■History of the hotel
Aman Venice's roots lie in The Palazzo Papadopoli, built in the mid-16th century.
The Palazzo Papadopoli was built in the mid-16th century by the Coccina family, commissioned by architect Giangiacomo dei Grigi, son of Guglielmo dei Grigi. The Coccina family, originally from Bergamo, had just joined the Venetian nobility at the time. And the palace was completed by his 1570 year.
In 1748, the palace passed into the hands of the Tiepolo family. In 1745, the palace and the remaining painting collection were sold to the elector of Saxony for his 100,000 zecchini. The painting was moved to the Alte Meister of Dresden. In the 1700s, the piano nobile was decorated by Giandomenico Tiepolo with frescoes of the Impostor and Minuet. It is estimated that his father, Giambattista Tiepolo, also painted one side of the ceiling around 1750.
This palace was founded during the 19th century. Ownership passed from Valentino Comello to his Austrian general and diplomat, Bartholomäus von Stürmer, in 1837. His wife Maddalena Montalban was imprisoned by the Austrians for a year.
In 1864, the palace was gifted to wealthy bankers and Greek counts Niccolò and Angelo Papadopoli. The latter bought a number of adjoining buildings and created a large garden with wings behind it. The family was originally from Corfu and entered the nobility in 1791.
From 1874 to 1875, the palace was home to Girolamo Levi, who, together with Michelangelo Guggenheim and Cesare Rotta, completed a neoclassical renovation with a garden. I was there. Lotta painted frescoes in the banquet hall.
In 1922, Arrivabene Valenti was succeeded by the family of Arrivabene Valenti Gonzaga.
In 2011, the palace was converted into Aman Venice, an ultra-luxury hotel operated by Aman Resorts. The interior was designed by Jean Michel Gathy and supported by Mr Denniston's team.
Aman Venice opened in June 2013 and is Italy's first Aman resort. It is still widely regarded as the best hotel in Venice.

These range in age from 200 to over 700 years old. Besides, many of these grand palazzos were once private homes of the wealthiest families in the city.
Throughout the city, physical reminders of the Republic of Venice's history and wealth demonstrate the artistry found during this great city's heyday. Tour anywhere in the city to see the many statues, fountains, and other public art that are all unique to this wonderful city. In one of these old, regal homes along the Grand Canal, you can find the Aman.
Aman Venice fuses the excellent service and hospitality that Aman resorts are famous for with a legendary city's history and romance to provide arguably the best hotel in Venice. Guests typically arrive via boat, docking at a landing that will take them straight to the Reception Hall of this grand palazzo to check into their luxury hotel.
The hall offers a truly Venetian feel with historic frescoes, soaring ceilings, and reliefs to give a deep sense of luxury from a bygone era. The Hall, designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, also offers direct access to the resort's private gardens and the boutique. A sweeping staircase will take guests up two floors to reach the dining room overlooking the Grand Canal, where guests can enjoy fine Italian cuisine. This is on the grandest floor of the palazzo, the piano nobile.
The main dining room is in the ballroom, which features the original chandeliers, frescoes, and mirrors in a gilded room that once hosted grand parties. Two other dining rooms are named for their color scheme. The Blue Dining Room and the Yellow Dining Room are adjacent to the ballroom. They offer views overlooking the canal grande and the Garden Terrace.
Each room has several dining tables and ceilings painted by the 18th Century artist Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. These gorgeous rooms offer an intimate dining experience set with truly grand surroundings.
The bar can be accessed from the ballroom, a cozy setting to enjoy a drink while enjoying a lovely canal view. Mind you, and guests are free to enjoy a drink or dining wherever they like. However, the views of the Grand Canal from the terrace aren't to be missed while enjoying a drink or meal. A secondary staircase rises from the dining room reception area to lead to the salon.
The salon is a regal lounge with lofty ceilings and a relaxation area with a grand piano. The salon is divided into two areas with large windows to give views of the Grand Canal. The historic library offers similar views and is located near the salon.
This hotel features a neo-renaissance style to give this once private home a luxurious feel unique to Venice.
Suppose you are looking for a feeling of calm serenity, head down to the spa. You can receive treatments like oxygen facials and foot treatments to treat tired feet after walking to see the many sights found close to the hotel.

Unforgettable Luxury Wedding at Aman Venice: Dreamy Decorations in a Historical Palace
A dreamy wedding in Italy at the luxury hotel Aman Venice. Choose this unique wedding venue for an unforgettable experience with your guests and let us help you create a fabulous decoration!
The symbolic ceremony at the Aman Venice Hotel was organized in a ballroom with big windows overlooking the Grand Canal and we created a huge arch made of white baby’s breath, a white runner on the floor starting with two big glass vases and passing through rows of glass chairs decorated with small bouquets of gypsophila. After the ceremony, the wedding dinner was inside the majestic ballroom of this ancient Venetian palace, a luxury room decorated with frescoes, Murano-glass chandeliers and mirrors. Two long imperial tables were entirely covered with white roses and candles: the attention to all the details created the perfect setting for a memorable private dinner at the Aman Venice Hotel!
