We booked Rancho Tipico online, first row at the Beach. Two person, two nights, breakfast include for 190 USD total.
Since we came from Punta Cana and it is a long ride, we decided to stay two nights. Absolutely worth it.
You can relax in the crystal clear water, read your favorite book, try the Stand up paddle board or set up your diving excursion. A must do is a tour to the Bahia aguilas. One of the most beautiful beaches of the world.
We enjoyed the stay at this incredible place.
If you come with your Car you can drive until the Rancho. If you traveling as a backpacker by bus, you can go to Pedernales and take a Taxi from there (around 3000 Dominican Peso June 2022) . Some people get off the Bus at the Entrance of Cabo Rojo and hope to catch a ride. Remember that the Last Village is Oviedo 37 KM away. Pedernales is only 10 KM away, but there is really just the Traffic that goes to the Bahía de Las Águilas.

One of the most beautiful untouched beaches in the Dominican Republic awaits you with this Bahía de las Águilas (Eagles Bay) Day Tour by plane from Punta Cana. Make the most of the stunning scenery within the Jaragua National Park, and the turquoise Carribean water.
Plane tickets, food, boat tour…This BahÍa de las Águilas Day Tour has it all! We’ll pick you up from your hotel between 6 and 7 am, then head to Punta Cana airport. We’ll get a flight lasting an hour and a half, and land in Cabo Rojo airport at 9 am.
We’ll get on a minibus and head to a ranch where we’ll enjoy breakfast with stunning views of the sea. Then we’ll get a speedboat, lasting 20 minutes, and cruise around the Dominican coastline to BahÍa de las Águilas.
Did you know that the Bahia de las Aguilas was chosen by the New York Times as one of the must-see destinations in the Dominican Republic? The 8-kilometre long beach, which belongs to the Jaragua National Park, is UNESCO protected. Once we reach land, you’ll be surprised by the crystal clear waters and the limestone rock mountains that wrap around the bay.
You’ll have two hours and a half of free time to sunbathe or swim carefree and enjoy the Carribean atmosphere. Then at 1:30 pm, we’ll head back to the speedboat to enjoy a buffet-style lunch including both alcoholic drinks FOR ADULT (rum and beer) and non-alcoholic drinks (water, soft drinks and juices). If you have any food allergies or dietary requirements you should state this at the time of booking.
After eating we’ll head to Cabo Rojo airport by minibus to board the plane and take off at 4:30 pm. The tour will end around 7 pm when we arrive back at your hotels in Punta Cana after a day full of beautiful landscapes.

This Bahía de las Águilas tour by plane includes pick up in the hotel areas of Bavaro and Punta Cana.
If you’re staying in another area you can go directly to Punta Cana airport at 7 am or pay an additional pick up supplement which you must pay by cash on the day of the activity.
For those staying in Uvero Alto and Bayahibe, you must pay a supplement per person.

Welcome to Part 2 of the series in The Dominican Republic. This Caribbean country has the best beaches, mountains, lush green jungle, waterfalls, salt lakes, vibrant culture and beautiful colonial towns. It's really worth it to escape from the luxurious hotels and explore the country. Last time you already saw our little family settle down on the beach in hotspot Punta Cana, but not too long since we’re road tripping the entire country. We explored the natural beauty of the Samaná peninsula. We went on a whaling expedition and hiked to the most awesome waterfall El Limón. On the country's best beach we were one with nature, at Playa Rincón.
This time we visit Bacardi Island, the best bounty island in the Bay of Samaná. From there we drove along the North Coast to Puerto Plata, which is the oldest town in all of the Americas. Cristoffel Columbus first set foot on land here! We top it off in Monte Cristi, close to the border with Haiti. The climate changes instantly as we see sand dunes and rocks everywhere. On El Morro we have the best views of the West in the Dominican Republic.
After this video you'll see us cruise the South Coast of the Dominican Republic. We’ll explore the salt mines in Salinas, enjoy freshly caught fish in Barahona and dive into the bluest waters of Bahía de las Águilas. Of course we'll also visit the Dominican capital Santo Domingo on the way.
Our trip to the Dominican Republic is part of a great tour along all the Caribbean islands. We'll continue island hopping all the way down to Trinidad and Tobago. First you'll see us cruising around the Dominican Republic for another two weeks. Next up will be Puerto Rico, Saint Martin, Anguilla, Saint Barth, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Grenada, Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago.

Dominican Republic is known for spots like Punta Cana and La Romana but there is so much more. Since I was a kid I've been wanting to go to Barahona and Bahia de las Aguilas but I've been putting is off since then. After watching a few other video about the region I decided to go. We start in Santo Domingo and head towards Bani where we find a dessert and a huge sand dune. After eating some mangos we head towards Playa San Rafael where we got our asses whipped by some waves. After that we were hungry so we went over to Los Patos for a bite. After a long drive we got into a done of cow traffic right before we spotted some wind mills. After that we made it Eco Del Mar, one of the most amazing hotels that in the southern region. We woke up the next morning and headed over to our destination... Bahia de las Aguilas! WHAT A TRIP!!! Caribbean beaches are the best.

We are driving to the West part of the island and we have to drive trough the capital, driving inside the city is a nightmare and crossing it can take anything from 1 up to 2 hours.
Santo Domingo is a specific city, you can see all sort of things on the road. for example if your air conditioning stop working it is very easy to find on the road somebody who can always fix it for you.
If you tired and thirsty there are always many people on the side of the road which are selling cheap and tasty coconut water
We decided to stop for the night just outside Barahona in hotel el maquito, if you decide to stop for the night on a journey like mine This hotel is a perfect place for you
We are heading back on the road and we still have around 4 hours to go.
Soon we will cross Paradise village in Translation Paraiso
This road is only one to head to West and personally I think this roads have the best views in the world
Im really interested to see how is the living in paradise so I decide to stop by for minutes and visit small hotel at the sea front. I do like it a lot and on my youtube channel you can find a full video from this place.
The location and the views are just amazing, imagine you wake up in the morning and view from your bedroom is like this.
this area is so attractive that shortly we are having another stop by the river. This place is a great example of living here in the area. People after work coming here to jump in to a fresh and cold water to enjoy music and local beer.
This is low populated area and my tip for you is to make sure you have cash with you and you will fill your car in the Barahona area because closer you are to national park there is no atm and no shops available to buy anything.
Finally we have riches the national park area, it is evening time and it is too late to go to Bahia de las aguilas beach so tomorrow morning we will go early these boats are for hire and price is including a person which will take you there. Tonight is going to be my first domino game and apparently im good because im always winning.
This eco place offers all tents located just a few steps from the water front. i have to say that views are even better in the morning, the beach is so clean and water crystal clear. My dream is to have a house on a beach, with peace and quiet and living with a bond with nature. Some say the dreams are coming true. As you see most of the furniture here are made simple and from natural materials. Even a bar is eco friendly. there is few places here to sit down and relax and this is what im going to do now.
Green Bananas Mangu with onion, caribbean type salami, eggs and bread. I strongly believe this is one of the best places to sit down and eat your breakfast. im going to enjoy my breakfast and you enjoy the views from the drone.
This is my favourite beach and is ticking all the boxes for me, crystal clear water, far away from everywhere and if the turtles are here this is just a confirmation that we are 100% in the nature.
Today is also our lucky day and we meet people who decide to share some food with us

Welcome to Part 3 of the series in The Dominican Republic. This Caribbean country has the best beaches, mountains, lush green jungle, waterfalls, salt lakes, vibrant culture and beautiful colonial towns. It's really worth it to escape from the luxurious hotels and explore the country. The best beach of the Dominican Republic, and maybe in the world, is Bahía de las Águilas. Check this out at the end of the video! Before we get there, you'll see us cruise the South Coast of the Dominican Republic. We explore the salt mines in Salinas, where we also walk the immense dunes that resemble a desert. We drive on to Barahona and enjoy freshly caught fish on the beach of this relaxed local town. Of course we'll also visit the Dominican capital Santo Domingo on the way back.
Last time you already saw our little family settle down on the beach in hotspot Punta Cana, after which we explored the natural beauty of the Samaná peninsula. We went on a whaling expedition and hiked to the most awesome waterfall El Limón. On the country's best beach we were one with nature, at Playa Rincón. We took a boat to Bacardi Island. From there we drove along the North Coast to Puerto Plata, which is the oldest town in all of the Americas. Cristoffel Columbus first set foot on land here! We top it off in Monte Cristi, close to the border with Haiti. The climate changes instantly as we see sand dunes and rocks everywhere. On El Morro we have the best views of the West in the Dominican Republic.
Our trip to the Dominican Republic is part of a great tour along all the Caribbean islands. We'll continue island hopping all the way down to Trinidad and Tobago. First you'll see us cruising around the Dominican Republic for another two weeks. Next up will be Puerto Rico, Saint Martin, Anguilla, Saint Barth, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Grenada, Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago.

Bahia de las Aguilas. TOP Beach to visit ???? in Dominican Republic.
Bahia de las Águilas is the center piece of The Jaragua National Park in Pedernales, on the southwest of the Dominican Republic. The largest protected natural area in the Caribbean. It spans across salty lakes, caves, virginal beaches, mangroves, wildlife/marine habitats, and subtropical dry forests.
This is the most spectacular beach Dominican Republic has to offer and #1 beach destination you must visit when coming to the DR. You first arrive to Cueva De Las Águilas where the entrance to the park is. The only business allowed there is the Racho Típico Cueva de las Águilas which is a restaurant and next to it is the Glamping Ecolodge Cueva De Las Águilas which we booked on their website There are no resorts or any big hotels there as it's a protected area. To keep our adventurous spirit on We decided to not take the usual pricey boat ride to the beach but instead walking about 3 miles to get there. Fee admission to the park is about 2.5 dollars per person.
Going to Bahia De Las Águilas it's been 1 Year in the making. This is the perfect gift my wife wanted for her birthday and was on jeopardy to be postponed. Caught a break from storm Fred which missed the south of the island and We were all was set for an unforgettable weekend. An unusual celebration in the best beach of the country. August 12th 5:00 AM from Santiago, We started a 7.5 hour drive.
Amazing views, hot weather and a very long drive but all worth it.

The Dominican Republic has the best beaches, mountains, lush green jungle, waterfalls, salt lakes, vibrant culture and beautiful colonial towns. Exploring Bahia de Las Aguilas Beach in the Dominican Republic
???? December 2016 ▶️ It is rare to find secluded beaches that also take your breath away at the same time. Bahia de Las Aguilas Beach in the Dominican Republic was one of those, it required a combination of hitch hiking and walking to reach as there is no direct road access. The reward was having an absolutely gorgeous beach just for ourselves and stay the night with an amazing sunset! ????

Cette vidéo a pour but de vous faire découvrir un nouvelle endroit de la République Dominicaine.
Chaque semaine, je vous partage un lieu typique, original et merveilleux.
Cette semaine, partons pour Bahia de Las Aguilas.
C'est une plage de 8 km de long, le long de la côte sud-ouest de la République dominicaine, près de la partie la plus au sud de la frontière avec Haïti. Il faut compter environ 8h de route depuis Punta Cana. L'eau est réputée pour être l'une des plus cristalline au monde! Pour moi, c'est l'une des plus belles plages au monde!
La route pour y aller est vraiment originale et remplie de surprises.
