The nature of Bulgaria | An aerial adventure in 4K
Bulgaria is one of the few countries with very well preserved nature: Three National parks, nine Nature parks and many reserves (two of them included in the UNESCO list).
The chain of the Central Balkan National Park, Pirin and Vitosha mountains National Parks, Rila mountain with many mountain reserves, Rhodope mountain and in the far Southeast Strandza Mountain National Park and the local reserves, with their perfect woods and huge cliffs. The greatest autumn and winter migration in Europe, when thousands of rare birds fly the so-called “Via Pontica” way, can be observed on the Black Sea coast.

This is one of the most STUNNING places in Bulgaria! If you are looking for off the beaten path sites in Bulgaria, where the locals go to vacation, look no further than the incredibly Rhodope Mountains in the south central part of Bulgaria. I went on an amazing 5 day road trip where I saw small villages like Gela and Devin, the ominous Devil's Throat Cave, went off-roading in a Jeep to Eagle's Eye Look Out and tried some amazing traditional Rhodopean food. Bulgaria's Natural Wonders - Timelapse & Travel Video
Beautiful lavender fields might be associated more with the Provence, region in France, however Bulgaria had become world leader in the production and export of lavender oil in recent years and that goes hand in hand with increased amount of lavender fields across the country. Vising lavender fields during peak time is a pure joy from visual perspective, enhanced by the mesmerizing lavender smell with sound of countless busy bees collecting lavender nectar for honey production.
It is certainly not only lavender fields that Bulgaria has to offer. It is a home to some of the most spectacular caves I've ever visited (and I've visited fair share of those). Maybe the most famous is Prohodna karst cave with two large holes resembling two giant eyes. Devetashka Cave is equally impressive with its amazing structure. When visiting Bridge of God (Boji most) natural phenomenon one wonders how this incredible natural formation was created in seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Vratsa Karst Nature Reserve covers an area of spectacular rocky slopes and outcrops with vertical rock walls of gorges. There are many great waterfalls to visit as well, might be Krushuna falls or Sitovo Waterfalls in Rhodope mountains.

If you are looking for jaw dropping nature and having finally decided to come visit Bulgaria (good for you), then you absolutely cannot miss the stunning Seven Rila Lakes National Park. This was one of the most beautiful hikes that I have ever done and it really highlighted just how much Bulgaria has to offer and how diverse it is. This Bulgaria travel vlog we start the trek from Vihren hut, the best place to start your treks and hikes from in the Pirin National park near Bansko. As full-time travelers, we like to escape the City when we can and get into nature. We are always looking for wildlife and came across what we thought was a hummingbird, instead, it turned out to be a hummingbird hawk moth. The Pirin mountains have lots of lakes and beautiful scenery. Highly recommend this if you travel Bulgaria. These are some of the most underrated treks in Europe.
