Welcome back to Around The Globe, today on the channel we are going to check out the 11 HACKS to survive long-haul flights! Thanks to the miracle of human flight, we can now fly direct from Newark, New Jersey, to Singapore in just under 19 hours. That also means people spend nearly an entire day of their lives off the ground, in cruising altitude limbo, only to land with the kind of jet-lag that eclipses exhaustion. For any serious traveler, long-haul flights are a necessary evil. How do they do it? Here, 12 tips for surviving—even enjoying—a day in the air.
Buy your ticket as early as possible. Waiting and hoping for that $20 price drop, more often than not, is not worth the trouble. Not only does buying early give you peace of mind in the weeks and months leading up to your departure, it increases the likelihood that enough seats remain open for you to pick where you want to sit—whether you prefer to cuddle up to a window, have easy access to the aisle, or stretch your legs in an exit row. Wait until the last minute and chances are good that you (and your elbows) will be sandwiched into a dreaded middle seat. Frequent flier? The time to cash those miles in on an upgrade is now. Wear your most comfortable outfit. That fitted blouse and skin-tight pair of jeans might make you feel like you’re 20 again, but trust us—after sitting (and attempting to sleep) in them for 15 hours, you’ll never want to look at that outfit again. When it comes to long-distance travel, stick to a “comfy-chic” dress code of neutral, loose-fitting layers you can move around in. Besides keeping cozy on a flight, you’ll also guard against deep vein thrombosis—a serious condition that’s aggravated when you sit in cramped positions for long periods of time. Travel Hacks SECRET LEGROOM BUTTON | Airport & Airplane Tips 2018
Of all the travel tips and travel hacks out there, this one has been the most useful. One big problem with air travel is legroom, especially in economy class. Travel advice and flying tips are dime a dozen, but this simple travel hack with save you a lot of discomfort if you end up with a aisle seat. This is one of the best tips I've found, and one I think everyone should know.
Under the arm wrest of the aisle seat there is a secret button. Pressing this switch lifts the armrest up, and allows you to have much more leg room, and leg movement, especially when you need to exit the row.
80% of airplanes have this feature, but unfortunately not all of them do. It is there for flight attendants to left the armrest to allow for ease of exit during an emergency, and also for the disabled.
Travelers rejoice, those long haul flights might have gotten a little more comfortable, and air transport a little more enjoyable. It's basically one of my travel essentials now.

5 Travel Snack Hacks to Level Up your Flying Experience! (TSA Friendly)
Air Travel is getting more and more expensive, so finding any travel tips that can save you money and help you stick to a budget is fantastic! In this video I share with you five of my favorite travel hacks for bringing TSA friendly food and snacks on the plane with you. Saving you $$$ from buying food at the airport or even worse, on the airplane!

Pasta Salad Recipe:
Ingredients-
Pasta or Rice of choice (I used GF Brown Rice Pasta)
Grape or Cherry Tomatos
Cucumber
Kalamata Olives
Feta Cheese
Kale or Spinach
Italian Dressing
Directions-
1. Cook pasta per instructions (I like to leave it a bit more al dente because it will absorb more of the dressing for more flavor)
2. Slice tomatos and olives in fourths
3. Chop up cucumber (I like about 1/2 inch size chunks)
4. Chop up spinach or kale
5. Mix pasta and veggies in bowl, add dressing to taste.
6. Top with crumbled Feta Cheese
**As I mention in the video, you could add cooked chicken or maybe some salami to the salad. You could also add roasted to chickpeas and eliminate the feta for a vegan version.

What's up, guys. Today I'm showing you some travel hacks that'll make your next flight so much more enjoyable.
- See how long your flight is and if it provides a meal
- Make sure to bring some entertainment of your own - iPad, laptop, book, etc.
- Eat a rather large meal before your flight so you're comfortable and you increase your chances of sleeping
- When it comes to sleeping, make sure you book your seat in the back of the plane as the usually the rear of the aircraft will have empty seats which will allow you to stretch
- Bring a beverage on board (coffee, drink, etc)
- Buy a large bottle of water to bring on board
- Take off your shoes in flight
- NEVER disrespect your flight attendant!
