Very easy to reach by bus; from Salzburg bus station and then a bus up to Bad Durrnberg.
We arrived early...no line at all. We were able to drive slow and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. It was Incridible :)

The longest Alpine slide in Salzburg area it's an easy 30-minute drive from Salzburg. Keltenblitz is located very close to Hallein Salt mines which makes it a perfect getaway from Salzburg for both adventures.
With his 2,2 km of fun and excitement it is a very nice experience for the whole family.

Alpine Slide - With Not Enough Brakes!! (Double FAIL POV)
I am well-known on YouTube for riding alpine coasters with 'no brakes' - however this video is a warning about trying the same approach with some Alpine Slides - i.e. the ones that run in a trough like a toboggan. I have ridden many alpine slides at full speed, but just occasionally you find a slide that needs a little more respect!
This video features two different POVs of an alpine slide which deserves total respect. It's a long track, one of the longest in fact, but I crashed...twice...on the same run! I was clearly riding with not enough brakes!! I ended up with some nasty scrapes (see photos at the end of the video), internal bruising, plus some muscle strains that will take a few weeks to heal. So, enjoy the video, but don't try this at home!

Alpine Slide (On-ride HD POV) - Attitash Mountain Resort
The two Alpine Slides at Attitash Mountain Resort in New Hampshire have been thrilling riders for over 40 years. It's one of the longest alpine slide tracks in the world and it's a real thrill ride. Unlike alpine coasters (where the car is fixed to a track) these alpine slides involve a lot more skill and judgement as you can capsize or leave the track if you go too fast. Here is my ride down the alpine slide, filmed with the kind permission of the resort.

Kandersteg Alpine Slide, Switzerland
Thankful for the opportunity to ride the Alpine Slide in Kandersteg. Located at the top of the Oeschinensee Gondala Lift, this amazing 4 min ride is a must do while in Switzerland. Costing only 5 franc per ride, this tiny coaster has all the thrills and views.

On a beautiful summer day in 2018, we decided to travel towards Hallein and visit the Keltenblitz Alpine Slide. While there, we had a few beers at the Zinkenstüberl. My wife is terrified of heights and speed but even she couldn't get over how beautiful it was and how enjoyable the ride down was! Mom and dad went, too. Mom received special treatment from the attendant who was very pleasant and I'm somewhat positive she nearly stayed.
