Noah’s Ark is in Kentucky! A Recap of the Ark Encounter Theme Park.
Completed in 2016, Ark Encounter is a Christian religious theme park located in Williamstown, Kentucky that features a massive 510-foot-long representation of Noah’s Ark from the Bible. The park is operated by the non-profit organization Answers in Genesis, a parachurch organization headquartered in Kentucky that advocates Young Earth creationism through a literal interpretation of the Book of Genesis.
When I visited the park, I was overwhelmed by the sheer size and magnitude of the ark replica. From a purely aesthetics and engineering perspective, it truly is quite remarkable. Answers in Genesis derived its design for the ark replica by converting the biblical cubit measurements found in Genesis 6:15 to modern measurements. Regardless of your faith background, Ark Encounter is definitely worth a visit.

My Ark Encounter
I had a chance to visit the Ark Encounter and enjoyed an extended meeting with Ken Ham as we discussed the incredible work of Answers in Genesis over the years. Witnessing the magnitude of the life-sized Noah's Ark in-person is truly a sight to behold. I also had the opportunity to share our burden of THE VAULT to protect ourselves against cancel-culture.
The thing that impressed me the most about my visit was learning how God brought the right people at the right time for the construction of this monumental project. Thankfully, we are seeing this demonstrated as well with the construction of the Vault. God is good.

We have talked about many places we want to see while we travel and The Ark Encounter is one of those places. We honestly didn't think we would get to Kentucky to see it this year just due to our travel path and all our pre set timelines to see family and friends. Well when the Hurricanes started popping up off the Florida coast it forced us to change our plans and head north instead of south into Georgia. We found a Thousand Trails in Kentucky and we were on the way. When we got there we looked at this we could do and The Ark was #1 on our list. It was quite a drive at just over two hours to get there but we knew it was worth it. When we arrived at The Ark we really wanted to know IS THIS PLACE AS GOOD AS THEY SAY. The Ark Encounter Overview - 2024 Williamstown, Kentucky
Come visit the world-class Ark Encounter in Northern Kentucky.
Ark Encounter
Join us on our tour of The Ark Encounter. It is located in Williamstown, Kentucky. Do not depend on your GPS to get you there. It is right off of I75 and their signage is very lacking, however, it is very much worth the trip. This was built to the specifications in the Bible to replicate Noah’s Ark. It is essentially a history museum of the Biblical ark. The ark is massive! It is 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high. You have to see it in person to appreciate how very large it truly is. It has 3.3 million board feet of timber, and is the largest timber-framed structure in the world. There is a small zoo, a restaurant, a village with various shops, a zip line, and the Answers Center which is like the welcome center. There is a lot to do on the grounds. Definitely wear your walking shoes because you will walk a lot! Video definitely does not do this place justice. Places inside the ark were very dark making video recording extremely difficult. Even after lightening the video during editing, it was still very dark in some of the footage. This is truly a wonder to see! We highly recommend!
