A Camino de Santiago Story - From Above | 4k | Travel | Spain

For more information:
IG:

For many years, I dreamed of walking the Camino de Santiago, waiting for the right time and the right opportunity. I often thought that my moment would never arrive as I got caught up in my busy and hectic life.

I was lucky to take this special journey and walk the camino, almost 900km, from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port all the way to Finisterre, meeting incredible people along the way from all over the world.

It was amazing meeting such an assortment of individuals, with diverse cultures, languages, with varied life experiences, joined together by a singular goal - to complete the walk to Santiago de Compostela, all in one piece and, hopefully, with a few more answers about life’s questions.

Along with my Camino walk, I have been asked - what made you want to walk the Camino, Did you find the answers you were looking for. There is no doubt that a journey like this, literally walking hundreds of kilometers, sometimes alone and sometimes with friends, gives one the opportunity for self-reflection – asking questions about who you are and who you have become – something that we do not have the luxury of doing in our day to day lives. I loved the opportunity to think, to process,
but mostly, I loved the opportunity to hear my friend's stories, their lives journey, experiences, good moments and the sad ones.

Whether you chose to walk the Camino de Santiago to overcome the death of a close friend or loved one, you lost your job or sold a business, you were heartbroken, you were on a religious pilgrimage or a student in between school semesters, what was truly inspiring for me was the openness of people around me, who willingly shared their stories – their highs and lows, heartbreaks, and joys. Listening to my friends and sharing my own stories has given me a very new perspective about the importance of cherishing special life moments and appreciating the little things in life.

I was privileged to be part of a group of individuals from around the world who chose an incredibly challenging journey that, by its nature, was soul searching and spiritually uplifting.

And as for me – Did I find the answers I was looking for?
What I realized is that I don’t need to find all the answers. The Camino taught me an important lesson – It's not about reaching the destination or goal, it’s the journey that is important. Finding the answers will just make my life journey - BORING.

And to all of you - Buen Camino and thank you for being part of my journey. You made my trek of the Camino so special. Each one of you affected me in a different way and I will always treasure our special moments

Finding Our Way - The Camino de Santiago Documentary

A pilgrimage for both the body and mind - the Camino de Santiago is really something special. This documentary shows how we found our way, the hard way.

We walked the Camino Frances in August 2021. We had no idea the impact that it would have on us and spent many of our days looking forward to its end. Six months later, we are still talking about our time on the Camino and its impact on us. We had no idea that the Camino was exactly the journey we needed and would continue to teach us life lessons to this day.

Pray and Go to the Ends of the Earth. Camino de Santiago.

Please share with others.

The author, Krzysztof Jaxa-Kwiatkowski, made a lonely walking pilgrimage, along the Camino de Santiago Way - the Way of Saint James, from his home in Krakow, Poland, to the door of the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela in Spain, and further to Cabo Fisterra (the medieval, symbolic End of the Earth), in the traditional Christian door-to-door form, covering 3,469 kilometers.

The documentary Pray. And go to the ends of the earth ” is a retrospective and reflective story from a four-month lonely walking journey through six European countries.

This documentary is the editing result of short videos and photos from the journey, provided with the author's narration.

The film focuses mainly on self-discovery, personal search for hope and a deeper relationship with God, as well as the pilgrimage aspect of loneliness that can strengthen this bond. It also mentions Angels and demons, whose presence every Pilgrim will, sooner or later, sense within and without, i.e. both in their souls and in the outside reality.

This documentary also tells the viewers about the meaning of inner exploration and traveling on The Way through the author's experience of everyday life, his adventures and people encountered on the trail.

The film is not only the author's testimony. Its purpose is to inspire other Pilgrims to embark on their journey along the Way of St. James and to introduce spiritual/religious practice into their everyday lives.

The picture is accompanied by great music Boże Granie by the Uwierz Miłości Foundation.

Camino de Santiago to Finisterre - the End of the World

#CaminoDeSantiago #caminodesantiago Walking to the end of the ancient world along the Camino de Santiago. A UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our ninth year walking takes us from the historic city of Santiago de Compostela to Finisterre and the mystical chapel on the sea at magical Muxia. The video tries to capture the stunning views of the trail and the wonderful places and people we meet along the Way. We hope you enjoy.

OUR VIDEO IS DEDICATED TO THE MANY PEOPLE IN SPAIN AND ELSEWHERE AFFECTED BY THE COVID19 PANDEMIC. YOU ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS.

The journey to Muxia took 5 days and a little over 120km (130km with some accidental detours :-)

Day 1 - Santiago to Negreira (21km)
Day 2 - Negreira to Olveiroa (34km)
Day 3 - Olveiroa to Cee (20km)
Day 4 - Cee to Finisterre (15km) (excluding 4km to the lighthouse)
Day 5 - Finisterre to Muxia (30km) (excluding a 6km inadvertent detour :-)

The Route of Santiago has been a meeting place for its pilgrims ever since it emerged some eleven centuries ago. It has facilitated a constant cultural exchange between the pilgrims and the communities through which they pass. Long may it continue!

The Camino Finisterre-Muxía, walking to the end of the world

A short recap of our walk on the Camino Finisterre-Muxía from Santiago de Compostela, an extension of the Camino de Santiago that takes pilgrims to Cape Finisterre and/or Cape Muxía. In the old times, Cape Finisterre was considered to be the end of the known world. Nowadays it's a beautiful route that takes pilgrims to the wild coast of Northern Spain and offers fantastic scenery. The weather in this part of the country is very unpredictable and can surprise you anytime.

A Camino de Santiago story for people feeling lost in life

As a child, I remember assuming adults had life figured out, but the older I get, the more I realize nobody has a clear idea of what's going on. Tomorrow, the 6th of January, I'm turning 30 and I decided to publish this video for whoever relates to the feeling of sometimes being lost in life.
I hope this story can help you guys somehow.

Camino de Santiago, My Way to Santiago de Compostela & The End of The World - a 1600km long journey.

Camino de Santiago - The Way of St James - via Podiensis
This is my story about My Way to Santiago de Compostela and The End of The World.
An over 1600 km long journey.
I walked the Way of St James ( via Podiensis, Chemin de Compostelle) and started
in Le Puy-en-Velay, France , Easter 2017.
After I had walked to Saint Jean Pied de Port, I continued over the Pyrenees and along Camino Frances to Santiago de Compostela (Galicia Spain) and ended my hike at Cabo de Finisterre. (Fisterra in Galician)

Before I started my hike, I was looking for information about how it might be to make a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. And I discovered that video clips that I found on YouTube were inspiring and helpful. So I want to do similar to others that are planing to walk a Camino.
That's why I share my hike so that you who need information or inspiration can get it through my film.

This video is 3 hour long and I have mixed photos and video clips. It's not focused on tourism, it's more a film about life on the road. I also tells short stories from thing that happen to me during my Camino.

I learned a lot about myself and others and about life itself during my Camino.
And you can see in the video how I was changed in body and mindset.

I hope you will enjoy watching.

If you don't have the opportunity to watch the entire video from beginning to end at once,
I will below give you some notes on times where different steps can be found.

3 Lessons I Learned Walking the Camino De Santiago

Today we go over 3 Lessons I learned Walking the Camino De Santiago! Thank you so much for watching, if you liked the video, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe if you haven't already!

Part 1: The WHY - Camino De Santiago 2023 | Vlogumentary | Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Pamplona

Each year thousands of pilgrims start the ancient route from the beautiful small French village of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and walk ~790km to reach the end in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. The Camino de Santiago has been a popular pilgrimage since the 8th century. It's often said that you don't find the route but instead you answer the call of the Camino. People walk the Camino for different reasons - some for religious reasons, others try to find their purpose in life, for the physical challenge, the wine, to discover the local culture or recover from a serious personal event.

This first episode follows the start of the journey for me and my bae. We are a couple who left our well-paid IT jobs and the comfort of the big city to find our own meaning in life... and maybe MORE. As we meet with other pilgrims who walk the Camino way, we will try to create a series of portraits and find their WHY.

Follow the yellow arrows with us!

The Entire Camino In 10 Minutes

I couldn't record a new video this week due to a family emergency, but we still wanted to try something different. Is this format something you would be interested in seeing more in the future? I know most subscribers aren't interested in the Camino, but it's kind of a cool challenge trying to tell such a long story in only 10 minutes without a bunch of boring exposition. I'll definitely keep making series and long movies for my future hikes, too, but I like trying new things. I am interested in hearing your thoughts!

Landscapes photos) Peace Walking, 775km. El Camino de Santiago Story To The End of the World the Way

Land view photos only! If you need a guide book for Camino, FYI, in 2016, I wrote a book about this Camino trip on Amazon KDP which is still available at whose title is Santiago where the wind greets you: Pilgrimage road to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

If you know how much I love you, you’d cry of joy.

Exactly ten years ago, on a summer day, I was walking through the Tibetan Himalayas. I walked with a very painful headache from altitude sickness, along the muddy trails, chitchatting with my Chinese friends in the mountain rain. I remember one day I took off in a car and sped without any direction, suddenly surprised by the unforgettable scenery of a lake and mountains, reflected by the glow of sunset.

It was ten years ago that I was touched to tears by the impression of Dalai Buddhists, who walked hundreds and thousands of kilometers from the door of their house to the Tibetan capital, Lhasa. And ten years later this summer, I am walking to Santiago de Compostela on two clay shoes and it has been over 30 days so far.

(About the Book at Amazon: )

“We have to be brave to say hello and also to say goodbye.

This is one of the things that I learned from Camino de Santiago: because we were heading to the same destination, we could become friends in the same boat. But as time went, we slowly recognized that one day we should say goodbye and go our own way after the pilgrimage. It was difficult to say goodbye to really good friends.

This is a video of photo collection traveled through The way of Saint James, aka, Camino de Santiago, also in the names of Peregrinatio Compostellana, Pilgrimage of Compostela, O Camiño de Santiago leading from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain.
