A Journey Through Mongolia (Full Length Documentary)

Mongolia! A Journey through Mongolia is a travel documentary from our one month trip through the great expanses of the Mongolian plains.

We started the trip with a few days in Ulaanbaatar to experience the sprawling metropolis. We also had a chance to go to Hustai National Park not far from UB to see the last remaining wild horse, the Takhi. Then we went on a ten day adventure to go live with the Tsaatan Reindeer Herder tribe in the very north on the border of Siberia. This was an incredible experience and it was very demanding with multiple days on horseback after a long strenuous multi-day 4WD trip. After a short recovery we went to the eastern part of the country to the Bayan-Ölgii Province to attend the Golden Eagle Festival. This festival has really been the focus of the Mongolian travel in recent time, very much because of Aishol-pan the Eagle Huntress. We had a chance to meet this incredible girl who is certainly an inspiration to women across the world. After the festival we went and lived with an eagle hunter family deep in the Altai Mountain Range.

???????? Mongolia: a travel documentary

#Mongolia #Travel #Documentary

An adventure into an amazing country. 4 seasons packed into 15 days

The Summer: the Gobi is not just a desert. Is a unique region comprising of mountains, sand dunes, grass lands and flat pans. Life here is though not only physically (due to the arid climate) but also mentally: before reaching the mountains and the dunes, the so-called middle Gobi is an immense flat pan with no landmarks for miles. It's mental as it seems to be in an infinite area that will never end.

The Spring: the Orhon valley. This is the Mongolia typical postcard. Green land and blue sky dotted with white ghers (the local typical tents) and clouds. Full of livestock, every valley in the region shows the nomadic life of Mongolians that has been going on for centuries. In the town of Karkhorin, very little ruins bring your mind to the era of Chinggis Khan when Mongolians run for more than two centuries the largest empire that ever existed in human history.

The Autumn: as we moved North to reach the Hovsgol lake, we had to pass through a range of mountains. The weather turned rainy, grey and cold as if we were on a November day in Europe. Crossing rivers started to became a concern and mud appeared on all trails. Rain never stopped for 2 days.

The Winter: on the highest pass the rain became snow. On the Zoolongyin pass, we got stuck with our cars for more than 3 hours. Trying to get the cars out of the snow and mud was though. Eventually we did manage to get over.

The Spring again: lake Hovsgol is Mongolian's largest lake and beach holiday place. Here we abandoned the green Mongolian valley to enter the Taiga, the coniferous forest. We are close to the border with Russian Siberia here

JOURNEY into MONGOLIA

My new sound effect pack :) -
I went on a solo adventure into western Mongolia with Indy Guide ( to explore what this amazing part of the country had to offer and visit the eagle hunters of the region, I was not disappointed. The views were on another level, especially in the Altai mountains but the Kazahk people were just extremely welcoming and open which made the experience one to remember. Staying with a different family each night, experiencing their daily routines and eating and drinking with them. We continued to make our way around the west, attending the Nauryz eagle festival and exploring some of the snowy mountains in the Altai by horseback. Filming my adventure through Mongolia was extremely tough, we were on the move constantly and electricity is hard to come by so I relied on power banks a lot to charge my camera, being from Africa i'm not used to temperatures as low as -20 degrees celsius during this time of the year and of course the language barrier but I thoroughly enjoyed the every moment and it was one of the most raw feelings of travel I have experienced.

Thanks to Ati Tosun from Indy-Guide for making this trip such a success in terms of an adventure, I hope this video gives a small insight into what is to be expected when visiting this part of the world.

With one of the lowest population densities in the world, this country is almost completely
engulfed by pristine natural landscapes. It is composed of endless swathes of untouched
spaces, punctuated by the occasional hut or a herd of sheep.
Very few countries in the world have a rich, albeit complicated history like this one. From the
imperialist reign of the fierce Genghis Khan whose kingdom stretched from the edges of Eastern
China to Persia, to the intertwined Communist rule, this paradise on Earth has seen a lot.#traveldestinations2022 #travel2022 #travelguide

Daily life in Mongolia. The Desert Country / How People Live / The People

My trip to Mongolia went through the Gobi Desert and off-road to the only city - Ulan Bator and was as extreme as possible. How people live in a country where there are still only 3 asphalt roads throughout the country, many live in the middle of the desert with camels. In order not to freeze in winter, some have to dig homemade artisanal mines, from where they sometimes do not return. Trees in this country hardly grow. I have visited the desert, mine, yurt and the largest city - the capital Ulan Bator.

Reindeer People I SLICE I Full documentary

In Northern Mongolia, a sacred alliance exists between people, ancestor spirits and reindeer. We are invited in a family of Dukha reindeer nomads during their migration through the forests of Mongolia's Hovsgol province. The oldest Dukha, is a divine seer, a 96-year old shaman, called Tsuyan. She is the link between the healing songs of the forest ancestors, her people and their reindeer. To live in harmony with them, people had to learn to respect nature and animals and to pass down their beliefs, from generation to generation, by invoking the song-lines of their deceased ancestors.

I am Grace on Tour and travel has been my biggest passion ever since I can remember. My very first international trip was done two weeks after I was born. In the summer of 2018 I started posting on this channel as I set off on a trip around Asia before studying a semester in Taiwan. During this time my love for travel grew and I tried to travel to new places during my weekends off from university. Throughout uni I made travel a priority and worked multiple side jobs to fund my travels. After doing my thesis in Hong Kong I graduated in June 2019. At this point I decided to take a gap year and go traveling. My goal was to visit as many countries as possible. I soon realized that travel is what I love and wan´t to keep on doing. I now dream of visiting every country in the world.

In The Land Of The Nomads (Mongolia) Vacation Travel Video Guide

Travel video about the Nomads in Mongolia
Protected by endless deserts and untouched landscapes, an exotic and fascinating civilisation has managed to survive right up to the present day. In Central Asia is the land of the nomads, Mongolia, once a legendary and feared realm yet one that is full of natural beauty. Today’s capital of Ulaanbaatar, or Red Corner, was some centuries ago nothing more than a small nomad settlement but now around a million people live there, one third of the country’s population. The name Genghis Khan is synonymous with Mongolia. Under the leadership of this legendary monarch, the Mongols established the largest empire in history, a realm that extended across large areas of Asia, possessed more than a hundred million subjects and created a new high season of culture. About an hour from Ulaanbaatar in Tov Province is the calm and tranquil, Manzushir, a charming area that is totally different to the densely populated metropolis. In addition to several tent-like huts, or gers, it is mainly the centuries old scattered remains from the high season of Buddhism that capture the attention. The landscape enchants with its exotic splendour. Since 1997 the Khogno Khan Nature Reserve has been protected. It is part of the province of Bulgan one of twenty one provinces known as aimags. The natural landscape is beautiful, which is hardly surprising as Mongolia is the most sparsely settled country in the world. Hunting with eagles is both common and traditional. Each October before the hunting season begins a popular eagle hunting festival takes place in Bayan Oglii. The birds with which the Kazakhs hunt are golden eagles that have a wing span of more than two metres. Mongolia is truly a land of nomads, wonderful wilderness, unspoiled landscapes, centuries old traditions as well as fascinating cultural treasures and sanctuaries.
