Abandoned 13th Century Chateau With EVERYTHING Left Inside!!!
Perched on a hill just on the outskirts of a small French village, is an abandoned chateau that’s been a well-kept secret for many years.
Dating back to the 13th century, this chateau was originally the home of a nobleman and over the course of almost 900 years, and many generation of heirs, it’s been the home of countless occupants including knights, lords, barons, and even a well known French poet during the 20th century.
This fortified castle was originally constructed with a drawbridge and a moat, but they since disappeared over the years and sometime during the Renaissance period, 12 barrel vaulted stables were added, along with renovations at the beginning of the 20th century.
It’s unclear exactly when this place became abandoned but it’s speculated the last known family to live here was during the late 1980’s. We can only assume this castle, like so many others in this part of the world, has been neglected because of the staggering cost of maintaining a 900 year stone structure.
And so, the future of this once illustrious castle is unclear, as it continues to slowly decay and take on the devastation of nature’s unrelenting hand. So let’s step inside this mysterious castle and let’s unveil for the first time ever, what’s hidden within its stone walls.

STORY:
In a small village, secluded from the main road, Manoir de Auteur. For generations, the family has significantly shaped the small community's fortunes. The manor has more barrels of land than the eye can see, and the whole city is actually built on the ground owned by the manor. The last generation who lived in the manor was not so much for agriculture and they rented all the land away. The man was an author and spent most of his life sitting at the desk and writing novels. However, none of them were ever released. The lady of the manor was a nurse and together they had 4 children. Twin boys and a boy and a girl more. The family never lacked anything because of the income from all the land that was rented out and the sale of the grounds on which the city was built, and when the children were leaving home, apartments were bought for all of them in Paris, where they still live today. 15 years ago the man died after a blood clot in the heart and the wife lived alone on the old manor for a few years until she also died. After the parents' death, the children met in the house and gathered the things they wanted to sell/keep. In order to be able to keep renting the land out instead of selling it, the manor house must remind and not be demolished. So they knocked large wooden planks on all the doors and bricked the last one, and then left their childhood home for the last time. That was how the manor stood for a number of years, at one time there was water damage in one part of the house, and the children started a renovation to avoid everything would rot. And this was where the manor house was opened for Urban Explores. One of the craftsmen opened the kitchen window to vent a little while he was working and forgot to close it again afterward.

Urban Exploration: Untouched Abandoned Manor in the Czech Republic with Everything Still Inside
Secluded and lonely we discovered an abandoned manor-house in the rural part of the Czech Republic. On the last day of our road trip in May 2019, we were investigating the disappearing of a whole family. From one day to the next everything was simply left behind here some years ago and the residents of this big villa vanished into the night. Today, time stands still. It took us a while until we finally found an entrance but as we made it inside, we immediately set out on a search for clues. How is it possible that people leave their home permanently and neither take any valuables nor the items with sentimental value? Follow us to see what's left behind and to hear the story of this fascinating but yet really strange place. #urbex #abandonedplaces #bwturbex

Abandoned 19th century Mansion of a wealthy Factory Owner | Urbex Lost Places Italy
Villa Scorpio was built at the end of the 19th century on a beautiful property in a city. The Owner was a wealthy factory owner, I don't know who owns it now though.
Unfortunately decay and rot have found it's way into the empty but beautiful building where parts of the top floors have already collapsed.

Somewhere in France, we found an old house frozen for 100 years now, with the vintage furnishings still left inside. Today, the former home of a taxidermist resembles a cabinet of horror - with deceased animals everywhere that were turned into decorations ages ago. In this video, in a group of four, we set out to learn the story of this place. Everywhere in the rural areas of France, there are these derelict châteaux - small castle-like estates that were once homes of the wealthy. But wealth is only temporary, and this is what remains: A time capsule that allows us to see firsthand how people were living their lives 100 years ago. In today's episode, we are reading letters from the era of World War One. We are showcasing valuable furniture and old items you can normally only find in museums. In this episode the BWT crew and The Proper People are exploring an 600-year-old palace together. Over the course of the centuries this building complex was in possession of a famous Italian noble family. Generations of warlords spent many years of their lives here using the building as hunting lodge. The last resident however was an engineer and artist. Still today you can find plenty of his belongings like paintings and sculptures. For us personally this mansion is so impressive that it already appears unreal. We're always surprised about the hidden and almost untouched time capsules we're able to discover on our adventures!
