, a luxury residential area, and the Sea Life Benalmádena aquarium.

Los Boliches Fuengirola Town & Beach Update August 2021 Summer Costa del Sol | Málaga, Spain [4K]
Los Boliches is a town that is a part of the municipality of Fuengirola. An old fishing village Santa Fé de los Boliches, most known as 'Los Boliches,' it is located at the seafront area to the eastern side of Fuengirola centre.
With a history going back to Phoenician and Roman times, Los Boliches has been and still is a fishing village and hold strongly with its traditions. The site of archaeological remains of a salting factory is a reminder of Los Boliches' rich historic past. The Museo de Historia, found near Bioparc Fuengirola tells the rich history of Los Boliches town and its neighborhood.
This place boasts some of the finest beaches in Fiengirola. Both spacious and easliy accessible to all. It is home to well-integrated year round residents, both Spanish and foreigh alike.
The Parish Church of Carmen y Santa Fé, located at the Avenida de los Boliches, is the center of the neighborhood and it is from there that the Virgin is carried during the Fiesta Virgen del Carmen, held each year on the 16th of July.
The most impressive and lasting heritage in Los Boliches is the local tradition of the fishing folks who have lived there through the generations. Until today, fishermen catch bountiful fresh fish and is served at local beach bars and chiringuitos. Between the main street and the beach there are plenty little narrow streets filled with the vibrant Andalucian atmosphere and with variety of local seafood and fresh fish dished to choose from.

At the Benalmádena beach you can visit the Castle Bil-Bil, an Arabic style building, which is adorned with fountains and is decorated according to Nazari tradition. Another building of great interest in Benalmádena is the Castle of Colomares, dedicated to the discovery of America. This construction creates a grand visual impact by combining all architectural styles.

Benalmadena Spain Latest Update Autumn October 2021 Costa del Sol | Málaga, Spain [4K]
The coastal town of Benalmádena is where you will find the bulk of hotel establishments. It is structured by the old road to Cádiz which is now converted into Avenida de Antonio Machado and Avenida del Sol and runs parallel to the beaches. The Benalmádena Marina can also be found here and the promenade that crosses the municipality from the limits with the neighboring municipalities.
The first human presence in Benalmádena, that is recorded as of today, dates back to the upper Paleolithic (around 20,000 years ago) period in which numerous settlements have been found along the Costa del Sol. In Benalmádena these remains were found in the Cueva del Toro (Mount Calamorro).
The arrival of Phoenicians at the coasts of Benalmádena in the 7th and 8th century B.C. and then later on the Romans left many traces and evidences behind, like the ruins of small towns and fishing facilities.
The first urbanised areas were only small villages and settlements at the beginning of the 10th century with the arrival of the Muslims.
After one century, Benalmádena Pueblo becomes the center of the population and the beginning of the social structure due to the construction of a fortress and a walled village.
The name Benalmádena comes originally from thr Arabic Ibn-al-Madena (sons of the mines) due to the mines of iron and ocher present in the locality.
Following the Christian reconquest came the darkest period for Benalmádena where almost all the architectonic remains were destroyed.

La Carihuela Torremolinos Spain Nightlife Update Summer 2021 Costa del Sol | Málaga, Spain [4K]
La Carihuela is a popular place for an early (and late) evening walk or dinner, or just to walk by the promenade. In contrast to the eclectic urban life which is the center of Torremolinos, La Carihuela has retained its own charm and progressed gracefully.
Fish restaurants continue to dominate the seafront, with perhaps the most successful one being Casa Juan which over the years has spread into four or five adjoining buildings. Casa Juan started trading in 1963 making it one of the first fish restaurants in La Carihuela after Casa Antonio which was opened by Antonio Marquez in Plaza del Remo in 1961.
In 1972, the promenade (or paseo marítimo) of La Carihuela was built, with places to park in the Plaza del Remo. Until the 1980s it was not much more than a small fishing neighborhood consisting of a couple of rows of humble houses.

Benalmádena is one of the main tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol, famous for its leisure establishments, which include various amusement parks, two aquariums, casino, a cable car, and one of the largest marinas in Andalucía.
Benalmádena Marina, most known as Puerto Marina is characterized by its particular architecture that has been recognized globally, especially among European tourists. It houses different establishments such as hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, shops, Maritime Captaincy, the Benalmádena Maritime Yacht Club, a luxury residential area, and the Sea Life Benalmádena aquarium.
Defined by its summer beach scene, La Carihuela draws locals and tourists for its weather along with the spectacular sea views, hutlike chiringuitos that serve local cuisines, and different water sports activities. Kiosks, rental services of sunbeds and water equiment such as pedal boats are available for every holidaymakers.

Benalmádena is one of the main tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol, famous for its leisure establishments, which include various amusement park, two aquariums, casino, a cable car, and one of the largest marinas in Andalucía.
Populated since the prehistoric times, Benalmádena underwent a remarkable development during the time of Muslim domination, a development that would later be paralyzed after its incorporation into the Crown of Castile in the year 1485, because of various natural distasters and the intense activity of the corsairs in the area. The cultivation of the vineyard and the paper industry would later reactivate the economy of Benalmádena during the 18th and 19th centuries, but the greatest demographic boom in its history would be caused by the growth of tourism from the second half of the 20th century.
The municipality's population boom began in the 50s with the development of mass tourism on the Spanish coast. During the time many established hotel, restaurants and businesses were opened, among these were Hotel Triton (1961), Tivoli World amusement park (1973), Torrequebrada casino and hotel (1979), Selwo Aquarium, Sea Life Aquarium, Cable car, Hotel Alay, and Chollocasa real estate agency. In the early 21st century, many more businesses were constructed. Parque de la Paloma is a more recent addition to the attractions, a landscape park with a large lake where visitors can interact with animals.
The coastal area of Benalmádena is known by the name Benalmádena Costa and concentrates of the bulk of hotel establishments. The Benalmádena Marina is found here, as well as the promenade that crosses the municipality from the limits with the neighboring municipalities.
