Brela is a small tourist town on the Makarska Riviera in Dalmatia, located about 15 km northwest of the town of Makarska. It has a long tradition in tourism, even in 1968 Brela was crowned as Champion of Adriatic for high achievements in tourist activity.
The symbol of Brela is Kamen Brela, a small stone island near the main beach Punta Rata in Brela. In 2004 the American magazine Forbes put the Punta Rata beach on the list of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world, where it ranked 6th in the world and 1st in Europe.
In Brela, you can enjoy the crystal clear sea, 6 km of natural pebbles beach, the smell and beauty of the dense pine forest, which is a cultural heritage, numerous hiking trails, and a spectacular view of the mountain Biokovo.

This is a Bike Tour of the Makarska Riviera. Starting at the promenade in Makarska and then making my way to Baska Voda and finally to Brela. Along the way I will go through alot of beaches that are not as packed but just as nice as the main beaches. I would highly recommend getting a bike if you are in the area or even to walk. Since these beaches are not as popular, a lot of them are nude beaches. If that is something you are into.

This is a Brela Makarska Riviera Croatia 4K video taken on September 2021. Last time I was here was in June just as the borders opened so I pretty much had the beaches to myself. Now in September, Brela was full of life again and most beaches were packed. The numbers in Croatia in terms of tourism had record highs for the summer. Much needed after the year we had.

I will start the walk just after the Kamen Brela, otherwise known as the Symbol of Brela and head towards Waikiki bar. Along the way you will see Podrace and Stomarica Beaches. The whole place is basically an entire beach and it is some of the best beaches in Croatia that I have been to, with crystal clear waters and the mountains in the background.
