This is what its like flying Air Tahiti Nui airlines from Los Angeles, CA to Papeete, Tahiti. Along this amazing 4,000 mile journey both Jessica and I enjoyed sitting in the newly remodeled Poerava Business Class cabin. It was a smooth 8 hour ride flying in this Airbus A340. When we landed, we received a nice French Polynesian welcome at the airport.

Tahitian Dreamliner: Air Tahiti Nui - The Most Exotic 787
I hopped on an Air Tahiti Nui Boeing 787 Dreamliner from Auckland to Papeete, French Polynesia. Air Tahiti Nui 787 is the most colorful and the most exotic 787 I’ve flown. Flight attendants gave out tiara flowers to passengers. The flight was an immersive experience of Tahitian culture.
I literally traveled back in time and gained a day by flying from the earliest time zone (New Zealand) to the last timezone (Tahiti) by crossing the dateline on this flight. Tahiti is located in the middle of the South Pacific with isolation. The nearest diversion point is Cook Island. As a nice welcome, Polynesian music was performed after landing at Papeete Faa’a International Airport.
I spent a day exploring the island of Papeete by visiting a waterfall and spending some time planespotting. Next week, I will fly on Air Tahiti domestically to explore the Tahitian Islands of Huahine and Bora Bora.

This video is documents our travels from FAAA Airport in Papeete, Tahiti to our home destination in Los Angeles, CA. We flew Air Tahiti Nui Airlines flight #8 which departed at 7:50 am and arrived at LAX 8 hours later. We were pleased to fly Poerava Business Class during the flight and so this video includes some of the breakfast/dinner options that we experienced.

Ok, I realize that flying Air Tahiti Nui from Los Angeles to Paris is doing it wrong, but I couldn’t resist. The best Air Tahiti Nui experiences are for flights that end up in Tahiti, but this was a decent flight - especially for the low price that I paid for it.
This is footage from TN8, just a few days before it was switched from an A340-300 to a 787-9. I was seated in 22D for this 10 hour flight, and the aircraft registration was F-OSUN.

It was finally my turn to fly out of Tom Bradley International Terminal (LAX) and join my wife and daughter in New Zealand. LAX is our go-to airport for international travel, so in this video, I'll be sharing some invaluable advice about flying out of this bustling hub.
This video is the first part of an exciting two-part series chronicling my adventure flying to New Zealand with Air Tahiti Nui! Let me tell you, my flight with Air Tahiti Nui was pretty great. The food served onboard was delicious, and the entertainment options were perfect, offering a wide selection of captivating choices.

Air Tahiti Nui Business Class B787 Dreamliner Review | From Auckland to Papeete to LAX with 1 ticket
I recently had the opportunity to fly in Air Tahiti Nui's Business Class on their B787 Dreamliner, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The journey took me from Auckland to Papeete, and then on to Los Angeles, all with the convenience of a single ticket.
The departure date was 5/18/2023 and 5/30 to Los Angeles.
