It’s so iconic and historical and funny, and that’s why it’s worth going. The burger is pretty simple, but I do love how you serve your own toppings, and the pickles are delicious. Double Cheezborger - Price - $6.99
Au Cheval, Chicago, Illinois ( - We made it to one of the best burgers in all of America, Au Cheval. They take such care and art in preparing their burgers, and what I noticed is that every Chef specializes in one of the ingredients, and prepares is so carefully. It was assembled to perfection, and the harmony and balance of ingredients is what made it so good. I think the reason it was so good to me is that it was a real burger, nothing too fancy or not trying to add unique ingredients - it was just a burger that we all love, but taken to the next level. It really was the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. Single Cheeseburger, Egg, Bacon - Price - $24.97
Redhot Ranch, Chicago, Illinois ( - Another Chicago staple fast food burger comes from Redhot Ranch. Their burger is simple and to the point, smashed and loaded with flavor. Why Hoboken Is Obsessed With This Roast Beef Sandwich | Legendary Eats
Founded in 1913, Fiore's House of Quality specializes in classic Italian deli food, including heros, paninos, and other sandwiches without defined characterizations. One specialty at Fiore's is its roast beef and mutz hero, which is doused in gravy and has a roast beef to mutz ratio that is mostly mutz. Speaking of mutz - Fiore's makes theirs in-house everyday.
Also, if you used to watch NBC’s '30 Rock,' this sandwich might look familiar: It was featured on season 2 episode 14 Sandwich Day, where Liz Lemon had to scarf down the entire hero at airport security, after its container of gravy was deemed over the 3 oz limit. We go to Fiore's and interview the current owner, John Amato Sr., and customers about why this sandwich is so coveted.

Shady Maple Smorgasbord ( - When I heard about Shady Maple Smorgasbord buffet, there was no way I was going to leave Pennsylvania without going. It’s a massive, Amish Dutch food cooking, probably the greatest American country cooking buffet ever. Also something cool, it’s a 200 foot buffet!
From Philadelphia it was a little over an hour drive to Shady Maple Smorgasbord, which is pretty close to Lancaster, and it’s in the beautiful Amish countryside of Pennsylvania. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, you arrive to this massive buffet - it looks like the town is built around a buffet. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner, and we arrived just before the end of breakfast, to be able to eat both breakfast and lunch, as the food changes. Breakfast was amazing - any kind of Western food breakfast dishes you can imagine are available - pancakes, omelettes, toast, mountains of bacon, and biscuits and gravy. It’s amazing. They then switch to lunch, and I was even more excited for lunch. You can just pay the difference of breakfast - so actually you’re just paying the lunch price ($14.99 per person) and then be able to enjoy both breakfast and lunch. For lunch they have a huge menu of dishes, plus a few extra special dishes each day. On the day I went they had Beef Brisket, Smoked Pork Chops, Fried Shrimp, New York Strip & Delmonico Steak for the daily specials. You can check all the menus and pricing here:
I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty and how quality the food was, even cooked in large portions on a buffet. Really an incredible buffet eating experience, and that’s what makes it one of the most popular buffets and restaurants in Pennsylvania - every day it’s packed. A must eat Pennsylvania Dutch, Amish influenced food experience!

A Buffalo wing in the cuisine of the United States is a chicken wing section (wingette or drumette) that is generally deep-fried, unbreaded, and coated in vinegar-based cayenne pepper hot sauce and butter.They are traditionally served hot, along with celery sticks and/or carrot sticks with blue cheese for dipping.
