Walk around Ranua Zoo/Wildlife Park, July 2021. Ranua Wildlife Park (Finnish: Ranuan eläinpuisto) is a zoo that opened in 1983 in the municipality of Ranua, Lapland, Finland. As of 2021 it is the northernmost zoo in Finland and the second in the world. The zoo's animals consist of approximately 50 wild animal species and 200 individuals, including top predators such as lynx, brown bears and wolves but also European moose and deers. The zoo has Finland's only polar bears in artificial snow.

Ranua Wildlife Park is a zoo for Arctic animals. Lot of interesting arctic animals here with extensive descriptions.
It is a great Zoo to visit and discover only local and native wildlife. Some of the animals are being nursed back to good health such as the owls, others are simply amazing such as the polar bears, wolverine, wolves etc.. where a spectacular and intriguing sight!
The zoo is pretty in Winter blanketed in snow.
You can easily spend 2 hours there including watching the feeding of the bears and few more animals.
The trail itself is very slippery during winter, a pair of spike shoe is reccommended (please refer to video clip). It can be purchased over the Reception Counter.
The Fazer Chocolate Store in the zoo also was good for buying exclusive Finnish chocolates ????????????????????????.
Best of all is the Ice Bar half way through the zoo offering cold and hot drinks ????☕ in the middle of the winter.

Ranua zoo was opened in 1983 at Ranua, Lapland Finland. It is northern most zoo in the world. At the Ranua Wildlife Park, there are polar bears and also 50 different other arctic animal species.

Polar bear Ranzo and his mom Venus are enjoying the arrival of the first snow and ice! Ranua Zoo is located 80 km South from Rovaniemi and there are about 200 different animals of 50 species living in deluxe conditions in the middle of the forest.

Wildlife park is great experience for the whole family throughout the year. Come and meet Venus the polar bear, Malla the brown bear and wolverines Khurma and Julle!
Ranua Resort’s wildlife park specializes to arctic animals and wildlife park was opened in 1983. The animals live in spacious fencings in the midst of northern wide forests, in as authentic natural environment as possible.
There are about 50 different arctic and northern animal species, and about 150 individuals.

Located in Ranua, Finland, Ranua Wildlife Park is home to 51 arctic animal species, including polar bears, beavers, wolverines, and snowy owls.
The animals live in the large enclosures in the forests. Established in 1981, the zoo is open every day of the year.
During winter the zoo is covered with snow. It is beautiful but it can also be slippery in some parts. If you visit the zoo during winter time, I would recommend you to wear spikes on your winter shoes, otherwise you can also just walk slowly. I had to slide down in some parts as it was slippery. It was fun, though.
